The down payment ratio for provident fund loans of existing residential housing (second-hand housing) in Zhengzhou has been lowered to 20%.
On August 26, Zhengzhou Housing Provident Fund Management Center issued the Notice on Further Leveraging the Housing Provident Fund Loan Policy, lowering the down payment ratio for provident fund loans for stock housing (second-hand housing) from 30% to 20%, and launching an intergenerational family mutual aid loan mechanism.
This policy applies to all depositing employees who purchase stock housing within the administrative region of Zhengzhou and apply for housing provident fund loans, aiming to reduce the pressure of raising upfront funds for home buyers and support rigid and improved housing demand.
Before the adjustment, the minimum down payment ratio for applying for provident fund loans to purchase such housing was 30%; after the adjustment, the unified minimum down payment ratio was reduced to 20%.
Previously, the down payment ratio for second-hand housing provident fund loans in Zhengzhou was lowered from 40% to 30% in 2023, and this further reduction to 20% reflects the continuous policy support for housing consumption.
