Falling-from-height accidents account for more than half of all relevant workplace accidents all year round, and manual rust removal can only process 6 to 8 square meters per hour: DeGaojie uses magnetic adsorption wall-climbing robots to push forward the "replacing human workers with machines" initiative in high-risk anti-corrosion operations.
Beijing Degaojie Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Degaojie") has recently launched a new round of financing, planning to use the raised funds to expand the production capacity of its wall-climbing robot product line and construction service capabilities. This cleaning equipment enterprise, developed from the Degaojie brand founded in 1994 and based on associated entities including Beijing Degaojie Cleaning Equipment Co., Ltd. as its manufacturing foundation, is translating nearly 30 years of accumulated high-pressure water jet technology into a special operation robot product line covering scenarios of ships, storage tanks, pipelines and wind power.
High-altitude Anti-corrosion Operation: Triple Pressures of Safety, Environmental Protection and Efficiency
The derusting and anti-corrosion work of large metal structures such as ships, storage tanks and pipelines has long relied on manual sandblasting and hand-held high-pressure water gun operations. Workers have to complete high-altitude construction on scaffolds, which features high labor intensity and high fall risk. Public reports show that high-altitude fall accidents account for more than 54% of construction accidents in China all year round; the dry sandblasting process generates a large amount of dust, which not only pollutes the working environment but also brings environmental compliance pressure. In terms of efficiency, the manual sandblasting derusting speed is about 6 to 8 square meters per hour, which is difficult to meet the growing demand for dock repair and new shipbuilding.
The demand side continues to expand. Data from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development shows that by the beginning of 2025, the global commercial fleet size is about 112,500 vessels, of which nearly 35% are old ships with an age of more than 15 years, which will enter the periodic special inspection and dock repair cycle in the next few years; according to public industry data, the scale of China's ship derusting market has exceeded 80 billion yuan in 2025 and maintained double-digit growth. At the same time, work safety regulations and green ship repair policies put forward higher requirements for the operation modes of high-risk industries such as chemical industry and shipbuilding. "Replacing humans with machines" is changing from an optional choice to an industry trend. Statistics from research institution QYResearch show that the global magnetic adsorption wall-climbing robot market size was about 784 million US dollars in 2025, and it is expected to approach 1.06 billion US dollars by 2032, with a compound annual growth rate of about 4.5%.
Magnetic Adsorption Wall-Climbing Robot: Reconstruct Derusting Process with Complete Sets of Equipment
In response to the above pain points, Degaojie takes the wall-climbing robot as the carrier and integrates three major systems: ultra-high pressure water jet derusting, vacuum adsorption slag removal and wall walking. Take the representative product CR4D ship derusting robot as an example, this equipment adopts the combination of magnetic adsorption and vacuum adsorption to attach to the hull surface. Its four-wheel drive chassis can carry a weight of 150 to 200 kg to move flexibly on vertical walls and curved surfaces, with obstacle-surmounting ability for convex and concave surfaces and weld seams; the equipped ultra-high pressure water jet device has a working pressure of 2800 bar, with a derusting efficiency of about 70 square meters per hour. The waste water and rust slag generated during operation are recovered and treated by the vacuum system. After stripping the coating, the steel plate sandblasted surface can reach the Sa2.5 quality level, with no dust emission in the whole process, almost no water splash, and can avoid the problem of rust return.
For different working conditions, Degaojie has formed a serialized robot product matrix: in addition to CR4D, it also includes magnetic adsorption marine organism cleaning robot for solving marine organism fouling at the ship bottom, CR4-STP600 for inner wall grinding and derusting of storage tanks, sandblasting recovery robot, shot blasting recovery robot, open sandblasting robot, CR3GD "Magician" spot hitting robot and explosion-proof storage tank maintenance robot, etc. Its applications cover ship repair and manufacturing, petrochemical storage tanks, drilling platforms, large-diameter pipelines, wind power towers, and even scenarios such as radioactive storage tank coating stripping and decontamination in the nuclear industry. Key supporting equipment such as ultra-high pressure water pump stations and vacuum extraction and discharge systems are independently developed and manufactured by Degaojie. The robot can be equipped with different operation modules according to task requirements to realize function switching of derusting, cleaning, sandblasting, painting, flaw detection, grinding and other operations. This wall-climbing robot technology has won the Excellent Award of the National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and the Second Prize of Science and Technology Progress of China National Petroleum Corporation.
From Equipment Sales to Construction Services: Industrialization Path after Financing
Degaojie's business model adopts the dual-track parallel of equipment sales and engineering services: it not only delivers robot equipment to shipyards, petrochemical enterprises and anti-corrosion construction units, but also provides automated construction services of "wall-climbing robot + professional construction team". The latter can cover traditionally non-outsourcible operation links such as derusting inside storage tanks. Its target users are concentrated in the fields of ship repair and manufacturing, petrochemical industry, ocean engineering and wind power operation and maintenance. The company has long served Fortune 500 clients including state-owned enterprises, military industry, foreign-funded enterprises and listed companies.
In terms of the team, Degaojie has a R&D team of more than 20 people, which is divided into process group, technology group and quality inspection group, and has passed the ISO9001 quality system certification. Since its establishment in 1994, the brand has been deeply engaged in the field of complete sets of high-pressure water jet cleaning equipment, and has been engaged in the development of automatic cleaning products for more than 17 years; Beijing Degaojie Cleaning Equipment Co., Ltd. within the system is a high-tech enterprise and a "Specialized, Refined, Differential and Innovative" small and medium-sized enterprise, with an operating income of about 39 million yuan in 2025, which provides manufacturing capacity and customer base for the robot business. As the recipient of this round of financing, Beijing Degaojie Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. was established in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area in November 2025, with a registered capital of 4 million yuan, and its business scope covers manufacturing and sales of industrial robots, sales of intelligent robots, manufacturing of dust removal technical equipment, metal surface treatment and other related businesses.
According to the project plan, the funds raised in this round will be used for iterative upgrading and capacity expansion of the series of robots, expansion of the construction service network, and R&D investment for new scenarios such as wind power and nuclear power. With the accelerated implementation of "replacing manpower with mechanization, reducing personnel with automation" in the industrial anti-corrosion field, Degaojie is expected to further expand its share in the special operation robot market relying on its integrated capability of equipment and process.
