Second-hand housing prices in the four first-tier cities have generally risen for four consecutive months, with Beijing's price increasing by 0.1% month-on-month last month.

Since March this year, second-hand housing prices have generally risen in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.

Since March this year, second-hand home prices in the four first-tier cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen have seen a widespread rise. This trend is still continuing.

The National Bureau of Statistics has just released data on changes in commercial residential sales prices for June, noting that second-hand home prices in first-tier cities rose by 0.3% month-on-month in June. Among these cities, Beijing recorded the smallest increase, at 0.1%.

This round of rebound in housing prices this year started in February, when Beijing and Shanghai ended nearly a year of consecutive declines and registered month-on-month growth.

Then in March, Guangzhou and Shenzhen also "caught up", making all four first-tier cities see a widespread rise in second-hand home prices.

By last month, this trend of widespread growth had lasted for 4 consecutive months.

The June data released by the National Bureau of Statistics today shows that second-hand residential sales prices in first-tier cities increased by 0.3% month-on-month in June, though the growth rate was 0.1 percentage points lower than that of the previous month.

Specifically, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen recorded respective increases of 0.1%, 0.4%, 0.4% and 0.3%.

In the previous month of May, the month-on-month growth rate of second-hand home prices in Beijing was also 0.1%, which represents a moderation of growth in May and June compared to the 0.3%, 0.6% and 0.4% growth rates seen in February, March and April respectively.

On a year-on-year basis compared to last June, second-hand home prices in the four first-tier cities fell by 4.9% over the past 12 months, though the decline was 0.9 percentage points narrower than that of the previous month. Among them, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen posted respective declines of 5.5%, 3.2%, 6.1% and 4.7%.

For new homes, new home prices in first-tier cities rose by 0.1% month-on-month in June, with the growth rate also 0.1 percentage points lower than the previous month. Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen registered respective increases of 0.3%, 0.2% and 0.3%, while only Beijing saw a 0.3% decline.
