On October 16, Zhujidiandongli officially released its first multi-modal bipedal robot TRON 1. The standard version has an early bird price starting from 69,800 yuan and is now available for sale simultaneously in China and overseas.

In terms of appearance, TRON 1 adopts a "three-in-one" modular foot-end design, equipped with three types of foot-ends: double-point feet, bipedal feet, and double-wheel feet. Among them, the configuration of the double-point feet is the simplest with easy control; the bipedal feet maintain the common humanoid lower limb configuration, with both standing and walking capabilities; the advantage of the double-wheel feet lies in the mature development of wheel technology. By driving the wheels, it can complete movements such as forward, backward, and turning, making it more efficient in all-terrain scenarios.

Due to different user usage scenarios, such as differences in various scientific research goals, the three foot-ends of TRON 1 can be quickly installed and uninstalled and freely combined.

According to the morphological changes after the foot-end disassembly and assembly, TRON 1 will perform adaptive recognition and automatically switch the operation control mode. It is equipped with a high-performance motion control algorithm, truly achieving out-of-the-box usability.

TRON 1 Achieves Out-of-the-Box Usability

The hardware structure of humanoid robots is complex, and the development of key components such as reducers, servo systems, and joints plays an important role. In terms of components, the high-performance joints of TRON 1 are independently developed by "Zhujidiandongli" and combined with a hardware structure specifically designed for legged robots, which can effectively improve its motion performance and stability. For the demanding needs of algorithm verification, TRON 1 provides an open underlying hardware interface for scientific research users. By calling the key control functions of each joint, a better hardware upper limit can be obtained.

For the educational scenario, TRON 1 supports the entire process development using Python and provides one-click deployment of Sim2Real (from simulation to reality). By reducing the Sim2Real gap through the URDF reduction algorithm, it makes it easier for users to verify the algorithm on the real machine, reduces the development threshold of reinforcement learning algorithms, and improves the efficiency of robot training and algorithm verification. At the same time, TRON 1 also supports mainstream simulation platforms such as Isaac, Mujoco, and Gazebo to help developers quickly implement the design and verification of algorithms.

In addition to the main unit, TRON 1 is also equipped with a variety of expansion accessories, such as radars, robotic arms, cameras, and dual-optical gimbals, to meet different scientific research needs including industry applications.

Excellent Sim2Real Performance with Small Gap

According to a previous report by 36Kr, "Zhujidiandongli" was founded in 2022. In July of this year, it completed a strategic Series A financing of several hundred million yuan, led by Alibaba (Hangzhou Haoyue), China Merchants Capital, and SAIC Group's Shangqi Capital, with the original shareholders Fengrui Capital, Oasis Capital, and MingShi Capital following the investment. This is also the first humanoid robot company that Alibaba has invested in.
