The Frontline | SVOLT Energy Battery Day: Four New Products Launched, Doubling the Shipping Volume by 2025.

On January 8, SVOLT Energy held the fifth Battery Day in Chengdu. It was still to summarize the achievements of the past year and release new products for 2025.

In the past year, SVOLT Energy's installed capacity has steadily increased. According to the data statistics of the China Automotive Power Battery Innovation Alliance, in November 2024, SVOLT Energy's domestic power battery installed capacity was 2.34 GWh, with a year-on-year growth of 68.35%, and the market share increased to 3.49%, ranking fifth. From January to November, SVOLT Energy's domestic power battery installed capacity reached 14.21 GWh, ranking sixth in the country.

In the second half of 2024, SVOLT Energy's shipments began to explode. "In July, with the launch of new models of multiple customers, the short-blade battery equipped with popular models achieved rapid growth. In October, the orders increased explosively. In November, the loading volume ranked fifth for two consecutive months, and the monthly shipment volume exceeded 3 GWh," Chairman Yang Hongxin recalled at the Battery Day.

The customer structure of SVOLT Energy is also constantly optimizing. Great Wall Motor is still the largest customer, but the shipment proportion is only 28%. Geely Automobile is the second largest customer, with a shipment proportion of 24%. Spotlight Automotive (BMW MINI) has a shipment proportion of 14%, Stellantis has a proportion of 10%, and Leapmotor has a proportion of 9%.

In addition, in 2024, SVOLT Energy also obtained new fixed-points from Hyundai Motor, SAIC Maxus, Caterpillar, and Indian customers, and obtained the European project fixed-point of Stellantis Energy Storage.

After sharing the achievements of 2024, Yang Hongxin predicted the four new trends in 2025 and released several products accordingly.

The first trend is that the sales of new energy off-road vehicles will grow explosively. "Whether it is Great Wall, Changan, Chery, BAIC, and of course BYD, the new energy of off-road vehicles is growing rapidly," Yang Hongxin said.

In response, SVOLT Energy has also launched an off-road dedicated battery. This product is specially customized for hybrid off-road models, using a double-layer fortress structure design, with a large capacity design of 59 degrees, a pure electric cruising range of 120 km, a charging power of up to 163 kW, and can complete fast charging within 15 minutes. Yang Hongxin also shared that as of January 8, 2025, SVOLT Energy's off-road battery has been successfully installed on 100,000 vehicles.

The second trend is that the cruising range of pure electric vehicles has met the main travel scenarios, and ultra-fast charging will be rapidly popularized. Therefore, SVOLT Energy has launched the third-generation short-blade battery cell - the Bee Travel Short-blade Battery, and created an ultra-fast charging version and a long-life version.

The Bee Travel Ultra-fast Charging Version has a charging capacity of 6C, which is 100% higher than the previous generation, and can complete 10%-80% energy replenishment within 8.5 minutes. For the end charging from 80% to 100%, this battery only takes 9 minutes, which is more than 60% shorter than the ordinary fast charging batteries in the industry.

The Bee Travel Long-life Version supports more than 5,000 fast charging cycles, which is 67% higher than the previous generation, and the vehicle can achieve a service life of 15 years or 600,000 kilometers.

Third, Yang Hongxin believes that the HEVization of commercial and passenger fuel vehicles will become a new trend. SVOLT Energy has also launched a hybrid battery for both commercial and passenger use - the HEV Battery.

This product uses a high-power soft-pack battery cell with a capacity of 5.2 Ah, and the pulse discharge power can reach 75C, and the pulse charging power can reach 58C. Yang Hongxin also introduced that compared with fuel commercial vehicles, this system has a significant fuel-saving effect, saving up to 15% in plain areas and up to 25% in mountainous areas, and the annual income can increase by 60,000 to 100,000 yuan.

Fourth, improving fast charging and lifespan has become an urgent need for commercial vehicle power batteries. In response, SVOLT Energy has launched a commercial vehicle long-distance battery, including a fast charging lifespan version and a 4C ultra-fast charging version.

The long-life version has a single-pack power of 95.7 degrees, with a 3C charging rate, and provides an 8-year/1.5 million-kilometer warranty life. The fast charging version has a single-pack power of 91.4 degrees, with a more efficient 4C charging rate, and can complete 10% to 80% SOC charging in 14 minutes.

In addition to the four trends and products, in manufacturing, Yang Hongxin also revealed that SVOLT Energy has completed the verification of the 3.5-generation flying stack technology.

The 3.5-generation flying stack production line has improved the product yield by 30%, the equipment stability by 50%, and the overall machine time utilization rate by 8%. The design of the negative electrode roller feeding carrier has been simplified from the up-down flying cut in the 3.0 version to a single-path cutting, further improving the stability by 50%. In the third quarter of 2025, SVOLT Energy will introduce the 3.5-generation production line for mass production.

Finally, Yang Hongxin predicted the shipment volume of SVOLT Energy. In 2025, the shipment volume of SVOLT Energy's power batteries is expected to double, the number of new vehicles equipped will exceed 20, and the implementation of new project development will exceed 15, of which the overseas proportion will exceed 30%.
