Yingke has learned that Suzhou Jipai Electromagnetic Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Jipai Electromagnetic") recently completed a new round of financing of tens of millions of yuan. This round of financing was jointly invested by Inno Angel Fund, Suzhou Venture Capital Angel Mother Fund, and Suzhou High - tech Rongcheng. The funds will be mainly used for production line equipment investment and R & D upgrades.

Jipai Electromagnetic was established in May 2023 and is headquartered in Suzhou. It is a provider of electromagnetic actuator solutions for the fields of industrial automation, automotive intelligence, and embodied intelligent robots. Its core products include solenoid valves, brakes, and clutches.

The company's core team is from the global leading electromagnetic industry as a whole, including members from the former China regional division management team, R & D, product management, project management, laboratory, engineering, etc. They have the forward - development ability from product definition to mass production and implementation, master core technologies, and own independent intellectual property rights.

Jiang Bao, the founder of Jipai Electromagnetic, said in an interview with Yingke that one of the company's core products that has achieved mass production - the electromagnetic damper used in automotive electric doors - has been stably delivered and holds the first market share in this niche market.

Based on the existing technological accumulation and local forward - R & D capabilities, Jipai Electromagnetic is accelerating the expansion of its product portfolio. Currently, it is focusing on two core product lines and four application scenarios: the electronically controlled shock absorber damping control valve (DCV) and air spring stiffness switching valve (ASV) for active suspension, the permanent magnet brake for brake - by - wire (EMB), and the joint module brake (PMB) for embodied intelligent robots.

Among them, the DCV proportional solenoid valve is a key component of the electromagnetic suspension system, with extremely high technical barriers. Currently, the overall domestic localization rate in China is less than 10%. Jiang Bao introduced that the company has achieved a key technological breakthrough and has become the first domestic enterprise that can fully meet the performance requirements of customers and reach the level of foreign manufacturers. The planned production capacity of its first production line is 1 million units, and it is expected to deliver about 200,000 units this year.

The EMB permanent magnet brake is a key executive component that uses the coupling design of the permanent magnetic field and the electromagnetic field to achieve the locking and release of the braking force. Compared with traditional solutions, it has advantages in terms of safety, reliability, power density, and energy consumption control. In this field, Jipai Electromagnetic's products have reached the automotive - grade standard, solved the problem of stable operation at a low temperature of - 40°C, and further improved reliability through the "bistable design", with its technology at the leading level in the industry. Currently, Jipai Electromagnetic's EMB permanent magnet brakes are mainly used in closed - road unmanned driving scenarios such as mining trucks and airport logistics, and the expected delivery volume this year is 3,000 to 5,000 units.

In the field of embodied intelligence, the robot joint module brake developed by the company can be adapted to various emerging forms such as humanoid robots and dual - arm wheeled robots, and supports customized development. Currently, the product has completed the sample verification and entered the small - batch delivery stage. Jiang Bao revealed that the company has reached cooperation with leading joint module and humanoid robot body manufacturers, and it is expected to enter the mass - production stage in the third quarter of this year, with a delivery volume of 50,000 to 100,000 sets (corresponding to about 3,000 to 5,000 robots) expected within this year.

Regarding the supply - chain challenges and market competition faced during the process of domestic substitution, Jiang Bao said that the company has completed the localization adaptation of the key supply chain. For example, in response to the performance differences between Chinese local materials and German materials, the team has carried out calibration work on the magnetic conductivity and friction performance of materials in cooperation with institutions such as Xi'an Jiaotong University and Tsinghua University, so as to develop products that better meet local needs.

At the same time, compared with the "European design, Chinese sales" model of foreign enterprises, Jipai Electromagnetic has the forward - design ability for the Chinese market, which can better adapt to the technical and large - scale requirements of the Chinese market that are independent of the European and American markets, and form unique advantages in terms of product iteration speed, cost control, and delivery efficiency.

In the future, Jipai Electromagnetic will continue to increase its investment in core product lines. About 60% to 70% of the funds from this round of financing will be used for the construction of production line equipment, and the rest will be invested in R & D to further consolidate its technological and manufacturing capabilities.
