Deta Intelligence has reached a strategic cooperation with Wujin Technology to jointly standardize the data collection of whole-body coordinated dexterous manipulation.
On August 14, Delta Intelligence, a native humanoid robot foundation model company, announced that it has officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Wujitech, a dexterous hand hardware enterprise. The two sides will collaborate on data collection and model training for full-body coordinated dexterous operation, open up the full chain of "data collection — model training — dexterous operation", and plan to launch the jointly defined "Full-body Coordinated Dexterous Operation Data Standard" and "Model Training Baseline" within this year.
Dexterous operation does not occur in isolation in the hand. The supporting posture of the trunk, the motion trajectory of the arm and the change of visual focus together constitute a complete operation process. However, most of the existing dexterous operation data only record the degree-of-freedom information of the hand, which makes it difficult for the model to learn the cross-part coordination relationship. In real scenarios, it is easy to have the situation that the movement can be completed but the overall posture is unreasonable. The starting point of this cooperation between the two sides is to include this part of the coordination information that has been ignored for a long time before into the collection scope.
Delta Intelligence focuses on native Humanoid Foundation Models (HFMs) and native 3D world engines, and has the full-stack algorithm and technology deployment capability of the trinity of "data collection — foundation model — end side", committed to providing generalized full-body intelligence for humanoid robots. Wujitech has long focused on the dexterous hand hardware track, and its main products include direct-drive high-degree-of-freedom dexterous hands and lightweight data acquisition gloves, all of which have reached the top level in the industry.
According to the agreement, the two sides will focus on collaboration in two major directions: data collection system and model adaptation.
The first is to jointly build a standardized data collection system. In response to the long-term shortage of dexterous operation data in the field of embodied intelligence, the two sides will take Wujitech's lightweight data gloves as the core collection terminal, combined with Delta Intelligence's foundation model training capability, to build a standardized full-body coordinated dexterous operation data collection process, and unify the data format, labeling caliber and quality standards.
The second is the in-depth adaptation and deployment of hardware and algorithms. Wujitech's direct-drive dexterous hand will be adapted to Delta Intelligence's foundation model, and combined with Delta Intelligence's algorithm accumulation in humanoid foundation models and 3D world engines, complete the full link verification from high-precision data collection, model training to end-side deployment.
The two directions form a complete closed loop: the former solves where the data comes from, and the latter solves how the model returns to the hardware.
Ma Xiaojian, Founder and CEO of Delta Intelligence, and Pan Yunzhe, CEO of Wujitech, attended the signing ceremony together.
Ma Xiaojian, Founder and CEO of Delta Intelligence, said: "Dexterous hand operation is one of the most difficult links in the full-body coordinated operation of humanoid robots — it has the most degrees of freedom, the most complex contact situations, but the least available real data. The cooperation with Wujitech can not only collect these data more efficiently, but also turn these data into generalized capabilities."
Pan Yunzhe, CEO of Wujitech, said: "The value of a dexterous hand does not only depend on how many degrees of freedom it has, but also on the adaptation between it and the driving model. In the past, different projects often had great differences in data format, labeling method and evaluation caliber, and the hardware capabilities were repeatedly consumed in adaptation. We are willing to work with Delta Intelligence to make the data process and verification method of full-body coordinated dexterous operation clearer and more reusable, so that the dexterous hand capabilities can be more efficiently applied to real robot tasks."
This standard will unify the collection method, data format and evaluation caliber of full-body coordinated dexterous operation data, and the supporting model training baseline will provide reproducible comparison results. For the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, this means that the data and models in the dexterous operation scenario no longer need to be built repeatedly by each enterprise, and the development and deployment costs will be reduced accordingly. It also provides a shared foundation for the large-scale implementation of humanoid robots and dexterous operation terminals in fine assembly tasks such as wire harness plugging and threaded connector tightening, as well as in industrial manufacturing, commercial services and other fields.
