Gossiping, attending meetings, and chasing hot topics. I rely on AI to firmly hold the information high ground.

With so much information available, it's necessary to consume gossip more efficiently.

There's so much information

We should munch on gossip more efficiently

To fit in with the lively gossip group next door, I recently discovered a great tool that allows me to learn (munch on gossip) more efficiently, helping me painlessly gain the upper - hand in information acquisition.

I was extremely busy a while ago and didn't have time to savor the many new juicy gossips. The other morning, I saw a push notification titled "The big gossip about Shi Yongxin is more than just a romantic scandal." Wow, it was obvious that this gossip was both juicy and in - depth. But when I clicked in, the content was so long that I couldn't scroll to the end. It would take at least 20 minutes to read it all, which really tested my patience. So I starred and bookmarked it in the bottom - right corner first. Then I noticed that my bookmarked article list was also so long that I couldn't scroll to the end, and I couldn't keep up with others' gossip - munching progress. I even got disliked in chats.

I was wondering how others could keep up with every piece of gossip. They didn't seem to be very idle. So I humbly asked my chat buddies. They said they now rely on listening and showed me an app. I thought, WeChat has had the function of listening to the full text for a long time. Do we really need another app? But my buddy said it's different.

Efficient content extraction and podcast broadcaster

This app called ListenHub is actually an AI podcast generation tool. It can not only convert long written manuscripts into podcasts but also reorganize the article content more logically. If you only want to listen to the key points, choose "Quick Listen to the Highlights," and it will generate short podcasts of 3 - 5 minutes. If you want more comprehensive information, choose "In - depth Exploration." It will conduct more searches and supplements based on the source theme uploaded by the user and generate an 8 - 15 - minute podcast.

It sounded interesting. I pasted the link of the WeChat official account article about Shi Yongxin into the dialog box on the home page of ListenHub, selected the in - depth exploration mode, and asked it to "explain the content of this push notification in detail." About 2 minutes later, it generated a 10 - minute - and - 30 - second podcast in the form of a two - person conversation.

● Podcast generated based on the WeChat official account push notification

I compared the podcast with the original article content and found that it not only added more background information but also explained some terms, such as "revoking the ordination certificate" —

Question: "What does this mean in Buddhism? Does it mean being directly expelled from the clergy?"

Answer: "You can understand it this way. This is the most severe punishment in the Buddhist community. It means that the official completely denies Shi Yongxin's identity as a monk from a religious perspective..."

This was not in the original article, but it was indeed my blind spot. I really needed this explanation. It's a plus.

Create podcasts without a source

I found that in addition to links, you can also upload files in any format, such as PDF, Word, etc., in the dialog box. If you don't have a source, you can also have a try. Just directly enter the topic you want to know about, and it will create a podcast for you on the spot.

I casually wrote "Why do Meituan, Ele.me (Taobao Flash Delivery), and JD.com fight the '". Because I accidentally pressed the confirm button due to clumsiness, I sent it out before finishing typing, and I couldn't find the cancel button...

Unexpectedly, ListenHub found the right direction based on this incomplete prompt and generated a podcast titled "Meituan, Ele.me, and JD.com in the instant retail market: The trillion - dollar market is moving from a 'three - way battle' to refinement."

● The first podcast generated based on the "incomplete" prompt and its outline

It seemed quite reasonable, but it wasn't the answer I wanted. So I rewrote and completed my question: "Why do Meituan, Ele.me (Taobao Flash Delivery), and JD.com fight the 'food delivery war'?"

This time, the content was much more relevant. It told me that "behind this food delivery war is a comprehensive game among platforms in terms of user perception, supply - chain capabilities, technological strength, and future business patterns."

● The second podcast generated based on the complete prompt

At this time, I really wanted to shout "Wow!" This content - organizing ability quickly helped me keep up with the times, didn't it?

After the podcast was generated, I found a "Create Slides" button at the top of the page. If some content is not easy to understand just by listening, you can create a slide to help understand the core content. But since I'm using the listening function, I don't have the extra energy to look at the slides. I think it would be better to generate a summary clip and put it at the beginning of the podcast. But then I thought, maybe this is for podcasters who use it to produce podcasts. After all, its positioning is an AI podcast production tool, and surely many podcasters are using it.

● Slides created with one click using ListenHub

Actually, at this point, this tool can already meet my needs as a listener who wants to obtain information efficiently. But I'm a curious person and want to test it further.

I think one article can't fully demonstrate its summarizing ability. There is so much information every day. It would be too troublesome to make podcasts one by one. Can it, like existing radio broadcasts, gather daily real - time news into one podcast? So I casually threw all the links of the articles I saw to it, and unexpectedly, it could do it. It generated a 14 - minute podcast from 5 links.

● Podcast containing the content of 5 push notifications created using the "In - depth Exploration" mode

After multiple attempts, I found that when creating a podcast containing multiple information sources, the quality generated by the "In - depth Exploration" mode is higher, considering the amount of information.

Turn web pages into podcasts with one click

During the use of the web version, I found an icon like a "puzzle" in the lower - left corner of the page. I didn't know what it was for, so I decided to click it.

● There is a "plugin" icon in the lower - left corner of the ListenHub home page

It turned out to be a browser plugin. As long as you add it to your browser, you can convert the content of any web page you are browsing into a podcast. You just need to click the same puzzle icon in the upper - right corner of the web page, which saves the process of copying and pasting. It can also save the converted podcast to the database for me to listen to during my commute.

● Add the plugin to the browser

● Click the plugin on the web page you are interested in to convert it into a podcast

Generate a personalized AI voice - substitute for creators with one click

Oh, by the way, the generated podcasts are generally in the two - person conversation mode, and you can choose the voice yourself. I counted, and there are 18 types in total, including the voices of Bajie and Monkey King. There are only two output languages, Simplified Chinese and English.

● Types of voices provided by ListenHub

However, according to our paying and respected members, ListenHub has recently launched new features. One is the single - person mode, which means you can choose only one voice when generating a podcast. It skips the useless linking words in the two - person podcast. Previously, you had to choose two voices by default, and this is the same for other AI podcast products on the market.

Another new feature is called FlowSpeech. According to the introduction, it is the world's first TTS (Text To Speech) that can convert written language into spoken language. This should mainly serve podcasters who want to use it to produce podcasts. You can upload a file or a link, and it can directly generate a single - person podcast with more natural language. Yes, it can really speak like a human. The most important thing is that you can use your own voice. The official publicity point for this is "Free script editing + Voice customization = The strongest AI voice - substitute for every creator!" (I heard from the founder)
