Dual-period operation, Chenxi Tavern builds a replicable asset-light local pub model
I. Industry Status: The Homogenization Challenge in the Offline Pub Track
The domestic casual pub track has developed rapidly in recent years, but most stores face prominent pain points: they only operate during the single nighttime period, leading to low venue utilization; they rely on online traffic placement and full-time sales staff to acquire customers, resulting in persistently high marketing costs; the model is heavily invested in decoration and manpower, leading to unstable store profitability and great difficulties in cross-city replication.
Meanwhile, a large number of pub formats lack a stable private domain user base, with highly fluctuating customer flow. Once marketing activities are suspended, business declines rapidly, showing weak risk resistance. Against this background, "Chenxi Tavern" has created a dual-time composite format to explore an offline physical model with low marketing dependence and stable cash flow.
II. Project Model: Noodle Restaurant by Day, Pub by Night to Revitalize Store Space
"Chenxi Tavern" is positioned as an asset-light local life casual pub, whose core innovation lies in the time-sharing reuse of venues: the same store space focuses on affordable noodle restaurants during the day to receive lunch customers; it switches to a casual pub at night to serve social gatherings of young groups.
One set of venue and one set of basic back kitchen support two revenue scenarios, which greatly dilute fixed costs such as rent and decoration.
In terms of customer acquisition, it abandons the traditional heavy investment idea and adopts the partner shareholder fission mechanism: it attracts shareholder users who recognize the project. The partner shareholders are both consumers and spontaneous communicators, realizing drainage by relying on circle word-of-mouth, greatly reducing paid advertising investment, streamlining the manpower structure, and lowering long-term operating pressure.
III. Implementation Plan and Profit Logic
The first store of the project will be preferentially launched in Hangzhou to polish the single-store model. After verifying the revenue, cost and repurchase data, it will be replicated and expanded to other cities.
The stores are mainly small-sized to control the initial investment. The project has outstanding cash flow advantages and a short capital return cycle. Store revenue is divided into two major sectors: noodle product revenue, and beverage and snack revenue. The customer group covers two types of people: light lunch diners and nighttime social visitors, making the revenue structure more diversified and reducing the risk of operating in a single time period.
This round plans to launch angel round financing, and the funds will be used for site selection and decoration of the first store, license processing, and pre-operation reserve, to polish the standardized operation SOP and lay a foundation for subsequent chain expansion.
IV. Team and Project Progress
The project leader has many years of experience in offline entertainment and physical store operation, is familiar with personnel management, customer group operation and cost control of offline casual formats, and has mature practical experience in the circle fission operation model.
At present, the project's business model, revenue sharing mechanism and store budget plan have been sorted out, and the team is connecting with angel investors, looking for partners who recognize the offline physical consumption track.
V. Summary
Chenxi Tavern does not follow the heavy marketing route of internet-famous pubs. Taking time-sharing space reuse + private domain fission of partner shareholders as the core starting point, it focuses on low fixed cost and standardized replicability. Relying on the stable single-store model, the team hopes to build a differentiated local leisure consumer brand and explore a new operation mode for the pub track.
