Two Rounds of Financing Secured in Three Months, Aiming to Commercialize Remote Sensing Data as "Intelligence", DeepRise Space Raises Over 100 Million Yuan in Angel+ Round | 36Kr Exclusive
36Kr learned that Ruiqi Deep Space Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Ruiqi Deep Space") has recently completed an angel+ round of financing exceeding 100 million yuan. This round of financing is led by Soochow Innovation, with participation from institutions including Su Venture Capital, Torch Electronics, Qianrong Capital, Jinyu Maowu and other partners, the raised funds will be used for satellite R&D and launch, ground system construction and early commercial delivery.
Ruiqi Deep Space was founded in March 2026, it is an intelligent remote sensing constellation company rooted in space-based capabilities and driven by AI, with business covering intelligent remote sensing data services, satellite R&D and constellation operation.
This is the second round of financing completed by Ruiqi Deep Space within three months. Adding the previous 220 million yuan angel round of financing, the total accumulated financing amount is nearly 350 million yuan. At the moment when capital in the primary commercial aerospace market is concentrated in leading players, such a financing rhythm is a positive signal for early-stage projects.
Ruiqi Deep Space was co-initiated and founded by Du Yiguang, the founder, chairman and CEO, together with Jitian Xingzhou and other partners. Three academicians Ren Luquan, Lin Jun and Duan Guangren serve as chief scientists, providing technical support in fields including bionic intelligent remote sensing, geospatial information system, and intelligent control of satellites and constellations respectively.
Verified technologies and predictable commercial progress are core factors for capital's increased investment. Du Yiguang shared a set of data: Ruiqi Deep Space has accumulated more than 60 million yuan of pending orders in three months, and has reached cooperation intent on intelligent intelligence products with leading global shipping enterprises, top mining groups, large financial companies and other clients. It is estimated that the total pending orders will reach 200 million yuan by the end of the year, and the operating revenue will hit 30 million yuan.
The launch schedule is also advancing. The first batch of optical AI test satellites are about to leave the factory, launch resources have been locked, and the plan is to send them into orbit before the end of the year. If completed as scheduled, Ruiqi Deep Space will become one of the few constellation companies that have test satellites put into orbit in the year of establishment.
Optical AI test satellite under development
After the first batch of satellites are put into orbit, Ruiqi Deep Space will be able to provide external services for larger-scale intelligent intelligence products. According to the introduction, the full link of its intelligent intelligence products has been connected in the internal environment, and methodological verification and prototype scheme design have been completed around scenarios including port asset monitoring, stockpile management, mining area asset inventory, full-domain monitoring of new energy assets, and global copper supply chain price intelligence.
The competition logic of the commercial remote sensing track is changing. The number of satellites and imaging accuracy are only admission tickets. What really determines whether customers will pay for services in the long run is the complete service capability covering the whole process from data collection to analysis and decision-making. The development idea of Ruiqi Deep Space is to rely on underlying technologies and constellation networking for support, and extend product forms from image services to space intelligent intelligence data services.
Talking about the concept of intelligence, Du Yiguang defines it as a combined deliverable of "multi-source data + intelligent analysis + interpretation and judgment + action suggestions". Around this definition, he put forward the first principle of space intelligence products: the product must correspond to at least one of the goals of "increasing revenue, reducing costs, and avoiding risks", so that intelligence can be integrated into customers' real business decision-making processes; the product must be fast enough, as outdated intelligence is no more than historical archives; the product must be built on the fusion of multi-source heterogeneous data.
Supporting this set of concepts is a three-layer AI architecture of "single satellite - inter-satellite - data". The single satellite layer relies on the non-orbit-along one-time transit curve imaging technology to greatly improve observation efficiency and reduce observation costs; the inter-satellite layer realizes intelligent collaborative judgment through inter-satellite laser links and on-orbit AI; the data layer relies on the self-developed full-space-time large image model to open up the intelligence production link from data collection to conclusion output, and guarantees traceable delivery results.
"After this round of financing, our core tasks can be summarized into three points - continuously launch satellites, get through inter-satellite links, and deliver intelligence products in a standardized manner." In the next stage, Ruiqi Deep Space will verify whether the "commercial aerospace + AI" development narrative can truly stand the test through the continuous implementation of commercial orders and the actual service capability after satellites are put into orbit.
Investor Insights
Soochow Innovation: Commercial aerospace is evolving from the stage of "manufacturing satellites" to the stage of "utilizing satellites". Ruiqi Deep Space is one of the few domestic players that have independent single-satellite R&D capability, constellation networking capability and data intelligence monetization capability at the same time. What we value is the scarce competitive barrier formed by the three-layer closed loop of "Hardware - Collaboration - Intelligence" of the company, as well as the strong execution capability and rapid delivery capability demonstrated by the founding team.
Su Venture Capital: Suzhou is making every effort to build a commercial aerospace industry highland with international competitiveness. As a benchmark enterprise cultivated locally in Suzhou, we recognize its differentiated intelligent intelligence development route and the distinctive mixed team of the company, and hope that the enterprise can lead the evolution direction of the new generation of space infrastructure in terms of business model and technical architecture.
Torch Electronics: As an industrial player deeply rooted in the electronic components sector, we continue to focus on key technical nodes in the commercial aerospace industry chain. Ruiqi Deep Space's breakthroughs in core links including non-orbit-along technology application, lightweight SAR, and free-form surface optical payloads show us the huge potential for collaborative innovation between domestic high-end components and whole commercial satellites.
Qianrong Capital: Commercial aerospace is moving from the "1.0 era of satellite manufacturing" to the "2.0 era of integrated sensing, computing and communication". Ruiqi Deep Space has opened up the whole industrial chain covering satellite R&D - constellation networking - intelligence services, and upgraded its business from "selling images" to "selling judgments" with AI. Combined with the academician-level team and the policy dividend of the "15th Five-Year Plan", it is a high-quality scarce target in the private remote sensing track.
Jinyu Maowu: The integration of commercial aerospace and AI is a national-level track with long growth trajectory and huge market potential. Ruiqi Deep Space has proved its scarce capability of not only manufacturing satellites, but also selling data and delivering intelligence products within half a year. Jinyu Maowu will continue to support the company to deliver intelligence-level products.
