Lawyers no longer need to manually enter case records: Realogic builds an AI personal workbench.
RichLeg AI Legal Assistant turns "document recognition, deadline tracking, case categorization" into an AI-native workflow, which has been launched on five platforms including desktop, mobile and web, and is currently in the market verification stage.
For lawyers, their daily time is often not occupied by court hearings and client meetings, but consumed by a large number of "miscellaneous tasks": evidence sent via WeChat, scattered folders in the computer, hundreds of pages of dossiers in the cloud drive, it takes ages to find a single document; the burden of manually tracking the evidence submission period, appeal period and court date means missing any of them may lead to a practice accident; when taking over a case halfway, sorting out dozens of documents from scratch will cost most of the day.
This is exactly the problem that RichLeg AI Legal Assistant aims to solve. Developed by Xi'an Miwai Network Technology Co., Ltd., it is positioned as "lawyers' AI personal workspace": instead of adding an AI dialog box as a plug-in on traditional case handling software, it designs AI from the underlying logic as the executor of the case workflow. The team's slogan is also very straightforward: "You focus on litigation, AI takes care of everything else."
What lawyers lack is not tools, but the set of "no manual operation" workflow
The domestic legal service market is considerable in size. According to the data released by the Ministry of Justice at the press conference of the State Council Information Office in September 2025, there are 830,000 lawyers in China at present; while the figure was 650,000 at the end of 2022, representing a nearly 30% increase in three years. In contrast to the continuous growth of practitioners, the growth rate of the legal service market is relatively gentle, with low-price competition and pressure on per capita revenue. Lawyers have an increasingly strong demand for "returning time to professional judgment".
Over the past decade, lawyers have never been short of tools. Law firm case management software is responsible for case filing and archiving, but almost every step requires manual entry, and the purchasers are often the management of law firms rather than the lawyers handling the cases themselves. Single-point AI legal tools can write a document or answer a legal provision, but they are disconnected from the real case progress and material library. The result is "management relies on manual information entry, and AI is just an added decorative function" — materials are still scattered, deadlines still need to be tracked manually, and past case handling experience is difficult to precipitate and reuse.
RichLeg AI Legal Assistant precisely targets this gap, serving independent practicing lawyers and small law firm teams. It puts all parties' information, evidence materials, legal documents, case handling procedures and deadline to-dos into the same case-centered data system; AI is no longer a single-point tool for answering isolated questions, but an intelligent executor that can understand business logic in combination with the full context of the case, assist in case handling decisions, and continuously follow up on execution tasks.
Just "throw" the documents in, the system automatically recognizes, categorizes and sends reminders
In terms of specific interaction, the core logic of the product is [document-driven]. Lawyers do not need to create files and enter information manually in advance: after scanning or directly dragging summons, judgments and evidence materials into the system, AI will automatically identify the document type, extract key dates such as court hearing, evidence submission and appeal, determine which case it belongs to, and then schedule the corresponding deadline reminder. The legal deadline is automatically calculated according to the rules, and will be postponed in case of legal holidays; if the issuance date of the judgment is changed, the relevant deadline will be recalculated accordingly.
To ensure "no misclassification", the system establishes a set of [case fingerprint] for each case, which consists of the parties, case number, cause of action, subject matter and key dates, and automatically distributes dozens of scattered documents to the corresponding cases. The team deliberately retains an artificial check: automatic archiving is carried out only when the evidence is conclusive, and documents that cannot be confirmed will never be misclassified, leaving one-click confirmation for lawyers — as the team puts it, "for lawyers, error-free performance is more important than speed".
Around the case itself, the product is built with a three-level cause of action selector of the Supreme People's Court standard cause of action database, intelligent diversion of litigation and non-litigation matters, one-time entry of party information for reuse in multiple cases, as well as practical calculators for daily use by lawyers, including litigation fee, attorney fee, interest, LPR and other tools. To-dos and schedules are the same record on mobile phones and computers, with reminders accurate to the minute, and iOS can also synchronize bidirectionally with the system calendar.
AI conversation is another main line. The web version work.richlegai.com launched in 2026 first integrates AI conversation and document drafting into the browser, and then iOS, Android and desktop versions successively place the conversation on the home screen: after clarifying the case details and attaching materials, the first drafts of six types of documents including complaint, statement of defense, application for property preservation, evidence list, application for compulsory enforcement and lawyer's letter will be generated; when inquiring about legal provisions, AI quotes the original text of the regulation database word by word and marks the source for easy verification item by item; when conversing in the case, you can also directly check the to-dos, deadlines and payment collection of the case.
In terms of product form, Windows / macOS desktop, iOS, Android, Hongmeng native version and web version are now available, with the same account accessing the same set of data. In terms of data security, the team's external commitment is [no template storage, no learning of your writing style]: case materials are stored in encrypted form and can be exported at any time; when calling the large model, it only processes the content for the current request, and no model service provider is authorized to use user content for model training.
From ten years of legal tool accumulation to two lines for individual lawyers and law firms
RichLeg AI Legal Assistant is not built from scratch. The team's mobile application "Legal Assistant" has accumulated nearly ten years of lawyer users in the app market, which was originally a free legal practice calculator. In April 2026, the mobile terminal completed the 3.0 version reconstruction and was fully connected with the desktop terminal, and the AI-native case workflow capability was truly formed; in October 2026, the Hongmeng native version was launched on Huawei AppGallery, completing the five-terminal layout.
At present, the project is in the stage of moving from product verification to market verification. On the one hand, the team expands the user base through multiple channels, and on the other hand, focuses on polishing the product around high-frequency and rigid demand scenarios in daily case handling. User feedback directly changed the product priority — the team originally took the desktop terminal as the first entry, but later raised the priority of the mobile terminal to the highest according to lawyers' usage habits, placed AI conversation on the mobile home screen, and cut redundant functions to turn to a practical and efficient core experience.
In terms of commercialization path, Legal Assistant is available for free registration and use at the current stage, and charges individual lawyers on a subscription basis; the tool-type product under the same brand "RichLeg AI Element-based Conversion" can convert the written traditional complaints and statements of defense into element-based form documents required by courts with one click, and charges by package of times, which has realized proven paid conversion. Next, the team is developing "RichLeg AI Law Firm Manager" for law firms, which extends the individual lawyer's case data to the law firm level for case intake, conflict of interest search and collaboration.
The team's perception is that the most taboo in developing legal AI is to indulge in self-entertainment divorced from real case handling scenarios — only by stepping into the daily workflow of lawyers and going through enough complete case cycles, can the product avoid becoming a castle in the air. And this is precisely the real threshold of [AI-native]: it is not just connecting a large model interface, but enabling AI to fully grasp the full context of cases, deadlines and lawyers' experience.
