The fleet size of Caocao Chuxing's Robotaxis has reached 100 vehicles, initiating exploration into unmanned, large-scale, and commercial operations.
On February 11th, Caocao Mobility announced that it had deployed 100 Robotaxis in Binjiang District, Hangzhou, and the operation was supported by the "Green Intelligent Mobility Island".
As the most important commercialization carrier of Geely Holding Group's Robotaxi, the company has planned a clear "three-step" strategy. Each step corresponds to different technological maturity levels and operational goals: the initial stage is for technology verification and small-scale test operation; the current stage will complete the transition from having a safety driver in the main seat to unmanned operation and explore the mixed operation of manned and unmanned driving; in the future, it will launch full-scale commercial operation of fully customized Robotaxis globally.
The deployment of 100 Robotaxis in Hangzhou this time is a crucial start for Caocao Mobility's Robotaxi 2.0 stage. According to the brand, as the fleet size increases, the company will further verify the service reliability, improve the fulfillment process and the passenger experience. Meanwhile, the company has launched the world's first "Green Intelligent Mobility Island" in Hangzhou, which has functions such as automatic battery swapping, automatic cleaning, vehicle interior arrangement, intelligent dispatching, and automatic settlement. It will also continuously enhance the automated operation ability of large-scale Robotaxis while ensuring the operation of the fleet.
Next, Caocao Mobility will gradually extend the daily service hours of Robotaxis, expand the service coverage area, and launch the Caocao Intelligent RAS Remote Safety Service Platform. It will fully apply the intelligent asset management system, further integrate the operational advantages with intelligent cockpit and intelligent driving technologies, achieve a closed-loop of unmanned operation of Robotaxis, and lay the foundation for large-scale promotion.
While deepening its domestic layout, Caocao Mobility is also actively expanding international cooperation. The company has signed a cooperation memorandum with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) and will set up an office there this year to cooperate with local institutions to promote the pilot of autonomous driving and green mobility technologies.
In addition, the company is jointly developing a fully customized Robotaxi model pre - installed with exclusive autonomous driving components and applications with Geely and relevant partners. This model will be unveiled this year, and it is planned to deploy a cumulative total of 100,000 vehicles by 2030. The Green Intelligent Mobility Island will be widely deployed in tandem with the Robotaxi business, providing automated operation support covering all scenarios and creating a "space - air - ground integrated" mobility ecosystem with partners.
