A gathering of "old friends", and seven stories transcending time. On August 29th, Lenovo's "Super Lenovo Fans Festival" held its 10th-anniversary event "Want to See You", where Lenovo's old friends gathered together on this special festival dedicated to the "Lenovo Fans" community.

On the day of the event, Lenovo invited nearly a hundred users to visit the Innovation Open Day and participate in the "Old Friends Certification Meeting". Seven user representatives took the stage to share the warm moments of growing up with Lenovo and inspiring each other.

On-site, Li Jifan was awarded the title of "Tianxi Evolution Mentor". He is a fan of Lenovo Tianxi Super Intelligent Agent (formerly Xiaotian), and also a "troublesome" fan - within more than a year, he submitted about 50 product suggestions to Lenovo in total. He joked that at first it was just "random feedback" and he never expected to be noticed. Surprisingly, Lenovo's team responded actively and very quickly after receiving his product suggestions, which really surprised him. He said, "Over the years, apart from platforms that would actively call me to remind me to repay the loan, no big brand's team has ever directly contacted me to listen to users' opinions."

In this process, he witnessed the evolution of "Lenovo Xiaotian" into "Lenovo Tianxi Personal Super Intelligent Agent", and its interface was changed from the original small attached window to a full-screen browser style. When a large number of users feedback that they preferred the old version, Lenovo didn't choose one over the other, but retained both styles for users to choose from. "Now many products are 'teaching users what to do', but Lenovo has managed to 'learn from users'," Li Jifan sighed. It is this kind of "user-centered" listening and response that gives the "Lenovo Fans" users a unique sense of "companionship".

This companionship cannot be separated from the excellent quality of the products themselves. Mr. Xiao Huo, a photographer awarded the title of "King of All-scenario Applications", deeply understands this. On Heixiazi Island, the easternmost part of the Chinese mainland, he used the Lenovo Legion Y700 to observe the flight of drones in an extremely cold environment of about -35°C. The severe cold is an extreme test for the device, but the Lenovo Legion Y700 performed far beyond expectations: the battery temperature was maintained at about -15°C and it never let him down. "It is not only a device, but also a loyal and reliable partner."

Now, Lenovo Legion products have become an indispensable part of his work. In five years, he has completed hundreds of projects using Lenovo Legion products. Whether it is multi-camera editing or large-scale rendering, it has never disappointed him at critical moments. He said, "It is the most reliable assistant in my work."

Those who also regard Lenovo Legion as a "comrade-in-arms" include Feng Zhe, the winner of the title of "Superpower Senior". From the provincial competition and the East China competition of the MakeX Robotics Challenge to the global championship, since 2019, the Lenovo Legion Y7000P has been his strongest backing. He said, "The stable and reliable performance allows me to fully focus on coding and training."

In addition to the hardcore performance, Lenovo also gives him a comprehensive sense of "security". For example, the Frost Blade Ultra cooling system of the Lenovo Legion Y9000K ensures that the CPU and GPU can output at full capacity under extremely heavy loads during his production process that lasts for more than ten hours, giving him the confidence to polish and make trial-and-errors repeatedly. Once there was a hardware failure, and the repair process at the Lenovo service station only took less than 30 hours in total. "My next computer will still be a Lenovo Legion product," he said. "A good partner can accompany you to go further."

Companionship can withstand the long years; love can withstand the passage of time. Yu Hua, one of the initiators of the ThinkPad Blacksmith National Fan Club and with the number 002, has a 15-year history of collecting ThinkPad products. In this event, he was awarded the title of "Co-founder of ThinkPad Blacksmith". Among his "exhibits", there are 54 ThinkPad laptops and 17 moto phones, including rare classic models such as the Butterfly machine and the 700T.

Last year, he presented a classic 1995 ThinkPad 701c Butterfly machine customized by the AI of Teacher Zeng's Blacksmith team to Wang Zhong, the ThinkPad Thought Leader of Lenovo. This ThinkPad 701c Butterfly machine is particularly special - under the classical keyboard lies the "digital soul" of Tianxi AI. "This is a love letter to the history of technology," Yu Hua said. "It's like installing a new energy heart on a steam engine."

Those who also have a deep connection with Lenovo include Zhang Gaolong, the winner of the title of "moto Phone Collector". He owns nearly 20 moto phones. According to him, the continuous innovation spirit is what attracts him most about moto. From the first mobile phone DynaTAC 8000X, to the V70 and R1 that can be opened by 360° rotation, to the personalized customization of the X series and the modular design of the Z series, and then to the water-drop hinge patent and the first vertical folding-screen phone, he said, "Many firsts are the best manifestation of the innovation spirit."

The same is true in terms of software and systems, including the early exploration of intelligent operating systems, handwriting recognition of the Ming series, voice wake-up, active display, super interconnection, AI capabilities, etc. These innovations also attract Zhang Gaolong. He said, "With the arrival of the AI era, the Tianxi Personal Super Intelligent Agent built into moto phones will make users more handy."

"Coming to Lenovo is like coming home." Hou Zheng, who was awarded the title of "Senior Lenovo Employee", is a senior IT engineer. In 1998, in the era when the Internet was just emerging, Hou Zheng got acquainted with Lenovo and bought his first Lenovo computer - Tianqin 969. Later, out of interest and love, he started working as an "obligatory engineer" at the Lenovo Andingmen store. Since the store was established more than twenty years ago, he has hardly missed a day. He joked, "Ordinary employees in the store may not be as familiar with the products as I am."

Later, out of his "infinite love" for Lenovo products, Hou Zheng came up with the idea of establishing a "New Museum of Lenovo Legion". Subsequently, devices of various levels and configurations of Lenovo's "Xiaoxin" and "Legion" series were successively included in Hou Zheng's collection, and he also became a veritable "museum curator".

Every year, public welfare activities are an indispensable part of the "Super Lenovo Fans Festival". In this "Old Friends Reunion" event, there is also a "Lenovo Fan" user who often participates in public welfare activities. She is Tian Ru, who graduated from Lenovo idea Elite Club and has now officially joined Lenovo. She was awarded the title of "idea Ace Elite" at this event. She said that she "came from campus and then went back to campus".

In 2017, when she got in touch with Lenovo idea Elite Club, she started participating in various public welfare activities. Later, she participated in the "Wonderful Vacation" program and became the representative of Lenovo's college student volunteers. Four years later, she became a Lenovo employee, changing from an executor of activities to a planner. For the first time, she returned to her alma mater with this new identity. "At that moment, I suddenly understood what 'inheritance' means," she said. "It's not just a word in a PPT, but to relight all the moments that were once illuminated with our own hands."

Over the past decade, these stories have evolved from product suggestions into feature iterations, from tournament trophies into life milestones, and from collection hobbies into the inheritance of science and technology culture... They are all witnesses of the two-way journey between Lenovo and the "Lenovo Fans".

Lenovo's "Super Lenovo Fans Festival" has never been just an event. It is an echo, where suggestions are seriously listened to, products are extremely trusted, and love is solemnly collected; it is also a glimmer of light, leading from users to friends, from participation to inheritance, and from ten years to an even more distant future.
