Wisdom of Love and Marriage: Try to Use AI to Assist Self-awareness and Intimate Relationship Growth
Traditional dating and marriage services mainly focus on solving the problem of meeting potential partners, but establishing a connection does not guarantee that the relationship will develop smoothly. Issues such as unclear mate selection needs, immature communication methods, and difficulty in expressing true thoughts when facing conflicts will also affect the establishment and maintenance of relationships.
AI dating and relationship growth platform "Youli Dating" tries to extend its services from information matching to self-awareness and relationship growth, hoping to help users sort out their needs, understand differences, and explore actionable improvement methods with the help of AI conversations, structured questions and relationship scenario simulations.
The project has been launched for more than five months. So far, it has built an official website, launched some AI dating-related functions, and explored the combination of online tools and offline services through activities such as online reading clubs and offline singles meetups. At this stage, the project is still in the stage of continuous iteration and business model verification.
I. From Information Matching to Relationship Cognition: AI Tries to Solve Specific Problems in Dating and Marriage
The founding of "Youli Dating" originated from my own dating and marriage experience. As someone who went through the older-age single stage and later entered marriage, I feel that there is a type of easily overlooked problem in the dating and marriage process: sometimes users do not lack opportunities to meet members of the opposite sex, but lack a clear understanding of their own needs, mate selection criteria and communication methods.
Even if they meet the right person, they may miss the opportunity for relationship development due to insufficient expression of needs, misplaced expectations for mate selection or different conflict handling methods.
Based on this observation, I launched the "Youli Dating" project, hoping to apply AI tools to dating and relationship growth scenarios. The founder of the project leads product and technology iteration, and cooperates with a number of professional tutors.
At present, the platform mainly focuses on four types of functions:
AI Dating Consultation and Self-Exploration: Help users sort out relationship confusion through conversations and form actionable action suggestions.
Personal Portrait and Relationship Cognition: Help users organize their values, interaction preferences and mate selection needs, avoiding defining users with a single label.
Love Map: Guide users to further understand their expectations for intimate relationships through structured questions.
Relationship Simulation: Help users think about possible differences between the two parties in communication, boundaries and living habits through specific scenarios.
In terms of technical implementation, the project iterates independently based on the existing Web technical architecture, trying to verify the service process and user needs at a relatively controllable development cost.
At this stage, the relevant functions are mainly used for self-exploration and relationship assistance, and do not replace professional psychotherapy or legal consultation. For problems beyond the capacity of the platform, it is necessary to guide users to seek corresponding professional support.
II. Parallel Online Tools and Offline Activities: Exploring the Combination of Products and Services
In addition to online products, "Youli Dating" is also trying to create real connections through offline activities.
At present, the project has cooperated with a number of professional tutors, and organized offline singles meetups in many cities across the country. Online activities such as morning reading clubs are carried out, and community forms such as online movie viewing parties are explored.
The project hopes to form a complementary model: online AI tools help users sort out their own needs, offline activities provide real communication opportunities, and then gradually connect relationship review and growth services in the follow-up.
In terms of user verification, the project has a group of real test users and collected verifiable feedback. In the next stage, the team will continue to observe the actual usage of users in the core functions, focusing on verifying three issues:
1. Can AI tools help users understand their own needs more clearly?
2. Can users identify communication problems with the help of relevant functions and try to improve their actual interaction methods?
3. Are users willing to continue using relevant services and pay for services with practical value?
4. The specific user scale, retention and effect data still need to be subject to continuous test results.
In terms of business model, the project currently adopts a phased promotion strategy.
Basic AI conversation and some self-exploration functions are open for free to lower the threshold for user experience. Offline activities have generated actual revenue, but the specific amount is not disclosed for the time being.
In the follow-up, the project plans to further explore value-added directions such as paid membership and real-name authenticated membership services. Member rights, pricing and continuous payment willingness still need to be verified through small-scale tests.
In addition, the website is also exploring the daily necessities sales business, which is a supplementary attempt at present and not the core of the relationship growth service.
At present, the project funds are invested by the founder's own funds, and public financing has not been launched for the time being. How to convert user feedback into stable product usage habits and further form a sustainable paid service is the key issue that the project needs to verify next.
III. Focusing on the Older-Age Single Group: Promoting Product Iteration Through Small-Scale Tests
At this stage, "Youli Dating" takes the older-age single group as the priority verification population, hoping to polish the product around the actual needs of this group first, and then gradually expand the service objects and usage scenarios according to feedback.
The project will be promoted in phases in the follow-up:
The next three months: Focus on optimizing core functions and usage processes, and carry out small-scale user tests.
The next six months: Adjust product and service design according to test results, and continue to verify the commercialization path.
The next twelve months: Gradually form a relatively stable product iteration and operation mechanism.
From a long-term perspective, the project hopes to explore a dating service method different from traditional information matching: not only helping users meet potential partners, but also helping users understand their own needs before entering a relationship, learn communication in the process of relationship development, and get low-threshold sorting and support when encountering problems.
However, indicators such as user retention, service effect, payment conversion and customer acquisition cost still need to be verified through subsequent operations. For "Youli Dating", the focus at this stage is not to quickly add functions or expand the service scope, but to find the core scenarios that users are really willing to use continuously, and then gradually build a commercial closed loop of products and services.
