Large enterprises are reluctant to take such orders while small factories are unable to deliver qualified products: Shengxinjie adopts the integrated model of "self-cast blanks + precision machining" to tap into the small and medium-batch niche market of high-temperature alloys, and has launched a 15 million-yuan angel round of financing.
Small-batch superalloy precision casting firm Shengxinjie launches angel round financing
36Kr learned that Shengxinjie, a high-end precision casting enterprise, has recently launched a 15 million RMB angel round of financing, planning to transfer 10% of its equity, corresponding to a post-money valuation of 150 million RMB. The funds from this round will be used for the procurement of core casting equipment, plant renovation and EIA processing, sample production for the first batch of customers and process finalization. The company is located in Binhu District, Wuxi, focusing on superalloy investment precision casting, providing integrated delivery of "self-cast blanks + precision machining" for three types of customers: micro turbojet/UAV power systems, high-end orthopedic implants, and automotive turbines. At present, there are 3 intended customers that can directly enter the order sampling stage after the production line is put into operation.
Small and medium-batch demand squeezed by import dependence and multi-link external collaboration
In fields such as micro turbojet hot-end castings and high-end orthopedic implant castings, qualified domestic supply has been insufficient for a long time, and end manufacturers are highly dependent on imports, generally facing the problems of high procurement costs and unguaranteed delivery periods. At the same time, the domestic precision casting industry presents obvious stratification: listed leading enterprises backed by heavy asset production capacity mainly take large-batch orders, with long scheduling periods and high minimum order quantities, so small and medium-batch customized demands are often not within their service scope; while a large number of small and medium-sized private precision casting plants can only deliver blanks, with weak capabilities in back-end precision machining and CMM inspection, and the yield and consistency are difficult to meet the requirements of aviation and medical customers.
This directly leads to the situation that downstream complete machine manufacturers need to outsource work back and forth between precision casting plants, machining plants and testing institutions, so one part has to be connected with multiple suppliers, the delivery period is extended, and the quality control cost remains high. The Shengxinjie team has accumulated many years of experience in the field of precision machining and aerospace parts supply chain, and has observed this small and medium-batch gap that "large enterprises are unwilling to take, and small enterprises cannot do well". The existing similar local enterprise Wuxi Kash had an output value of about 198 million RMB in 2025, which also mainly deals with turbojet and medical parts, indirectly verifying the real capacity of this segmented market.
Take mature machining as the foundation, and supplement the front-end casting process
Different from most casting projects that start from scratch, Shengxinjie already has an operating precision machining business as its foundation. In 2025, this business achieved revenue of 2.12 million RMB and net profit of 630,000 RMB, with a net profit margin of about 29.6%. It currently owns 14 precision machining equipment, including Zeiss coordinate measuring machines, and has the precision inspection capability for key parts, continuously providing supporting machining of precision parts such as rotor impellers, stator guides, femoral condyles and femoral heads for turbojet complete machine manufacturers and orthopedic device manufacturers.
The core move of the new plant is to add the superalloy casting link at the front end of the existing precision machining capability, forming an integrated delivery mode where "blank casting - precision machining - CMM inspection" is completed in the same plant area. The company deliberately adopts an asset-light strategy, only building its own core processes, and outsourcing heat treatment, hot isostatic pressing and some inspection links to control the scale of fixed asset investment. Compared with small plants that only deliver blanks, Shengxinjie has additional back-end machining and quality control; compared with large leading enterprises with delayed scheduling, it undertakes small and medium-batch, rapid sampling orders with shorter delivery periods and more flexible services.
15 million RMB to cover the delivery of the first batch of samples
Shengxinjie plans to raise 15 million RMB in this round, and the funds are roughly invested in three directions: core casting equipment procurement accounts for about 60%, plant leasing, EIA and production line renovation account for about 20%, and the rest is used for sample production and process finalization for the first batch of 3 customers as well as working capital. According to the plan, the EIA and plant implementation will be completed in the first 3 months of the project, core equipment will be in place from the 4th to the 8th month, furnace test and process finalization will be completed from the 8th to the 12th month, and the delivery of the first batch of samples for 3 intended customers will be promoted from the 13th to the 18th month. The funds of this round cover the production line commissioning and the verification of the first batch of samples. The team plans to launch the next round of financing after the production line is fully operational and bulk orders are confirmed.
It should be noted that Shengxinjie is still in the preparation stage of the casting production line and has not yet formed bulk casting orders. There are still uncertainties in subsequent promotion such as the process verification cycle and market expansion speed, and the funds of this round are precisely to provide support for the above links. The company stated that its goal is to become a "small and specialized" local supplier in the field of small and medium-batch flexible delivery against the background of the domestic substitution of superalloy precision casting and the surging demand of the low-altitude economy.
