On-Site | The Most "Hardcore" Booth at the Digital Trade Expo: A Single Data Flow Chip Powers Five Major AI Scenarios

The booth of Ruixin Highlight D35 chip at the 5th Digital Trade Expo is highly eye-catching, and a launch conference will be held on the 25th.

September 23, Hangzhou International Expo Center.

On the first day of the 5th Digital Trade Expo, the crowd was larger than expected.

The exhibition hall is so large that people may easily get lost, but there is one booth that has never been short of visitors —

150 sqm custom booth T021-2, Theme Pavilion (Hall 2).

I spent around an hour walking around inside, and my biggest takeaway is:

This is not the kind of booth that only puts up PPTs for photo ops. It fully displays the complete journey of a chip, from technology to products to real application scenarios, laid out right in front of you.

Today we will take you on a virtual tour of this booth, to see what exactly it has that draws such a huge crowd.

The first sight at the entrance: this chip is the absolute protagonist of the entire booth

The design of the entire booth features a restrained tech aesthetic.

The main color scheme is deep blue and silver gray, with no gaudy flashing lights or deafening loudspeakers.

There is a separate cylindrical display stand, with a tiny chip placed under a clear glass cover.

Highlight D35 · The world's first RISC-V dataflow physical AI chip

To be honest, even though this chip is really not large, placed in the booth, it truly feels like the "treasure of the pavilion".

Many visitors' first action upon entering is to lean over to take a look at this chip. Some take photos, some observe it closely, and others ask the staff: "Is this the dataflow chip?"

The staff smiled and said that they had been asked the exact same question dozens of times in just the morning.

It is rare to see a single chip receive the same level of attention as a star product at a chip exhibition.

A tour of the five major scenarios: from video to robotics, this single chip handles everything

If the chip in the center is the "soul", then the five scenario display areas surrounding it are the "body" — letting you see exactly what this chip is capable of in practice.

1️⃣ Video AI Zone: The most bustling display area

The Video AI Zone is the most popular spot in the entire booth.

Multiple high-definition video streams are played in real time on the screen, running various AI algorithms including face detection, behavior recognition, and people flow statistics.

What is interesting is that the small screen next to it also displays power consumption data.

A senior professional working in the security industry stared at the data for a long time, then turned to his companions and said: "The power consumption is really low. The solution we are using now has much higher power consumption than this."

I stood by and listened for a while, and found that most of the visitors here are engaged in the video, security, and transportation industries, who are exactly the target customer group of the Highlight D35.

2️⃣ Edge Computing Zone: The most "practical" corner

Several square boxes of different sizes are placed in the Edge Computing Zone, including computing power boxes and rack-type all-in-one machines.

A project manager working on park intelligentization told me that the solutions they are using now either have too high power consumption or insufficient computing power, and they have been looking for a mid-range product that balances both. "If this power consumption and performance meet our requirements, we can have further discussions after we go back."

Although this zone does not have the largest number of visitors, everyone who comes here is highly targeted — they all come with real demands, and can reach direct cooperation intentions after a few simple conversations.

3️⃣ Embodied Intelligence Zone: The most "eye-catching" spot

It goes without saying that robots are definitely the most eye-catching presence in the entire exhibition.

The Qiyuan robot stands there, and every passerby will stop to take a photo.

But different from ordinary robot displays, the focus here is not on how flexible the robot itself is, but the computing power chip inside the robot.

The standing sign reads: "Qiyuan Robot × Highlight D35".

Many people look at the robot, then look at the standing sign, then look at the chip in the center of the booth.

It seems that they suddenly understand what the Highlight D35 dataflow chip is actually used for.

This is the power of physical display: talking about "high energy efficiency ratio" a hundred times is not as convincing as placing a real robot right there.

4️⃣ Smart Park Zone: The most "implementable" solution

The Smart Park Zone showcases a complete set of comprehensive solutions.

Video surveillance, access control, energy consumption management... all the systems are supported by the underlying computing power of the Highlight D35.

Visitors in this zone are mainly enterprise clients and government inspection delegations, who are more concerned about practical questions such as "how much is the complete set of solutions", "can it be deployed directly", and "how is the after-sales service arranged".

The staff introduced that the smart park is one of the scenarios where the Highlight D35 has the deepest implementation at present, and many related projects are already in operation.

Several interesting observations

While wandering around the booth for an hour, I not only looked at the exhibits, but also observed the visitors.

There are several details that are worth mentioning.

First, the visitors have a very high level of technical expertise.

The conversations I heard are not basic questions like "what is this", but very professional questions such as "what is the video memory bandwidth", "what models does it support", and "is the supporting toolchain available". This shows that all visitors come with real demands and technical backgrounds, not just here for fun.

Second, there are a large number of local enterprises from Zhejiang.

I accidentally overheard several groups of visitors coming from Hangzhou, Ningbo, and Wenzhou, including local technology companies, park operators, and government inspection delegations. As the Digital Trade Expo is held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang's local industrial resources do get the first-mover advantage.

Third, the "Qiyuan Effect" is very obvious.

Many people learned about Ruixin and the Highlight D35 from the Qiyuan launch event, and came to the Digital Trade Expo specially to see the physical product. A young man working on robotics told me that he traveled all the way from Shanghai just to see this dataflow chip in person.

The Shanghai launch event held three days ago has already driven traffic to the Hangzhou Digital Trade Expo. This linkage effect is better than I expected.

Final notes

After visiting the entire booth, my biggest feeling is:

This company is serious about product implementation.

Many chip company booths give people the impression of "showing off strength", piling up parameters, patents, and all kinds of cool concepts. But for Ruixin's booth, you can feel its logic is:

I have a chip → I have developed products based on it → I have implemented it in real scenarios → You can see the actual effect for yourself.

The entire chain from technology to product, and from product to scenario, is fully connected.

It is not just a promise, there are real tangible products.

And this is only the first day of the Digital Trade Expo.

The mass production launch event of the Highlight D35 on September 25 will be the highlight of the whole event.

At that time, the mass production performance will be announced, on-site signing ceremonies will be held, and the product roadmap will be disclosed... It is predictable that the booth will be even more crowded then.

A tiny RISC-V dataflow chip,

A 150-square-meter booth,

An upcoming mass production launch event.

The story of Suzhou Ruixin at the Digital Trade Expo has just begun.

See you on the 25th.
