East Buy cut total compensation expenditure by 400 million yuan, and the "de-top-streaming" strategy reshapes the compensation and revenue-sharing structure

Recently, East Buy released its first full fiscal year financial report after Dong Yuhui's departure: its net profit surged 86 times, and its revenue increased by nearly 30% year-on-year. The financial report shows that the total number of employees of East Buy rose from 1,401 in the previous fiscal year to 1,812, but the total compensation dropped from 1.2 billion yuan to 800 million yuan, with a 400 million yuan reduction. This means that East Buy has completely reshaped its compensation and revenue-sharing structure through the "de-top-streaming" strategy: the platform no longer operates for "super top anchors", and converts the huge revenue share that originally flowed to top influencers into the company's net profit. This transformation is also reflected in personnel adjustments. In April this year, four core anchors, Mingming, Tianquan, Zhongcan and Linlin, successively announced their departures within several days. East Buy is replacing a small number of elite "top anchors" with a large number of standardized "mid-tier anchor matrix". (China News Finance)

12306 Responds to Same Pricing for Unreserved Tickets and Second-Class Seats: The Full Name of Unreserved Tickets is "No-Fixed-Seat Ticket"

On August 24, the topic of why unreserved tickets are priced the same as second-class seats hit the trending list. Many netizens pointed out that unreserved tickets share the same fare as second-class tickets but do not come with a fixed seat, casting doubt on the rationality of such pricing. In response, the customer service of China Railway 12306 told Chinanews Finance and Economy that the full name of the unreserved ticket is "no-fixed-seat ticket", which falls into the same seat category and grade as the second-class seat, so their prices are identical, and it is currently not feasible to lower the fare of unreserved tickets separately. Indicator lights are installed on high-speed train seats: green and yellow indicate that the seat is temporarily unoccupied or not yet sold, passengers holding unreserved tickets can take a temporary rest there, but they need to vacate the seat for the passenger who holds the corresponding seat ticket after the latter gets on the train.

Regarding the suggestion of differentiated fare pricing, the customer service stated that the suggestion has been recorded and will be submitted for feedback. In addition, the customer service noted that unreserved tickets are not available for all second-class seats on high-speed railways. Only on some routes and during peak operation periods, to meet the travel demands of passengers, a small number of unreserved tickets will be sold in appropriate amounts, and the quantity is usually not large. Trump Slams Canada for "Taking Advantage of the U.S.", Raising Tariffs on Multiple Types of Goods to 50% Starting Next Year

U.S. President Trump posted that Canada has been taking advantage of the United States for many years. They impose outrageously high tariffs on American farmers and agricultural products, making it difficult for these great American patriots to make a living, and have long caused a trade deficit of 60 billion U.S. dollars between the two countries. This situation is unsustainable and will not continue! Starting from January 1, 2027, tariffs on all automobiles, trucks, no matter large or small, as well as auto parts and steel will be raised to 50%. If you produce in the United States, you do not need to pay tariffs at all. Canada will no longer be treated as a U.S. state! Whether in terms of trade or other aspects, Canada is one of the most difficult countries in the world to deal with. They take it for granted that they deserve special treatment, but the truth is that we do not need Canada, they need us! 95% of Canada's business is conducted with the United States, while our situation with Canada is completely the opposite!
