PixelBloom (AiPPT.com) CEO Zhao Chong: All applications in the future deserve to be redone with AI | WISE 2024 Business King

AI changes the efficiency of work and learning, and therefore the user needs also change.

The environment is constantly changing, and the times are always evolving. The "Business Kings" follow the trend of the times, insist on creating, and seek new driving forces. Based on the current large-scale transformation of the Chinese economy, the WISE2024 Business Kings Conference aims to discover the truly resilient "Business Kings" and explore the "right things" in the Chinese business wave.

From November 28 to 29, the two-day 36Kr WISE2024 Business Kings Conference was grandly held in Beijing. As an all-star event in the Chinese business field, the WISE Conference has reached its twelfth session this year, witnessing the resilience and potential of Chinese business in an ever-changing era.

2024 is a year that is somewhat ambiguous and has more changes than stability. Compared with the past ten years, people's pace is slowing down, and development is more rational. 2024 is also a year to seek new economic momentum, and the new industrial changes have put forward higher requirements for the adaptability of each subject. This year's WISE Conference takes Hard But Right Thing as the theme. In 2024, what is the right thing has become a topic we want to discuss more.

Zhao Chong, CEO of PixelBloom (AiPPT.com)

On the afternoon of November 28, Zhao Chong, CEO of PixelBloom (AiPPT.com), delivered a speech with the theme of "How AI Venture Studio Blossoms Globally". The following is the speech record of Mr. Zhao Chong, edited and sorted out by 36Kr:

You may not have heard of our company name "PixelBloom", but you may have heard of our product AiPPT.com, which has accumulated more than 10 million users in the past 12 months.

In fact, there are 1.5 billion white-collar workers in the world, and the global office software market size reaches 400 billion yuan. This is a very promising market.

In the past 12 months, although we have achieved the result of more than 10 million users, we do not think this is because the team is so strong, but because the arrival of AI has brought about a huge change in everyone's work and learning efficiency, and the user's needs have also undergone a very big change. Therefore, I believe that all applications in the future are worth redoing with AI.

At the same time, traditional manufacturers may face some innovator's dilemmas. Just like it is not BMW, Mercedes-Benz, or Porsche that made new energy vehicles, but Tesla. This principle also applies to the AI industry. Therefore, this is an opportunity for disruptors, innovators, and new species.

Maybe you are more interested in how we can stand out with not so much budget. In fact, when it comes to user growth, there are two core logics:

The first logic is to occupy the user's mind. We are a bit clever in this area - the brand name is the category name. Use AiPPT.com or the same-named APP for AI-written PPTs. Therefore, when our peers promote products, some traffic may flow to us.

The second core point is to occupy all demand entrances, and this requires embracing all major manufacturers. How do we do it? Our product was launched in August last year, and in October, we opened the API. For example, we packaged and output the AI PPT online editor, a large number of exquisite PPT templates, and 500 million copyright illustrations from our shareholder Visual China to partners in all user scenarios.

There are several types of partners in this area. The first type is large model manufacturers such as Kimi. The second type is hardware manufacturers, such as Lenovo and Honor, and perhaps Vivo and OPPO will also use our application in the future. The third is chip manufacturers, such as AMD and Intel, and the application can still be used in an offline environment. There are also many Internet giants, including 360 and DingTalk, as well as many partners in vertical industries.

Many overseas players are also using our API. For example, a very popular AI search product Felo in Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan recently. After users use AI search to generate an outline, they can click a button to turn the outline into a PPT.

Let's take a look at a more interesting product with Chinese characteristics. There are 7.8 million civil servants, 30 million employees in public institutions, and 50 million employees in state-owned enterprises and central enterprises in China. They have special requirements for writing PPTs, such as the need for a corpus of mainstream values and the content of various leaders' speeches. We have collaborated with People's Daily Online on a product. People's Daily Online provides the corpus and adds a content review function to filter out information with many politically sensitive words to ensure that the PPTs generated by leaders are fine.

We have also solved the security problem. We deploy all services on the People's Media Cloud. As you may know, perhaps every public account push of People's Daily Online has a reading volume of "100,000+", and they also have a complete sales system in various places that can directly reach the local competent departments.

Next, we also plan to launch the financial version and the medical version. We hope to cooperate with top partners in various industries to create separate industry versions. These industry versions can be equipped with special knowledge bases in the industry to meet the specific needs in the industry. Of course, we have many partners, including AI manufacturers, Internet giants, vertical application manufacturers, and enterprise OA systems.

All the content just mentioned is actually only one product line of our company. In fact, our company has six product lines.

For example, the 365 WeChat Official Account Editor we launched in 2017 is currently used by three or four out of every ten new media operators in China, and there is also the graphic design tool "iSheji" (isheji.com). Recently, we have also invested in an interesting product called "Dingdang Haoji" (Readlecture.cn), which can condense a two-hour YouTube or Bilibili lecture video into a graphic content that can be viewed within five minutes.

Our team is distributed in 10 offices around the world, including Canada, the United States, Chengdu, and Hangzhou, and our users are spread in more than 20 countries and regions in North America, Asia, the Middle East, etc.

Back to the beginning, I would like to introduce again what PixelBloom is. PixelBloom is an AI productivity toolbox and an AI workstation. The AI workstation is not only independently built by us but also operates in the mode of AI Venture Studio. That is to say, many products are independently developed by us internally, such as the five products mentioned earlier.

At the same time, we will also invest in and incubate very interesting external AI products, but these products must focus on the field of AI productivity tools, just like Dingdang Haoji (Readlecture.cn). So what can we provide for these AI entrepreneurs? Briefly, there are two points:

The first point is that we currently have more than 8 million monthly traffic, which can be directly empowered to all partners. At the same time, our external channel traffic, such as Kimi, Doubao, Lenovo, Honor, etc., can also be directly distributed to our partners.

The second point is that I can serve as the part-time CEO of these enterprises for 3 to 6 months. During this period, I will tell them which functions should be developed, which operational methods should be adopted, how the pricing strategy should be determined, and a complete set of business solutions. Through these supports, we can help them achieve results quickly.

In the future, we hope to create an AI all-in-one that improves work and learning efficiency. Empowering these AI startup enterprises is not only our own effort, but also has a lot of strong resource support behind it. For example, Zhipu is our shareholder, and 36Kr is also our shareholder, which can help us expand our voice and publicity. I also have a 4A advertising company called Weimeng Media, which previously provided user growth services for almost all major manufacturers. These resources can be opened to the AI startup enterprises we invest in.

Finally, I am very grateful to 36Kr for organizing this collision of business ideas. I think what we need to be more grateful for is this era. In the past ten years, we have enjoyed the dividends of the mobile Internet and become beneficiaries. And the next ten years will be the decade of AI. I hope to ride this wave with everyone and set sail together.
