Dazheng Micro-Nano Completes Over 100 Million Yuan Series A3 Financing to Accelerate the Construction of a 100-Megawatt Production Line for Flexible Perovskite Batteries | Exclusive from 36Kr

Recently, Dazheng Micro-Nano (Jiangsu) Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Dazheng Micro-Nano"), an enterprise focusing on flexible perovskite thin-film solar cells, completed over 100 million yuan in Series A3 financing. This round was led by the Future Creation No. 3 Fund operated by SPARX Asset Management Co., Ltd., one of Japan's largest venture capital funds. The funds under Guoxing Investment continued to increase their holdings in this round. The financing funds will be mainly used for the construction of the world's first 100MW next-generation solar cell (flexible perovskite thin-film solar cell) production line in Haicang, Xiamen, accelerating the mass production process of next-generation solar cells (flexible perovskite thin-film solar cells).
Founded in November 2018, Dazheng Micro-Nano is a national high-tech enterprise specializing in the manufacturing of lightweight flexible perovskite battery components and related precision equipment. In 2022, Dazheng Micro-Nano built the world's first flexible perovskite pilot line and began supplying products to domestic and foreign customers. The company plans to further promote the large-scale implementation of this technology globally through the construction of the 100MW production line in Xiamen.
In recent years, multiple countries have incorporated perovskite technology into their energy strategies. China clearly promotes the R & D of industrialization technology for high-efficiency perovskite batteries in the "14th Five-Year Plan for Scientific and Technological Innovation in the Energy Field". Japan also included flexible perovskite batteries in the "Seventh Basic Energy Plan" in 2025 as a key area for the development of next-generation solar cells.
Perovskite photovoltaic technology is an advanced next-generation solar photovoltaic technology. Among them, flexible perovskite thin-film solar cells have very different application scenarios from traditional crystalline silicon solar cells and rigid perovskite batteries due to their characteristics such as light weight, flexibility, and strong response to low light.
Flexible perovskite batteries can be directly attached to the vertical walls of industrial plants and the curved roofs of agricultural greenhouses like "building materials", solving the problem that traditional components cannot be widely used on the vertical facades of buildings due to weight and rigidity limitations. In the transportation field, from the roofs of new energy vehicles to the bodies of rail transit, flexible components can provide auxiliary power, effectively extending the cruising range. At the same time, in the fields of consumer electronics and outdoor emergency, the rollable and portable power generation materials also provide new energy solutions for scenarios such as powering portable devices and emergency disaster relief.
Dazheng Micro-Nano introduced that the company is the global flexible perovskite battery enterprise closest to mass production. In terms of materials, the company independently synthesizes the core raw materials of flexible perovskite, has obtained the first domestic invention patent for flexible perovskite, and has been authorized more than 20 patents. It has repeatedly set world records for the efficiency of flexible perovskite batteries. In terms of equipment, it has the independent development ability for key flexible perovskite preparation equipment such as slot coating and PVD, and cooperates in the development of laser equipment. The self-production ability of core equipment is the key to large-scale mass production.
In addition, Dazheng Micro-Nano has mastered the core R & D technology of SHJ + PSC tandem solar cells, effectively improving efficiency and reducing costs. Through accelerated aging tests in the process, it can theoretically operate stably for more than 15 years.
In terms of market expansion, Dazheng Micro-Nano built the world's first outdoor photovoltaic energy storage demonstration project in 2023, which is still operating stably to date, with excellent power generation data, laying a solid foundation for industrialization. In addition, outdoor verifications are also being carried out in Hunan, Japan and other places respectively.
However, compared with rigid battery products, flexible perovskite batteries require bendability, and there are higher requirements for the materials of each functional layer inside the product and the bonding force between each functional layer. There are also more problems to be solved in the underlying logic of material design and preparation and the device architecture. At the same time, there is a shortage of core material suppliers and core equipment suppliers in the upstream and downstream of flexible perovskite.
The commercialization of flexible perovskite batteries still faces industrialization challenges such as long-term durability and large-scale production yield control. In the future, the construction and subsequent operation of the world's first 100MW production line of Dazheng Micro-Nano is a key step in the company's development and will also actually verify the industrialization feasibility of flexible perovskite technology.
