From "platform pricing" to "user bidding", "My Bid" reconstructs the transaction logic of mobility services.
In 2025, the scale of China's domestic tourism market reached 6.3 trillion yuan, the online ride-hailing sector approached the trillion-yuan level, and with 320 million elderly travelers added, the overall travel-related market space hit the 10-trillion-yuan level, covering hundreds of millions of price-sensitive users. Amid this industry transformation, "My Bid" adopts an AI-driven C2B reverse pricing model to redefine the transaction logic of OTAs and online ride-hailing services. The project is now launching its angel round of financing, and is open to holding M&A cooperation at the same time.
Target partners include: VC/investment institutions, self-media traffic platforms (traffic monetization), mobile phone manufacturers (embedded voice interaction for booking flights, hotels, tourism, scenic tickets and ride-hailing), travel platforms (complementary OTA business expansion, large model enterprises (real-time data that delivers exactly as requested), hotel groups (improving business closed loop), automobile manufacturers (online ride-hailing, autonomous driving and after-market), transportation and tourism groups (filling business gaps), shopping malls, etc.
Core Pain Points: Imbalance Between Supply and Demand and Mismatch of Pricing Power
Traditional OTA and online ride-hailing platforms have long followed the B2C logic of "platform sets the price, users pay". On the accommodation side, the average occupancy rate of 340,000 hotels across China is only about 50%, nearly half of the guest rooms lose their value at night every year, and the vacant rooms cannot generate revenue just like "expired fruits". Airlines are also facing the dilemma of persistently high flight vacancy rates. At the same time, OTA giants rely on their traffic advantages to charge hotels a commission of 12% to 18% or even higher, and continue to squeeze the profits of merchants with the "lowest price across the network" clause.
On the consumer side, "big data-enabled price discrimination against existing customers" and opaque pricing have become common pain points, making it difficult for users to get a truly cost-effective booking experience.
Structural contradictions also exist in the online ride-hailing sector: high commission charges squeeze drivers' income, the order dispatching mechanism is unfair, and neither drivers nor passengers have pricing power and choice. A large amount of capacity is idle during off-peak hours, while users have no choice over price fluctuations, vehicle conditions and driver services. Under the wave of AI technology, as a "high-frequency, rigid-demand, decision-heavy" life scenario, the travel industry is witnessing a fundamental restructuring of its underlying logic — evolving from "people looking for information" to "AI executing tasks for people", and shifting from "merchants and platforms setting prices" to "consumers and drivers setting prices".
Solution: AI-driven C2B Reverse Booking Platform
"My Bid" is an innovative domestic C2B reverse-bid travel trading platform that integrates two scenarios: flights, hotels, tourist tickets and instant online ride-hailing services. Different from traditional platforms, the project adopts the mechanism of "users make bids, merchants grab orders", which endows consumers with differentiated choices, and systematically solves the industry pain points such as empty seats, vacant rooms, no-load driving, high commission and lack of pricing power.
The platform has a complete independent technology system, including: AI front-end voice interaction transaction system (meeting users' demand for time saving), C2B reverse bidding engine (meeting users' demand for cost saving), merchant management backend, dynamic matching algorithm and compliant order settlement SaaS system.
The core is to endow consumers and drivers with pricing power. Users input their travel demands via voice or manually, and the AI algorithm combines dynamic data such as preferential prices of airlines, real-time occupancy rate of hotels and prices of surrounding competing products to give a reasonable bidding suggestion. After the user confirms the payment, the order is distributed to eligible merchants, who decide whether to "grab the order" according to their inventory — forming a "travel version of reverse auction".
Key Technologies Include:
AI Intelligent Pricing Engine: "My Bid" has its own real-time supply and demand data, dynamically generates personalized suggested prices, recommends reasonable prices to users, and provides a decision-making basis for merchants to obtain incremental revenue.
Transaction Price "Black Box Protection" Mechanism: The transaction price is only visible to both the buyer and the seller. When airlines and hotels digest idle resources at discounted prices, they do not need to worry about impacting the original price system of their existing channels, so that brand premium can be maintained, and the dilemma of "reducing prices damaging the brand, not reducing prices leading to idle resources" is properly resolved.
In the online ride-hailing scenario, the model is further expanded into a two-way selection mechanism where the platform charges no commission, "passengers choose drivers, vehicle models, arrival time and freight rates, and drivers set their own freight rates", which converts idle capacity in off-peak hours into dynamic preferential supply, and completely reconstructs the interest relationship between passengers, drivers and the platform.
Business Model and Market Space
It adopts an asset-light commission model, with a commission rate far lower than that of traditional OTAs (12%-18%) and the regulatory ceiling for online ride-hailing (27%). Through the dual guarantee of "the best price across the network + zero hidden fees", the price trust system for both supply and demand sides is reshaped.
Target Users Cover Three Groups of People
C2B model: For price-sensitive leisure tourists to meet their demand for low-cost travel; Traditional booking: Suitable for enterprise business travelers on public expense, which facilitates invoicing and reimbursement processes; AI voice interaction: On the one hand, it serves the middle-aged and elderly groups as well as trendsetters with low operation threshold and natural interaction; on the other hand, it empowers homestay owners, small and medium-sized hotel owners and online ride-hailing drivers, helping them acquire new customers and increase revenue with low or even zero commission.
The model has obvious scarcity. It is the only integrated platform in the market that combines C2B reverse-bid OTA and zero-commission online ride-hailing, breaking the traditional pricing monopoly mechanism. The closed loop of the two scenarios organically integrates long-distance travel and local ride-hailing, and its profit model is better than the traditional model. It will surely extend to value-added fields such as autonomous driving R&D and operation, and automotive after-market in the future, with promising profit space.
The Platform Has Been Verified
After its official launch in 2023, the project did not spend any promotion costs, and naturally accumulated 300,000 registered users. What is more noteworthy is that this achievement was made when the zero-commission online ride-hailing service had not yet been launched, and the platform still generated annual revenue of millions of yuan. This result strongly demonstrates the real attraction of the C2B reverse booking mechanism to price-sensitive users and its sustainable monetization capability from the market side.
Team Background and Current Progress
The project team deeply integrates tourism business experience and AI technology vision, and all core members have more than 20 years of working experience in the Internet industry. The founder entered the tourism air ticket agency and charter field in 1989, and has focused on the industry for 37 years. He is the first person to launch the free air ticket booking and delivery service in China, creating the precedent of free air ticket delivery service in the country. He was the introducer for Ctrip to enter the air ticket business in its early days and sign the air ticket agency agreement with China Southern Airlines Shanghai Branch, and also the provider of early Internet air ticket data sources for Qunar and Kuxun. As a pioneer in China's online travel industry, his profound industry accumulation, key network resources and forward-looking vision continuously inject unique competitiveness into the project.
At the current stage, the platform has initially completed the R&D and launch of the AI pricing engine, supports query and booking of flights of domestic and foreign airlines, connects to the real-time inventory of millions of hotels, achieves direct connection with multiple regional hotel groups and homestay brands, and supports online payment via Alipay and WeChat. In the online ride-hailing sector, the platform has obtained the national online ride-hailing operation qualification, and has the compliant operation capability for the instant travel scenario.
This round of financing will be mainly invested in four directions: The funds from this round will be used for technology R&D and team expansion, AI algorithm and hardware upgrade, product function optimization and city expansion, and market promotion to drive rapid user growth. The coordinated advancement of the four aspects will promote "My Bid" to achieve the strategic leap from a disrupter of travel prices to a travel efficiency and price infrastructure.
