Chinese tech new products are showcased at IFA.

On September 5th, IFA 2025 (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin), the world's leading trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances, officially opened its doors. With a history spanning over a century, IFA has long been a magnet for industry professionals worldwide, serving as a barometer of global technological innovation.

This year, more than 2,800 global home appliance and consumer electronics manufacturers converged at the event. Despite the autumn chill in Berlin, the enthusiasm of technology companies and visitors from around the world at the Berlin Exhibition Center remained undiminished.

36Kr reporters on-site noticed that prime advertising spots within kilometers of the exhibition halls were dominated by Chinese brands. Chinese companies' innovative achievements were prominently displayed in the technology exhibition areas, indicating that Chinese brands had once again made a strong presence at the event. As the most important gateway for global home consumer electronics brands to enter the European market, IFA has become a battleground for Chinese manufacturers.

In the past, IFA mainly showcased cutting-edge products in the home appliance industry. In recent years, its scope has expanded, transforming it into a "technology showcase" for the broader home scenario. Brands in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and green technology have also been actively participating.

At this year's IFA, there were fewer smartphone manufacturers than in previous years, but the diversity of other product categories was impressive. From power battery robots to drones and AI glasses, a wide range of new products were on display across the over 160,000-square-meter exhibition halls, leaving visitors spoilt for choice.

After walking tens of thousands of steps per day and accumulating over 100,000 steps to explore the entire IFA exhibition, we discovered several new products from different market segments that caught our attention.

An Adorable and Affordable Micro Electric Vehicle for European Youth

The most eye-catching product at this year's IFA was not a home appliance or consumer electronics device but an ASTRAUX micro electric vehicle with a trendy and cool design.

The decision to debut an electric vehicle at a consumer electronics exhibition rather than the Munich Auto Show hints at its unique positioning: this micro electric vehicle is first and foremost a technological product on wheels.

The ASTRAUX micro electric vehicle is packed with high-tech features. It comes with functions such as mobile karaoke, ambient lighting modes, and app connectivity, allowing it to transform into a "mobile party vehicle" at any time. It also offers an optional in-car projector, enabling entertainment experiences such as watching movies, playing games, and singing karaoke.

In addition, the electric vehicle is available with an optional in-car drone (for the high-end version). The drone can be launched with a single button, automatically follow the vehicle, and take photos and videos, adding more fun to the journey.

The vehicle's appearance is also highly attractive. The yellow-painted version resembles the "Minions," featuring a retro dashboard, large front headlights, a panoramic sunroof, and a 360° panoramic view (UV-resistant). It also has more than 10 magnetic storage spaces and oversized doors that account for over 80% of the vehicle's body. According to the manufacturer, 99 custom paint jobs and seasonal limited editions will be available in the future.

Based on its appearance and features, it's evident that ASTRAUX is targeting the European youth market. Its appealing and fun product concept makes it not just a means of transportation but also a "social tool" in a sense.

At the exhibition, we noticed that the product was well-received by visitors. The ASTRAUX "selfie wall" and the electric vehicle on display attracted many onlookers, and there was a long queue at the experience area.

Of course, any electric vehicle must be easy to drive. The ASTRAUX is compact, making it easy to park. It supports both home and public charging, as well as CarPlay and smart connectivity functions. The premium version comes standard with features such as keyless entry, maintenance reminders, remote air conditioning start, and remote battery range query.

The micro electric vehicle (SEV) market in Europe is a rapidly growing segment. Due to its environmental friendliness and affordability, it is popular among Generation Z (in some European countries, individuals aged 14 and above can legally drive them). Currently, this market is dominated by foreign models such as the Citroën Ami and Fiat Topolino. ASTRAUX offers a more cost-effective and technologically advanced alternative.

The original price of the ASTRAUX is 6,990 euros, but the early bird price is only 5,990 euros. Compared to foreign models like the Citroën Ami, it offers better features, longer range, and a lower price. According to foreign automotive media, the starting price of the ASTRAUX is approximately 12.5% lower than that of the most affordable competitor and about 60% lower than that of high-end competitors. They unanimously agree that the features and technological sophistication of the ASTRAUX make the Citroën Ami seem outdated.

In recent years, the rapid development and improvement of the Chinese electric vehicle industry have been remarkable. However, the uniqueness of the ASTRAUX micro electric vehicle lies not only in its cost-effectiveness but also in its

distinctive design and product concept, which address the pain points of the European youth market.

This product is not from a traditional automaker but from a Chinese tech startup called ASTRAUX. ASTRAUX was founded overseas by Su Jing, the former CEO of Xingji Meizu Group. Its founding members also include Chen Siying, the former COO of Polestar Technology, and Xie Sheng, a former senior executive at Xiaomi Group.

Notably, ASTRAUX positions itself not as an automaker but as a "global lifestyle technology brand." At this year's IFA, ASTRAUX also showcased other technological products such as an AI companion robot and AI glasses, which are equally distinctive.

The AI companion robot, Aimon, is priced at only 89 euros. It features a round spherical design, with a screen on the front serving as its "emotion window." The virtual IP image on the screen can engage in lively social interactions with users. Simple actions such as touching, shaking, and tapping can trigger different emotional responses from Aimon. It can also sense weather changes, festive atmospheres, and user emotions. Additionally, when two Aimon robots interact, hidden Easter eggs are triggered.

The Astraux AI glasses come in a variety of frame colors. They are equipped with an 8-megapixel first-person camera and open audio system, supporting real-time conversations with the ChatGPT model and multi-language translation functions. Similar to the Ray-Ban Meta glasses launched by Meta, the Astraux AI glasses are also UV400-certified sunglasses. The product is priced at 79 euros, with a limited-time launch price of only 49.9 euros.

A Double-Encrypted Portable Solid-State Drive: Your Security Backbone

Lexar, a consumer storage brand, has breathed new life into the seemingly mundane portable solid-state drive (SSD) market.

At the IFA exhibition, Lexar unveiled its new Lexar TouchLock double-encrypted portable SSD. This product features a card-like ultra-thin design, making it extremely portable.

Compared to traditional portable SSDs, the TouchLock's standout feature is its advanced encryption technology. It uses a self-developed main control chip from Huimicro, a subsidiary of Longsys Group, which combines NFC encryption technology with a hardware encryption module. The built-in 128-bit AES encryption main control chip and NFC encryption chip provide double protection for users' private data.

Moreover, the new product features an NFC touchless unlocking design. Users don't need to enter complex passwords or verify their fingerprints. Simply tapping their smartphones on the device's sensing area unlocks it instantly.

It's worth noting that this portable SSD also supports MagSafe magnetic attachment, allowing it to be easily fixed to an iPhone. When paired with the Lexar app, it enables one-click high-speed automatic backup of the phone's photo album.

From its sleek design to its user-friendly software services, it's clear that Lexar is actively responding to the new trend of mobile imaging. By simplifying the product and leveraging technological advancements to reduce its size, Lexar aims to lighten the load for content creators on the go.

A Recording Notebook with Dual "Handwriting + Recording" Function: Never Miss a Meeting Point

At the booth of Chinese manufacturer Hanwang Youji, a new recording notebook caught our attention.

The Aink Note, an AI-powered smart recording notebook, stands out for its dual "handwriting + recording" mode. These two recording methods operate independently, and the AI algorithm instantly converts voice content into text, precisely matching handwritten notes with transcribed speech.

In traditional meeting note-taking, it's common for users to miss important points because they can't listen and write simultaneously. The dual recording mode effectively addresses this pain point.

According to the booth staff, the product comes with a passive electromagnetic pen that allows users to write directly, digitizing notes in real-time. The built-in dual microphone array supports 360° omnidirectional sound pickup, enabling high-quality audio recording.

The Aink Note also offers an AI-powered smart meeting minutes function. Through the accompanying app, users can generate meeting summaries, to-do lists, and study notes with a single click, enhancing information organization and knowledge management efficiency.

At the exhibition, the staff demonstrated a seamless office scenario where the Aink Note and a smartphone work together using EMR electromagnetic induction technology. The content recorded on the smart recording notebook is instantly synced to the app, allowing users to view and edit notes directly on their smartphones using the electromagnetic pen. This creates a complete closed-loop from paper-based note-taking to digital management.

An Intelligent Home Power Management System: Integrating "Photovoltaic, Energy Storage, Charging, and Heat Pump"

Due to international geopolitical conflicts, energy costs in Europe have soared in recent years. As a result, European households' demand for new energy sources such as photovoltaics, home energy storage, heat pumps, and charging piles has skyrocketed. Consequently, there has been an increasing number of energy technology products at IFA.

Zendure, a Chinese clean energy technology company, launched an upgraded version of its intelligent ZEN+ home energy management system at IFA, which boasts several notable features.

The system now comes with a load control function. It can predict power generation, energy consumption, and dynamic electricity prices using AI, automatically optimizing charging and discharging strategies and load management to reduce electricity costs. According to the booth staff, by optimizing home energy usage through artificial intelligence algorithms, the system can help household users save up to 42% on their electricity bills.

Compared to the previous version, the new Home Energy Management System (HEMS) adds features such as precise load control, data-driven energy management, and intelligent voice control.

The precise load control function can power heat pumps during peak solar power generation or low electricity price periods and automatically charge Tesla electric vehicles.

Data-driven energy management provides real-time monitoring, in-depth analysis, annual energy reports, and personalized energy-saving recommendations. It helps household users optimize energy distribution based on actual data. Users can view and control the system in real-time through a mobile app.

The staff informed us that this function has been integrated with the dynamic electricity price data of over 700 energy suppliers in Europe. By automatically controlling charging and discharging based on real-time market data, weather changes, and user habits, it ensures that every kilowatt-hour of electricity is used efficiently.
