36Kr learned that Xintai Technology, a domestic automotive semiconductor company, recently completed its Series C+ financing round. State-owned capital Kunshan Guochuang and Mingquan Technology, the controlling shareholder of Jiangsu Chaoli Electric Appliance, jointly participated in this round of financing.

It is reported that the funds from this financing will mainly be used for the mass production of automotive-grade chip products and the construction of a fully domestic supply chain.

Founded in 2017, Xintai Technology is mainly engaged in the design and R & D of automotive-grade semiconductor chip products. It provides chip products such as safety MCUs and main control MCUs, and can build a complete software and hardware ecosystem for intelligent connected vehicles.

36Kr learned that on November 1st this year, the ASIL-D high-functional safety main control MCU chip TTA8 independently developed by Xintai Technology was installed in the GAC Aion Hyper GT - Climbing Edition. This model is the first domestic intelligent new energy vehicle with 100% domestically designed chips. On November 11th, Xintai Technology reached cooperation agreements with Shanghai Huizhong, SAIC Financial Holdings, SAIC R & D Center, Huayu Automotive Systems, and Lianchuang Automotive Electronics to jointly empower SAIC Group's "Grand Chassis Strategy".

Xintai Technology said that from a technical perspective, the main difficulties of MCUs lie in functional safety, front - and back - end reliability design, power consumption, ease of use, and microscopic performance beyond the functions themselves. On the other hand, closely collaborating and verifying with vehicle manufacturers and Tier 1 customers to ensure that customers can use the products well is also a core barrier.
