According to a report by Zhidx on April 16th, today, Shanghai-based embodied intelligence startup Tashizhihang announced the completion of a Pre-A round of financing exceeding $450 million (approximately RMB 3.069 billion), setting a record for the highest single-round financing in the history of embodied intelligence in China.

The investment institutions in this round of financing cover four major dimensions:

Financial investors: Hillhouse Capital and Sequoia China jointly led the investment, with well-known financial funds such as Meituan Longzhu, CICC Capital, Kailian Capital, Orient Fortune Capital, and Junshan Investment following.

Strategic investors: Meituan Strategic Investment, as an important cornerstone strategic shareholder of the company, made a significant additional investment and continued to co-lead the round. Meanwhile, old shareholders such as Qiming Venture Partners, Linear Capital, BlueRun Ventures, Xianghe Capital, and Hongtai Fund also made strategic additional investments.

Industrial investors: TCL Industrial Investment, Futeng Capital, Shoucheng Holdings (0697.HK), Jianfa Emerging Investment, Hengxu Capital, and Guoji Investment participated in the investment.

State-owned capital: Beijing Robot Industry Development Investment Fund and Shanghai Guotou Pilot made their first joint investment in an embodied intelligence company.

Tashizhihang was founded in February 2025. In less than half a year since its establishment, the company has completed a cumulative $242 million (approximately RMB 1.65 billion) in financing, setting a record for the largest angel round financing in the history of embodied intelligence in China:

In March 2025, the company completed an angel round of $120 million (approximately RMB 818 million) in financing, co-led by BlueRun Ventures and Qiming Venture Partners.

In July 2025, the company completed a $122 million (approximately RMB 837 million) angel + round of financing, led by Meituan Strategic Investment, with Junshan Investment, Bihong Investment, Guoji Investment, Lingang Science and Technology Innovation Investment, etc. following.

In terms of hardware, Tashizhihang has launched the Wheel-type Industrial Robot Series A and the Bipedal General Robot Series T.

Among them, the Series A robots can achieve assembly operations with sub-millimeter precision. Taking wire harness assembly as an example, this is a typical high-difficulty precision operation task in industrial scenarios, widely used in fields such as automobile manufacturing and 3C electronics. Due to the extremely high difficulty of automation, wire harness assembly is also known as the "Goldbach's Conjecture" in the field of industrial automation.

In March this year, the A1 robot completed the complete assembly task of sub-millimeter flexible wire harnesses more than a hundred times within one hour, setting a new Guinness World Record. This is also the first Guinness World Record of a Chinese embodied intelligence enterprise in the field of industrial precision operations.

At the software level, Tashizhihang designed and developed the General Embodied Large Model AWE3.0. Tashizhihang claims that AWE3.0 is the world's first general embodied large model that "can do work", with the ability to accurately perceive, understand, and plan in the physical world, and support sub-millimeter operations and long-term stable execution.

AWE3.0 not only enables robots to perform stable and reliable operations from new perspectives they have never seen before, but also significantly eliminates stuttering, making task execution more stable, smooth, continuous, and natural, enabling robots to handle complex scenarios such as precision assembly and flexible manufacturing.

In terms of data collection, Tashizhihang has launched the SenseHub Wearable Embodied Data Collection System. SenseHub adheres to a human-centered approach and has created a full-link integrated solution from perception, calculation to transmission, which can accurately capture human whole-body motion data, tactile data, and multi-view camera data.

Li Zhenyu, the chairman of Tashizhihang, once served as the president of Baidu's Intelligent Driving Business Group, leading the creation of the Apollo autonomous driving open platform and the world's largest unmanned ride-hailing service platform, "Luobo Kuaipao".

Chen Yilun, the CEO of Tashizhihang, has successively served as the chief engineer of DJI's machine vision, the CTO of Huawei's autonomous driving, and the chief scientist in the field of intelligent robots at Tsinghua University's Institute of Intelligent Industry. He is a leading figure in China's autonomous driving industry. During his tenure at Huawei, Chen Yilun led the design of the full-stack algorithm of the intelligent assisted driving system ADS 1.0, established the core technology team, and promoted the commercial application of the product.

Ding Wenchao, the chief scientist, was formerly a "Genius Youth" at Huawei. He is a young scientist in the field of embodied intelligence and a researcher at Fudan University's Institute of Robotics. He led the end-to-end decision-making network of Huawei's intelligent driving from scratch and created Fudan University's first humanoid robot.

Li Zhenyu said that this round of financing will be used to accelerate the development of the general embodied large model AWE and continuously attract top talents in the industry. The next round of financing will be mainly used to build robots that can truly work and be mass-produced.
