Top 15 Rising Stars of Chinese AI Going Global: How Native AI Companies Make Money Overseas
In 2026, China's AI overseas expansion has entered the validation phase.
TideAI has selected 15 representative emerging startups, whose ARR ranges from 1 million USD to 400 million USD. The revenue of over 10 of them has been publicly verified.
None of them makes profits from advertising, and all rely on subscriptions, pay-as-you-go billing or enterprise licensing.
ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) is the core indicator of AI enterprises today, referring to the predictable annual recurring revenue generated by continuous customer subscriptions. It answers a fundamental question: are users willing to pay for your product on a continuous basis? A higher ARR means the product has found a real viable payment scenario.
Let's first look at a set of data.
Manus's ARR has reached 400 million USD; Genspark's Super Agent has recorded an ARR of 250 million USD about one year after launch; Meshy hits 60 million USD in ARR with a gross profit margin of 85%; Fish Audio, with a team of only 22 people, has achieved an ARR of 21 million USD. All these figures were achieved within less than three years.
The screening criteria for these 15 companies are: AI-native, founding teams are of Chinese origin or Chinese ethnicity, main target market is overseas, unlisted, and not incubated by tech giants. They are not affiliates of large tech groups, but AI product companies designed for the global market from scratch.

Chinese entrepreneurs have several structural advantages in this cycle.
First, they have extremely solid technical foundations. Backgrounds from Tsinghua University, MIT and Harvard are very common, and working experience at top tech companies is a standard configuration. Hu Yuanming independently developed Taiji, an open-source framework with nearly 30,000 GitHub stars; the DeepWisdom team has published papers at top conferences including ICLR and KDD; the paper from Hyper3D won the Best Paper Award at SIGGRAPH 2025.
Second, they have extremely high cost efficiency. The Flowith team has fewer than 10 employees and its ARR exceeds 1 million USD; the VMEG team has less than 20 employees and generates millions of dollars in global revenue; Fish Audio with 22 employees drives 21 million USD in ARR. The marginal cost structure of AI-native startups determines that small teams can generate large-scale revenue.
Third, they have inherent genes for overseas expansion. Jing Kun and Zhu Kaihua founded Genspark in the United States; Jin Feng built Felo in Tokyo; the CEO of Creatify used to work on video advertising at Snap and Meta. These teams are not "expanding overseas from China", but "born to target the global market". Their product design, pricing strategies and customer acquisition channels all follow overseas operational logic.
More importantly, they have clear cognition on business models. The last round of overseas expansion relied on free customer acquisition and advertising monetization, selling users' attention. This round all adopt B-end or C-end paid models, selling software capabilities. Three forms including subscription, pay-as-you-go billing and enterprise licensing cover the full spectrum from individual users to large enterprise clients. The cost of making a 3D model is about 1 USD, and it is sold for 5 USD; the marginal cost of cloning a voice is close to zero, and it is charged for hundreds of dollars.
The technical threshold has turned into pricing power.
But the window of opportunity will not last long.
In the AI Agent track, Genspark targets Europe and the United States, Felo occupies Japan, South Korea and Taiwan; in the 3D generation field, Meshy, VAST and Hyper3D are competing in the same market... Competition is escalating, and the time for the validation phase is limited.
The following are 15 representative emerging AI companies selected by TideAI (TideAI is building an AI overseas community and will soon host an AI overseas forum, welcome for consultation) ——
01 Manus (Butterfly Effect)
Company Business:
It builds a general-purpose AI Agent. After a user sets a goal, it can break down tasks, call tools and deliver results autonomously in the cloud, and became a global hit after its launch in March 2025.
Founding Team:
Xiao Hong founded Butterfly Effect in 2022, and first accumulated users with the AI browser plugin Monica; Ji Yichao, co-founder and chief scientist, is a post-90s serial entrepreneur. The Mammoth browser he developed in high school earned more than 300,000 USD by selling copies, and he later built the knowledge search engine Magi; Zhang Tao is in charge of product work.
Highlights:
Its revenue model is subscription-based, targeting knowledge workers and enterprises. Its ARR exceeded 100 million USD in December 2025, and rose to 400 million USD in June 2026.
It barely spends money on customer acquisition, relying on natural traffic brought by its popularity and word-of-mouth communication.
The capital verification process is also the most dramatic: at the end of December 2025, Meta announced the acquisition of the company for 2 billion to 3 billion USD; in April 2026, the Office of the Working Mechanism for Foreign Investment Security Review of the National Development and Reform Commission issued a decision to prohibit the investment, which is the first publicly blocked foreign acquisition in the AI field since the implementation of the *Foreign Investment Security Review Measures*; the founding team then repurchased shares, Tencent became the largest shareholder, and the company officially resumed independent operation on September 1.
Being offered a bid by a tech giant, blocked by regulatory authorities, and then bought back by the founding team, its profitability has been verified by real money. The subscription plus natural traffic model is light-weight with high gross profit.
02 Genspark
Company Business:
It builds an AI Agent workspace. It launched its AI search product in the United States in June 2024, fully shifted to Agent business and launched Super Agent in April 2025. After a user sets a goal, it schedules multiple models to deliver results directly.
Founding Team:
Jing Kun, CEO, is former Vice President of Baidu, former CEO of Xiaodu Technology, and founding team member of Microsoft Bing Search; Zhu Kaihua, CTO, used to serve as CTO of Xiaodu; Sang Wen, COO, is a PhD graduate of MIT and serial entrepreneur. The three founded Main Function Technology in Silicon Valley at the end of 2023.
Highlights:
Its revenue model is subscription plus enterprise version. The 60 million USD seed round was led by BlueRun Ventures. 9 days after the launch of Super Agent, its ARR exceeded 10 million USD, reached 36 million USD in 45 days, and exceeded 100 million USD in about 9 months — Cursor took 21 months to achieve this milestone; by mid-2026, its ARR reached 250 million USD; its Series B financing expanded all the way to 645 million USD, with a post-money valuation of 2.6 billion USD in June.
Search is the entry point closest to cash flow, and several veteran search engine practitioners have minimized the monetization path.
03 Meshy
Company Business:
It builds a text-to-3D and image-to-3D platform that converts text and images into 3D models applicable for games and film & television production, known as the Canva in the 3D field.
Founding Team:
Hu Yuanming, from Yao Class of Tsinghua University and PhD of MIT, independently developed the open-source parallel computing framework Taiji (nearly 30,000 GitHub stars). He returned to China to start a business in 2021, and focused on 3D generation after two business transformations; Kuang Ye, CTO, holds a bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University and a master's degree from Harvard University, and is a former Google engineer.
Highlights:
Its revenue model is subscription plus pay-as-you-go. The cost of generating a model is about 1 USD, and its enterprise-side services cover game manufacturers and 3D printing customers.
It records 60 million USD in ARR with a gross profit margin of 85%, has more than 12 million registered users, and the total number of generated models exceeds 100 million; in July 2026, it completed a nearly 400 million USD Series B round with a post-money valuation of over 100 billion RMB, which is the largest single round of financing in the AI 3D field so far.
A gross profit margin of 85% is rare in the AI application layer. The two-wheel structure of C-end subscription plus B-end licensing directly turns the productization capability of technical founders into cash flow.
04 VAST (Tripo)
Company Business:
It builds AI 3D generation infrastructure. The Tripo platform provides image-to-3D and text-to-3D services, currently with 6.5 million creators, nearly 100 million 3D models and 90,000 developers.
Founding Team:
Song Yachen, born in 1997, has a background from SenseTime, is co-founder and the No. 001 employee of MiniMax, and left to found VAST independently in 2023.
Highlights:
Its revenue model is API plus developer subscription, selling tools to developers who pay according to the number of API calls. Its ARR is about 12 million USD, and more than 80% of its users are from overseas.
Its financing pace is very aggressive: 50 million USD Series A in March 2026, led by Alibaba and Hengxu Capital; another about 200 million USD financing in June; over 1 billion RMB Series A3 round in July, with industrial investors including Geely Capital and Giant Network entering the investment list — total financing is about 3 billion RMB, and it grew into a unicorn in less than three years.
90,000 developers form the basic ecosystem of its business. Its infrastructure positioning captures the growth increment of the 3D content industry, does not compete with single-point tools, and its next goal is to develop a world model.
05 PixVerse
Company Business:
It develops AI video generation products. Its product PixVerse focuses on overseas markets, with more than 100 million users on App and web platforms.
Founding Team:
Wang Changhu, former head of visual technology at ByteDance.
Highlights:
Its revenue model is subscription-based, charging by service packages for overseas users. Its ARR exceeded 40 million USD by the end of 2025; it completed a 300 million USD Series C round with a valuation of 1 billion USD in March 2026, and raised a total of 2.5 billion RMB in 6 months.
Video generation is one of the most capital-intensive AI tracks, and it is one of the few companies that have achieved substantial overseas subscription revenue.
Wang Changhu managed 20,000 GPUs at ByteDance, and the team knows how to iterate models at a fraction of the cost of peers — the foundation of visual technology determines generation quality, which further determines subscription retention rate.
06 DeepWisdom (Atoms)
Company Business:
It builds an AI multi-agent full-stack product development platform. After a user puts forward a demand, multiple AI agents collaborate to complete the product. Its predecessor is the open-source project MetaGPT.
Founding Team:
Alex Wu, graduated from the Department of Computer Science of Xiamen University, has working experience at Tencent and Huawei. He started his business in 2019, and his research results have been published at top conferences including ICLR and KDD. The team members are from Google, Anthropic and ByteDance.
Highlights:
Its revenue model is subscription plus enterprise version.
Its predecessor product MGX was launched in February 2025, its ARR exceeded 1 million USD in the first month, with more than 500,000 registered users, and it had the strongest traffic performance among vibe coding products in the same period; it was renamed Atoms in January 2026.
Series A plus A+ round totaled 31 million USD, led by Cathay Capital, followed by Ant Group and BV Baidu Ventures, which is the largest financing in China's Coding Agent track.
MetaGPT has accumulated more than 150,000 GitHub stars through open source, and developer trust is directly converted into paid revenue. It is the sample with the fastest implementation of multi-agent business narrative.
07 YouWare
Company Business:
It builds an AI creation platform and code Agent. After users describe their demands, usable websites, applications and games can be generated directly.
Founding Team:
Ming Chaoping, born in 1995, former head of Jianying's mobile terminal, later took charge of overseas products Noisee and Kimi browser plugin at Moonshot AI, and founded YouWare in 2024.
Highlights:
Its revenue model is subscription-based. Launched in March 2025, its visits surged from 1,000 to over 1 million within 48 hours, covering more than 180 countries around the world.
HSG, GL Ventures, IDG Capital and ZhenFund all invested in it. It has completed three rounds of financing, with a post-money valuation of hundreds of millions of dollars in the last round.
The C-end product methodology honed from Jianying is applied to the rigid demand for creation, compressing complex development into a few simple prompts — what it aims to build is YouTube and Instagram in the programming era.
08 Creatify
Company Business:
It develops AI marketing video generation products, which can convert product links into video ads with one click.
Founding Team:
Yinan Na, CEO, used to work on video advertising at Snap and Meta; Ledell Wu and Xin Zhou are from Meta's AI research laboratory FAIR.
Highlights:
Its revenue model is subscription-based SaaS, where marketing teams pay monthly and are charged by production volume levels.
Its customer Zumper uses it to produce more than 300 videos every month and saves about 20,000 USD (according to the company's case). 18 months after its founding, its ARR exceeded 9 million USD. The 15.5 million USD Series A round was jointly led by Kindred Ventures and WndrCo founded by Katzenberg, the founder of DreamWorks. Its customer list includes Alibaba.com, Comcast and Binance. It targets advertising budgets rather than software budgets, so customers have stronger willingness to pay and renew subscriptions.
09 Felo
Company Business:
It develops AI search products, and Felo Search's main target markets are Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.
Founding Team:
Jin Feng founded Sparticle in Tokyo in 2019. The team has about 60 employees, with R&D teams distributed in China and Japan.
Highlights:
Its revenue model is subscription plus enterprise version. In July 2025, it raised about 1.5 billion JPY (about 10 million USD) in Series A round, with investors from Peak XV and Mirae Asset.
Since its launch in 2024, it has more than 1.2 million global users and over 300,000 daily searches. Its enterprise version has entered large Japanese telecom operators and media enterprises. It avoids the main competitive battlefields of Europe and the United States, achieves thorough localization, supports multi-language, adapts to local search habits and uses local content sources, and gains first-mover advantages in a market with low competition intensity.
10 Flowith
Company Business:
It builds an OS for knowledge workers, a canvas-style AI creation tool, advocating AI for Deep Work.
Founding Team:
Ni Zhengmin (born in 1996), with a background as product manager at YC China; the other two co-founders Wu Yichen (born in 1998) and Guai Zi (
