Monian Light & Shadow has launched commercial validation, seeking millions of yuan in seed round financing to tap into the silver economy.

Changsha Mochenglan Technology Co., Ltd. has officially launched commercial validation for its elderly home care service platform "Mo Years Light & Shadow". Adopting a three-stage rocket-style business model, the project focuses on the dual needs of elderly home safety and companionship documentation, aiming to enter the silver economy market in Changsha and even across the country through low-cost customer acquisition and a strict trust mechanism. The project is currently in the seed round financing stage.

I. Market Pain Points and Objectives: Children Cannot Resolve the "Living Alone Safety" Anxiety

Against the backdrop of accelerating population aging, the silver economy is becoming a blue ocean. According to public data, the population aged 60 and above in China has exceeded 300 million in 2025, with as high as 92% of the elderly choosing to age at home. Meanwhile, a prominent supply-demand contradiction has emerged: a growing number of children hope to purchase in-home care or documentation services for their parents, but statistics show that about 62% of children dare not let strangers visit their parents alone for companionship, and 78% of children worry that the elderly face the risk of being pressured into purchases or improper handling of emergencies. When the elderly living alone experience situations such as falls or sudden illnesses, the fatality rate is extremely high if they do not receive assistance within one hour.

How to solve the pain point of "not daring to let go" and establish a standardized trust system? After in-depth market research, the Mo Years Light & Shadow team believes that the core of the elderly home service market lies in addressing the dual gaps of "safety" and "emotional connection". Based on this judgment, the project founder Zhou Zimoxuan leveraged his capabilities in integrating university resources and policy subsidies to select Changsha as the starting point for his entrepreneurial venture. Changsha currently has about 1.5 million residents aged 60 and above, with a large base of elderly households, and there is still a gap in professional platforms providing in-home services for the elderly. Mo Years Light & Shadow plans to quickly secure community resources through first-mover advantages within a 6 to 12-month market window.

II. Business Model and Barriers: The Trust Infrastructure Logic of the "Three-Stage Rocket"

Different from traditional housekeeping and photography platforms, Mo Years Light & Shadow has built a progressive business path of "public welfare customer acquisition → value-added services → platform ecosystem".

The first stage is the "public welfare customer acquisition layer". The project is deeply integrated with the volunteer systems of multiple universities in Changsha, using public welfare activities such as free family portrait and ID photo shooting provided by university volunteers in communities as traffic entry points. According to the team's calculations, this model reduces the traditional customer acquisition cost from 300 to 800 yuan to less than 50 yuan. Community public welfare activities not only complete the initial trust building but also accumulate considerable community user profiles for the team.

The second stage is the cash flow support from "high-volume single-person imaging services". The team has digitalized photographer services and launched in-home documentary photography packages priced from 298 yuan to 888 yuan, which serve as the basic revenue stream of the business. This stage is both commercial validation and preparation for subsequent high-value order conversion.

The third stage is the core differentiation of Mo Years Light & Shadow — the "1+1 Two-Person In-Home Safety Service". Addressing the core contradiction that children cannot rest assured about strangers visiting their parents alone, Mo Years Light & Shadow has launched a mandatory two-person in-home service model: one person is responsible for image documentation and emotional companionship, while the other is responsible for home safety inspection and emergency assistance. As designed by the team, one of the on-site service personnel must be a professional staff member holding a Red Cross first aid certificate, and multiple layers of insurance coverage are provided for the elderly during the service. This service model directly responds to children's concerns about their parents' safety while living alone, increasing the unit price per customer and repurchase rate through the value-added experience of "safety + service".

In addition, to form hard-to-replicate competitive barriers, Mo Years Light & Shadow adheres to the "asset-light, no physical store" operation model. On the one hand, relying on the venue resources and subsidy policies of the Malanshan Provincial Incubation Base, the saved store rent is invested in community promotion; on the other hand, the team gradually builds brand awareness through the creation of the founder's personal brand and deep integration with community public welfare. In the future, the platform also plans to open up digital order dispatching and image cloud systems to third-party service providers, upgrading from a self-operated model to a digital platform for matchmaking transactions.

III. Team Advantages and Financing Plan: Focus on Deep Development in the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Region

The smooth progress of the project is inseparable from the founding team's capabilities in strategic planning and resource integration. Although founder Zhou Zimoxuan is a young entrepreneur, he has completed the establishment of the project entity, successfully settled in the Malanshan Provincial Incubation Base / Hunan Equity Exchange to obtain official endorsement, and successively established cooperative relationships with channels such as Haoke Home Elderly Industry Park. Through in-depth communication with community directors and direct surveys of elderly households, the team has verified the authenticity of market pain points and users' willingness to pay.

At present, the M1 to M7 self-operated validation period of Mo Years Light & Shadow has started, the core team has taken initial shape, and the mini-program MVP and detailed commercial SOP documents are also in the preparation stage. In terms of business planning, the team plans to achieve cash flow break-even in M6, cover 8 communities in Changsha and complete preliminary market validation for more than 300 households before M12. Subsequently, the project will be expanded to the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan region and even other cities and prefectures in the province as scheduled.

In terms of financing planning, Changsha Mochenglan Technology Co., Ltd. is currently seeking 1 million yuan in seed round financing, with a pre-money valuation of 7 million to 8 million yuan, and plans to transfer 11% to 12.5% of the equity. The raised funds will be mainly used for early technology research and development, team building, and market promotion in the first batch of communities. With the continuous release of domestic silver economy policy dividends, Mo Years Light & Shadow hopes to redefine "safety, professionalism, and emotion" in this segmented home service track, and is committed to setting industry standards and establishing service standards and trust barriers.
