Two weeks after WAIC wrapped up, how many of the WAIC reports you bookmarked have you gone back to read? (Most likely none, huh?) For many casual visitors, the only lingering talking points are vague impressions like "embodied intelligence is all the rage" and "I somehow felt much more level-headed after the event".
Per my usual practice of covering on-site industry events this year, I was supposed to write a feature piece that breaks down this massive conference thoroughly. All media practitioners are familiar with this kind of work — the challenge is that the scale of WAIC this year is so huge that the content is completely dazzling. But after the first draft was finished, we suddenly realized that most readers would just "save it to favorites and never read it" when they get a 20,000-word post-event review of the conference. Even our editorial team barely wanted to re-read it a second time.
So the problem definitely does not lie in the content, but in the format of long articles. Imagine a reader who needs to make an investment judgment, refer a candidate, or choose a company to join, what he or she lacks most is a cognitive base that allows them to get all the facts straight within ten minutes. Especially in today's information-exploding tech industry, what people need most is a structured presentation of information.
That's why we fed the full article into Kimi K3, which saw explosive popularity during this WAIC, and built a website based on the output:

At the bottom of the first screen, we use a scrolling data strip + data matrix to show the overall scale of this year's WAIC. There is also a cumulative visit counter in the upper right corner (it serves no practical purpose, we just simply like watching the numbers jump).

In the middle of the website, there is a knowledge graph laid out with a force-directed diagram. The 90 nodes are color-coded by 7 industry track themes, and every single node can be clicked, dragged and zoomed in or out.

For example, if you click the node of "Zhipu AI", a drawer panel will pop up on the right, with the title FACTS, where the facts are listed in numbered order: F·01, Absence — the only one among the "Six Little Tigers" that did not show up at this WAIC, it was in a quiet period and had no exhibition booth; F·02, GLM-5.2 was officially released; scroll down to F·03, which was also the most noticeable event in those days: while absent from the conference, its Hong Kong stock price dropped by a total of 42.47% in the two trading days on July 17 and 20.
Some industry insiders categorized this event as "The Absentees' Plunge" — the company that did not attend the event became the name that was repeatedly mentioned off the venue.
● The figure 42.47% has been verified three times from start to finish. For data that is precise to two decimal places, a single wrong digit would be a serious error. We were already a little annoyed when we checked it for the third time, but we still went through the verification process.

In the embodied intelligence field, last year robots were still putting on performances on exhibition booths, but this year the narrative has shifted to "real implementation". From the exhibition booth to the pharmacy showroom, the "scenario battle" is split into three parts, and the continuous operation duration of each company's products is clearly marked on the screen.

In addition, after WAIC ended, "Career Bonus" participated in an unofficial off-site embodied intelligence exhibition viewing seminar. Regarding the authenticity of the robot demand side, we condensed the 2-hour meeting conclusions and presented them here.

A few days before the website was officially launched, a headhunter friend of ours needed to refer a candidate to her client, and the candidate worked at an embodied intelligence company. She clicked on that company's node in the beta version of the graph, checked which entities it was connected to, and the numbered facts listed in the drawer panel, then cross-checked the publicized implementation progress of that company in the "Scenario Battle" chapter.
"After checking the latest updates of this year on the website before referring the candidate, I feel much more confident about the recommendation," she gave us the feedback (actually we think this praise is a little over our due).
Perhaps the most suitable way to use this website is just like this: you can browse it with the casual mindset of "visiting the exhibition online at home on the weekend", or come to check relevant information when you need it (it is also accessible on mobile phones, the graph has been adapted for touch operation, so you can open it on the subway, but we still recommend using a computer or tablet for a better experience).
