First Stop! The roadshow selection list for the Beijing Division is unveiled | The 2026 annual journey of Xiamen Torch Entrepreneurship Camp & University Sci-Tech Achievement Transformation Entrepreneurship Camp is powerfully launched.

To further foster new drivers for high-quality development and accelerate the industrialization of outstanding scientific research achievements, the 2026 Xiamen Torch Startup Camp & University Sci-Tech Achievement Commercialization Startup Camp (hereinafter referred to as "Xiamen Torch Startup Camp") is launched. It is hosted by Xiamen High-Tech Venture Capital Angel Co., Ltd., a state-owned venture capital institution under Xiamen Torch High-Tech Industrial Development Zone. The camp targets early and mid-stage hard tech startups across the country and sci-tech achievement commercialization projects from national universities and research institutes, providing public welfare entrepreneurship coaching and full-chain resource accompanying support services for participating projects.

With 6 years of accumulation across 6 previous sessions, the camp has received applications from over 800 enterprises, admitted 151 projects for in-camp training, witnessed more than 30 projects obtaining market-oriented investment with total financing exceeding 500 million yuan, among which Xiamen High-Tech Venture Capital has directly invested in 13 projects with a total investment of 80 million yuan. This year, Xiamen Torch Startup Camp has been further upgraded, focusing on seven industry sectors: ocean and hydrogen energy, advanced manufacturing, new energy, new materials, biomedicine and healthcare, intelligent sensing and semiconductors, electronic information, and is now open for recruitment nationwide.

Since the official launch of recruitment in May, more than 230 hard tech projects across the country have actively applied. After preliminary project screening and online communication, 19 projects have finally secured finalist spots in the Beijing division.

On August 6, the first offline roadshow stop of 2026 Xiamen Torch Startup Camp — the roadshow selection of the Beijing division will be held in Xinyu Hall on the 3rd floor of Beijing Yongsheng Garden Ruirui Hotel. The shortlisted projects cover fields including semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, new materials, and new energy. At the event, a panel of senior investors and industry experts will form the judging committee, and score the projects on the spot based on their live roadshow performance.

III. Roadshow Rules

① Review Form: This review will be carried out in the form of roadshow plus Q&A, adopting the "10+5 mode", namely 10 minutes for the project roadshow by the participant and 5 minutes for judge's Q&A, 15 minutes in total.

※ All entrepreneurs are requested to strictly control the speech time during the roadshow

② Scoring Dimensions: The project review will be scored from dimensions including project team, technical level, market prospect, project maturity, and financial planning, with a total score of 100 points.

IV. Promotion Mechanism

Outstanding projects will be selected through this review to advance and be shortlisted for the 2026 Xiamen Torch Startup Camp & University Sci-Tech Achievement Commercialization Startup Camp. The final shortlist will be uniformly announced after the review of all three roadshow stops is completed.

Startup Camp x Practical Courses & Mentors

Admitted startup projects can not only participate in various financing docking activities and continuous investment and financing coaching, but also take part in three sessions of intensive entrepreneurship training and acceleration courses lasting 6-7 days in total. The courses cover four modules including investment and financing, legal affairs, finance, and enterprise management and strategy, jointly taught by a practical expert mentor group composed of leaders of listed companies, partners of well-known domestic investment institutions, and partners of professional financial service institutions specializing in finance, taxation and legal affairs.
