On May 9, 2025, the first Commercial Vehicle Battery Technology Day and the New Product Launch of Open-Source Batteries of EVE Energy Co., Ltd. officially kicked off. At this launch event, EVE Energy introduced its third-generation open-source batteries.

The open-source battery is the industry's first all-scenario commercialized battery brand officially launched by EVE Energy on May 9, 2024. Different from the consumer aesthetics and emotional value of passenger cars, EVE Energy designed the open-source battery to better meet the operational capabilities and profit values that commercial vehicle users focus on, aiming to help users expand their sources of income and increase profits.

Nowadays, the commercial vehicle market is entering an accelerated phase of electrification. As one of the earliest enterprises engaged in the R & D and manufacturing of commercial vehicle batteries, EVE Energy naturally seizes the demand. At this launch event, EVE Energy also presented eight ace products of open-source batteries, offering all-scenario solutions to meet the all-scenario operating condition requirements from micro vans and light trucks in the logistics vehicle segment to short-haul and long-haul heavy trucks, as well as buses and construction machinery.

The first product is the LF125P - 41.86kWh standardized battery product launched by EVE Energy for the micro van market, which accounts for up to 93% of urban logistics distribution. By adopting a 2C constant-current direct charging architecture, this product can stably output a maximum charging current of 250A throughout the process, achieving a 20% - 80% state of charge (SOC) replenishment in just 18 minutes, and it also provides an ultra-long warranty of 8 years or 600,000 kilometers.

The second product is the LM254 - 160kWh battery launched by EVE Energy for the light truck market of logistics vehicles. It uses the largest mid-mounted single-pack solution in its class, supports a 400-kilometer range, and is not afraid of low-temperature environments. Thanks to the application of the LMX material system, its system energy density reaches 180Wh/kg and can maintain 85% energy efficiency in a -20°C low-temperature environment.

The third product is the LF324S - 43.8kWh battery launched by EVE Energy for the bus field, based on the design concept of "the same lifespan for the vehicle and the battery". This ace product achieves an ultra-long warranty of 10 years or 1 million kilometers, a system specific energy of 170Wh/kg, and a volumetric specific energy of 268Wh/L. All its performance data are at an advanced level in the industry.

The fourth product is the LF628 - 350kWh battery specially designed for the construction machinery field. The large square battery and CTB technology it uses can achieve a high integration of 200Wh/L, support a 2-minute rapid assembly onto the vehicle, and the design of a 6000-cycle ultra-long service life can effectively extend the equipment's profit cycle.

The above four products are respectively targeted at different urban scenarios. The next four products are a product matrix with a full - series CTB technology architecture launched specifically to meet the differentiated scenario requirements of the heavy truck market. Heavy trucks are the sub - market with the largest demand for power batteries in the commercial vehicle sector. EVE Energy has also developed different products for key scenarios such as short - haul transportation and long - haul logistics.

The first heavy truck product is the megawatt - class LF230P - 453kWh battery, which provides a solution for short - haul heavy trucks with a battery at the rear. It can achieve a 10% - 80% SOC in just 18 minutes, with a maximum charging power of 1500kW, and is coupled with liquid cooling at the charging pile end, saving time for fast charging. It is expected to create an additional annual operating income of 50,000 yuan for users.

The second heavy truck product is the high - integration rear - mounted LF668 - 448kWh battery, which has a capacity of 668Ah and a system capacity of 448kWh with a height of less than 1 meter. This system has both charging and battery - swapping versions, with a higher integration level. The weight of the battery with the same power is reduced by 0.5 tons, and it is expected to create an additional annual operating income of 12,000 yuan for users. Calculated over a 6 - year vehicle life cycle, each vehicle is expected to earn an additional 72,000 yuan.

The third heavy truck product is the advanced rear - mounted LF420 - 563kWh battery, which uses the current highest - specification square battery cell LF420 with a height of 248 millimeters. With a larger power reserve and a self - weight similar to that of a 423kWh battery, the overall height is reduced by 600 millimeters, not blocking the rear - window view of the cockpit, and can cover most of the short - haul transportation scenario requirements.

The fourth heavy truck product is the LMX product LM284 - 851kWh battery, with an energy ratio as high as 170Wh/kg, which can provide a 700 - kilometer range for the vehicle, enabling the vehicle to easily travel long distances even at the end of its life. Compared with fuel - powered heavy trucks, the electric heavy trucks using this ace product can save up to 500,000 yuan in fuel and electricity costs over five years, creating huge operational value for users.

EVE Energy also revealed some technical details of the eight products. For example, at the battery cell level, it uses the LMX chemical material system, with the volume and capacity being the same as those of lithium iron phosphate battery cells; at the system level, the minimalist design reduces the number of system components by 50% and increases the system power by 25%; in terms of thermal management, it uses the third - generation 3D liquid - cooling technology, achieving a maximum system temperature of 42°C, an overall temperature difference of 5°C, and a 20% increase in service life, etc.

The electrification transformation of new - energy commercial vehicles is attracting many battery manufacturers to make layouts. In addition to EVE Energy, companies such as CATL, BYD, and CALB are also actively expanding. EVE Energy's product launch this time has once again accelerated the electrification of commercial vehicles. In the future, the competition in this field will be more intense.
