Huijian has launched its seed round financing, planning to raise RMB 1.5 million by transferring 10% of its equity.
The second-hand 3C digital recycling track is in a period of rapid expansion. Alongside this, there are long-standing problems of opaque information in the recycling link and the malicious price-cutting tactic known as "price deduction after receipt". Aiming at the pain points of sellers who lack public price references when selling devices and find it difficult to judge whether the discount for defects is reasonable, Hui Jian, a neutral third-party data platform, takes users' real transaction data as the core to build a publicly accessible reference system for recycling prices and device conditions, trying to fill the long-missing standard gap in the industry.
The Pain Point of Information Asymmetry in the Second-Hand Recycling Track
China's second-hand commodity trading market has entered a stage of large-scale growth, among which 3C digital products are the segmented category with the highest degree of standardization and the largest transaction scale. According to public industry data, the total transaction volume of second-hand commodities in China exceeded 1.69 trillion yuan in 2025, the transaction volume of second-hand 3C digital products exceeded 400 billion yuan, with an annual compound growth rate of about 23.2%; the mobile phone recycling track alone reached a market size of 150 billion yuan, with an annual recycling volume of about 324 million units, showing sufficient room for growth.
Behind the rapid growth, information asymmetry in the recycling link has always been the core problem restricting industry trust. Public data from the Black Cat Complaint Platform shows that there are more than 14,000 cumulative complaints related to mobile phone recycling, 90% of which point to the "price deduction after receipt" routine of "high price estimate online, low price acquisition after receiving the goods". Users lose the initiative to negotiate prices after sending out their devices, and recyclers often cut prices by 10% to 30% based on vague quality inspection reasons. Ordinary users lack public reference standards and cannot judge whether the discount range corresponding to defects is reasonable.
At the same time, the quality inspection standards and discount rules of different recycling platforms in the industry are independent and not publicly disclosed, and the industry lacks a unified price reference system. The high trust cost directly leads to the penetration rate of formal recycling channels in China being only 4.4%, far lower than the global average level of 28.4%. A large number of stock devices cannot enter the formal recycling system, which not only causes waste of resources but also restricts the standardized development of the industry. Both C-end sellers and small and medium-sized recycling practitioners have clear demand for an open and neutral recycling price reference system.
The Transaction Data Verification Model of Neutral Third Parties
Hui Jian is positioned as a neutral third-party second-hand recycling transaction data verification platform. Its core logic is not to participate in recycling transactions, but only to provide aggregation, structured processing and query services for real transaction data, forming a complementary rather than competitive relationship with leading self-operated recycling platforms.
The platform takes the real transaction data uploaded by C-end users as the core, aggregates the real transaction prices and official inspection defect records when users sell devices to major recycling platforms, and builds a structured database of "device model - defect - recycling price" through OCR structured identification and data verification. Users can query the real transaction price range of the same device, including the highest price, the lowest price and the median, through dimensions such as device model, memory configuration, appearance grade and recycling platform. They can also view the defect description and transaction time of the corresponding transaction, so as to provide price reference for selling devices.
In addition to the basic transaction price query, the platform has built a defect discount map system, which structurally displays the industry average discount range corresponding to different types of defects such as screen scratches, reduced battery health, and motherboard maintenance, helping users intuitively judge whether the recycler's price reduction is reasonable. Based on real transaction data, the platform also regularly counts the average price reduction range, the incidence of "price deduction after receipt" and the user satisfaction ranking of each recycling platform, forming a reference for avoiding risks in the industry and forcing the standardization of recycling industry services.
To ensure the authenticity of data, Hui Jian has established a multi-dimensional verification mechanism: users who upload data need to provide transaction screenshots and official inspection report vouchers. The platform compares key information through OCR identification, and data without vouchers will not be included in the statistics. At the same time, a user credit system is built: the higher the matching degree between uploaded data and verification results, the higher the credit level, and the higher the weight of corresponding data. Combined with AI abnormal price screening and manual spot check, false and invalid data are filtered. All users' personal information and sensitive device information are desensitized, and the public data only display aggregated results to protect user privacy and data compliance.
In terms of product iteration path, Hui Jian starts from the second-hand mobile phone category with the highest degree of standardization, and first completes the construction of the basic price reference database. Later, it will gradually launch the full life cycle file function of a single device based on the device serial number, associate the previous recycling inspection, maintenance and transaction records of the device, and extend to the second-hand buyer scenario. In the medium and long term, it will expand to multiple categories such as tablets, laptops, luxury goods and home appliances, covering more standardized second-hand transaction categories.
The Growth Path and Project Progress of Light Asset Startup
Hui Jian's target users cover multiple roles such as second-hand 3C device sellers, second-hand commodity buyers, small and medium-sized recyclers and testing institutions, corresponding to a broad market space. The project adheres to the principle of "user value first, then commercial value", and does not charge C-end users in the early stage to ensure the neutrality of the platform, and realizes commercial implementation in stages.
In the early stage, the project's commercialization path is dominated by traffic monetization, including providing precise user diversion for compliant recyclers and charging a commission of 2% to 3% of the transaction value for each successful recycling order. It cooperates with third-party professional testing institutions to provide users with device inspection services and earn distribution commissions. After the traffic reaches a certain scale, it accesses precise digital and second-hand related advertisements to realize traffic monetization without affecting the core query experience. In the medium term, the project will expand B-end data services, provide standardized price data and defect discount data API interfaces for small and medium-sized recyclers, second-hand merchants and insurance institutions, and charge by call volume. At the same time, it will release recycling price indexes and industry whitepapers for segmented categories, and provide customized research services and recycler credit rating certification services for enterprise customers. In the long run, the project will extend to enterprise-level traceability systems and supply chain financial services to build a complete infrastructure for the second-hand recycling industry.
At present, the Hui Jian team has completed the complete product planning and commercial scheme design, and is in the cold start verification stage. The team lays out second-hand recycling risk-avoiding content on content platforms, and at the same time launches the AI agent query tool to undertake the long-tail search traffic, so as to verify the authenticity of market demand while accumulating the first batch of seed users and real transaction data. All core members of the team have more than five years of experience in the Internet industry, covering multiple modules such as product R&D, technical development and content operation, and have the experience of operating second-hand e-commerce and tool products. At the same time, it is equipped with operation experts from leading former recycling platforms as industry consultants, as well as legal consultants focusing on Internet data compliance, to ensure the compliant advancement of the project.
According to the plan, the project will complete the launch of the V1.0 version and the accumulation of the first batch of valid data within six months, verify the market feedback of the core query functions within twelve months. The medium-term goal is to become a universally recognized price reference standard in the second-hand recycling industry, and make every second-hand recycling transaction traceable with real and public transaction data.
