The new energy industry is ushering in a new inflection point. How can enterprises set out again?
In 2024, the new energy industry ushered in a new turning point.
The leader in the industry remains the new energy vehicle. According to the data of the China Passenger Car Association, in July 2024, the retail sales of new energy passenger vehicles in China reached 878,000 units, with a penetration rate of 51.1%, exceeding 50% for the first time and occupying a large share of the automotive market.
The popularity of new energy vehicles has driven the growth of the entire new energy market. For example, the large demand for lithium batteries from new energy vehicles has caused the price of lithium batteries to rise briefly and then continue to decline, and has promoted the development of a series of industries such as energy storage and photovoltaics. In addition, the solid-state battery, fuel cell, and hydrogen energy, which are at the forefront of the industry, have also frequently reported good news in the past year.
Overall, in 2024, the entire new energy industry presented a thriving development trend. For enterprises in the automotive, energy, and other ecological chains, the transformation to new energy is no longer an optional question but a practical compulsory course.
However, any transformation is unlikely to be smooth. The resistance to transformation brought about by the enterprises' comfort zones, the difficult decisions that management faces during the transformation, and the pain during the transformation process are the norm in the industry transformation process. Facing various challenges in the new energy transformation process, various enterprises in the new energy ecological chain need to unite and seek common development.
On November 30, 2024, the "Annual Conference of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce Automobile and Motorcycle Parts and Accessories Chamber of Commerce" was held in Shanghai, and the "New Energy Vehicle (Industry) Service Professional Committee" (hereinafter referred to as the "New Energy Professional Committee") conference was successfully held to provide transformation empowerment for new energy-related enterprises.
The All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce Automobile and Motorcycle Parts and Accessories Chamber of Commerce was established in 2002 and is a chamber of commerce organization directly under the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China. Currently, the chamber of commerce has more than 200 directly affiliated members and more than 20,000 grassroots members, and has established a product supply network covering mainstream auto parts manufacturers, auto supplies manufacturers, and auto repair equipment manufacturers, helping various units achieve production and sales, and production and research connections.
In the field of new energy, the chamber of commerce hopes to build an ecological system for the new energy industry by building the "New Energy Professional Committee", a professional new energy industry service platform, and to help member enterprises achieve multi-dimensional and in-depth resource docking and industry integration through various activities such as seminars and forums, promoting the collaborative development of all links in the industry.
At the establishment site of the New Energy Professional Committee on November 30, Zhang Xiaoping, the president of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce Automobile and Motorcycle Parts and Accessories Chamber of Commerce and the chairman of Ruili Group Co., Ltd., delivered a speech on behalf of the chamber of commerce, putting forward many expectations for the future work of the New Energy Professional Committee.

Mr. Zhang Jiupeng, who was elected as the chairman of the New Energy Professional Committee, pointed out in his speech that he hopes that member enterprises and governing units can obtain better platforms and development opportunities.
Sun Junmin, the supervisor of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce Automobile and Motorcycle Parts and Accessories Chamber of Commerce and the general manager of Xi'an Haina (Group) Automobile Service Co., Ltd., and He Jianping, the vice-chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce Automobile and Motorcycle Parts and Accessories Chamber of Commerce and the chairman of Dalian Demaishi Precision Technology Co., Ltd., represented the chamber of commerce and held an awarding ceremony for the representatives of the chairman, vice-chairman, standing director, and governing unit that had just been passed by the resolution.
At the meeting, Chairman Zhang Jiupeng issued appointment certificates for the secretary-general and deputy secretary-general to Dai Chen, the dean of Magic Cube Automobile/Magic Cube Business School, Liu Ying from the Secretariat of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce Automobile and Motorcycle Parts and Accessories Chamber of Commerce, Lin Lin from Zhonghai Boyue Group, and Zhang Yue from Master De.
The development of the Professional Committee cannot be separated from the support of industrial expert advisors. At the meeting, Chairman Zhang Jiupeng issued appointment certificates to Dr. Zhou Yongliang, the director of the Research Center for Listed Manufacturing Companies of the China Machinery Industry Economic and Management Research Institute, Li Baomin, the former executive vice-chairman and secretary-general of the Automobile and Motorcycle Parts and Accessories Chamber of Commerce, and Liao Jingnan, the former director of the Toyota Think Tank - Modern Culture Research Institute.
Subsequently, the meeting entered the forum session. Finally, the New Energy Professional Committee and Beijing Dentons Law Firm signed a strategic cooperation agreement on the spot.
In the future, the New Energy Professional Committee will continue to rely on the platform of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce Automobile and Motorcycle Parts and Accessories. Under the east wind of the vigorous development of the new energy industry, it will provide member enterprises with more comprehensive and in-depth resource integration, industrial integration, and industry linkage services, helping more Chinese enterprises seize the window period of new energy transformation, seize opportunities, and achieve takeoff.
