02 A Strong Lineup of the Review and Consultation Team

In order to encourage the emergence of more innovative AI-native applications and discover cases with innovation, demonstration, and promotion value in the field of AI-native applications, 36Kr launched the "2025 AI Native Application Innovation Case" collection activity in January this year. The selection scope covers multiple scenario cases such as general applications, tool applications, vertical applications, and terminal applications. 

Since the launch of this case collection, it has received widespread attention and active participation from the industry. Up to now, nearly 100 registration cases have been received, fully demonstrating the innovative application and huge potential of AI-native in different scenarios. 

In order to ensure the neutrality, authority, and rigor of the selection, 36Kr specially invited well-known tech experts, industry experts, investors, and the content/research heads of 36Kr in the field of AI to form a review and consultation team to conduct a strict evaluation of the participating cases. 

36Kr will strictly keep the participating data confidential during the selection process and desensitize it during the evaluation to prevent bias and data leakage. Under the repeated deliberation and comprehensive evaluation of multiple judges, the final evaluation results will be formed. 

In this "2025 AI Native Application Innovation Case" selection activity, 36Kr specially invited 13 guests to serve as the review and consultation team, including Liu Yunxin, a professor and doctoral supervisor at Tsinghua University, the chief researcher of the Institute of Intelligent Industry, Zhang Jing, the global partner of Bain & Company, Huang Yungang, the managing partner of Source Code Capital, Zhang Peng, the partner of Northern Light Venture Capital, Cai Wei, the partner of Lightspeed China Partners, Chen Yu, the partner of Yunqi Capital, Liu Zhiyi, a leading scientist in artificial intelligence in China and a researcher at the Shanghai Collaborative Innovation Center for Social Governance of Artificial Intelligence, Chen Qiufan, a science fiction writer and the deputy director of the Science Fiction Literature Committee of the China Writers Association, Tu Lingyu Zhou, a doctoral supervisor and researcher at the Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xue Hengxiao (Sanyi Doctor), a doctor from Harbin Institute of Technology and a tech self-media, Lao Shi, the manager of Laoshi Tanxin and a doctor from Imperial College London, Zou Ping, the dean of 36Kr Research Institute, and Su Jianxun, the editor-in-chief of 36Kr Technology (in no particular order). 

03 Insights from the Judges: The Prospect of AI Native Applications

In order to better understand the current development status and related research of AI-native applications, 36Kr specially invited some guests from the review and consultation team to conduct interview and research on issues related to AI-native applications. The following are some of their brilliant viewpoints: 

Regarding the development prospects of AI-native applications, Chen Yu, the partner of Yunqi Capital, said that in the short term, productivity improvement, AI for science, entertainment, etc. may be the AI-native application scenarios that may take the lead in breaking through and achieving commercialization in the short term. With the decrease in computing power costs and the improvement of model performance, the functions of AI-native applications are becoming more and more perfect, thereby better meeting people's needs and giving a new form to future life and work. The embryonic form of the future can be glimpsed from the current usage of AI applications. 

Taking the productivity improvement scenario as an example: In terms of information acquisition, AI chatbot products have subverted the traditional search engine model, improving the search efficiency. Users can usually directly obtain the needed information without having to screen and filter from several search results; in terms of content generation, generative AI helps users accurately and effectively generate content, helping to save 80-90% of the time; in addition, the breakthrough and application of Agent products will realize the automation of more complex task operations, reduce repetitive work for humans, and release more energy into creative work. 

Zou Ping, the dean of 36Kr Research Institute, believes that in the next 1-3 years, the subdivided tracks such as AI intelligent assistants, AI search, AI medical image diagnosis, AI education, and AI creation are worthy of attention. These technological innovations jointly promote the continuous intelligence and experience upgrade of AI-native applications. 

Tu Lingyu Zhou, a doctoral supervisor and researcher at the Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that the core innovations that promote the upgrade of the AI-native experience are mainly concentrated in technical dimensions such as multimodal perception fusion, dynamic cognitive architecture, emotional computing engine, distributed edge intelligence, and value alignment system. These technological breakthroughs make AI evolve from a tool to an intelligent agent with context awareness, continuous evolution, and value judgment capabilities, redefining the boundary of human-machine collaboration.
