The Swiss information and communication technology company Ovomind was founded in 2021. The company is committed to developing an intelligent bracelet for emotion recognition. The bracelet is equipped with multiple sensors that can capture the physiological reactions of the human body caused by emotional changes. Based on AI, it can convert physiological signals into real-time data to interpret the user's emotions, thus realizing dynamic interaction between the system product and the user. This bracelet is the first non-invasive device that can continuously and reliably detect emotional states in a real environment.

Ovomind was co-founded by Yann Frachi and Julien Masse. Yann Frachi is the CEO and CTO of the company. Currently, he is a doctoral candidate in the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London, focusing on media and art technology. Julien Masse is the engineering leader of the company and was formerly the CEO and co-founder of Ino-VR.

Although current digital systems and AI can understand language, vision, clicks, voice, actions, or behavioral results, there are still obvious blind spots in understanding emotions, which are key factors affecting human decision-making, attention, performance, engagement, fatigue, and stress. They cannot understand the user's internal feelings such as tension, excitement, stress, fatigue, or calmness in real-time during the use of the system or product. Therefore, in industries such as gaming, automotive, health, entertainment, and interactive media, most products still cannot perceive the user's real psychological state, resulting in unnatural interaction effects or delayed feedback. This makes it difficult to achieve true personalization in game difficulty, in-vehicle response, health intervention, and content recommendation, and restricts the product's adaptive ability, interaction efficiency, and user engagement.

Ovomind has developed an intelligent bracelet for emotion recognition. The bracelet is built on an end-to-end technology stack. It can capture the physiological reactions caused by human emotional changes through built-in sensors and convert them into real-time emotional data to be transmitted to application products. This enables enterprises to embed human emotions as a new interaction layer into products, services, and experiences.

Ovomind's intelligent bracelet is equipped with multiple sensors, including a photoplethysmogram sensor that detects changes in blood volume optically to obtain indicators such as heart rate and heart rate variability; a galvanic skin response sensor that can detect changes in skin conductance to obtain sympathetic nerve reactions such as tension, stress, and excitement; and a skin and motion sensor that can capture changes in skin temperature and motion state. After the bracelet collects the physiological signals induced by emotions, it further cleans and denoises the signals through AI, eliminating interference factors such as motion, wearing state, and environmental changes. Then it converts the signals into real-time emotional data that can be understood and called by application products, enabling the products to provide dynamic feedback and adaptive interaction based on the user's emotions.

Based on this intelligent bracelet, Ovomind provides enterprises with a complete set of emotion analysis and management tools, covering the entire process of user emotion recognition, data collection, and systematic management. Ovomind can visualize the user's emotional changes during game testing, product experience, training, or content interaction in the form of timelines, heat maps, peaks, and turning points, helping enterprises accurately locate emotional fluctuations in different links and then optimize product design and user experience. At the same time, Ovomind supports the secure recording and structured export of data sets, facilitating subsequent analysis, report generation, and integration with external systems. At the management level, Ovomind provides multi-role permission control for the distribution, status monitoring, firmware upgrade, and binding management of intelligent bracelets. Through unified registration and access, it can also ensure the stable transfer and collaborative use of data among various application products, transforming scattered emotional signals into analyzable, manageable, and scalable enterprise-level insights.

Ovomind's intelligent bracelet is currently mainly used in scenarios such as gaming, player testing, and live interactive events. For example, by continuously monitoring the player's physiological reactions, the data can be visualized in the form of an emotion heat map and directly integrated into the game system, enabling developers to create a more immersive, adaptive, and emotionally interactive gaming experience. Its bracelet development kit is fully compatible with mainstream game engines such as Unity, Unreal Engine, and Godot and has been verified by projects such as "Dead Shadows". Currently, the kit has been adapted to nine games, and more games are under development. The company has already served partners such as Ubisoft and Netflix and is now expanding its technology to fields such as automotive, health, entertainment, and human factors engineering for driver state monitoring, stress management, personalized content experience, and user experience analysis.

In terms of financing, Ovomind has completed a pre-seed round of financing of $3.8 million and plans to conduct a seed round of financing of $4 million in the fourth quarter of 2026. The funds raised will be used to promote product industrialization, strengthen the SDK and cloud deployment, convert pilot projects into recurring revenue, and expand key vertical industries.
