The Japanese government increased the upper limit of the subsidy for purchasing pure electric vehicles by 400,000 yen starting from January 1st, 2026, with the maximum subsidy reaching 1.3 million yen (approximately 58,000 yuan). The adjustment of the subsidy amount led consumers to postpone their purchases, affecting the sales volume.
