The patent infringement case of Unitree Technology has reached a new development. On September 30, according to reports from multiple media outlets such as Lanjing Finance, in the case where Unitree Technology was sued by Hangzhou Luweimei Daily Chemical Co., Ltd. for infringing an invention patent, the court rendered a verdict on the 26th of this month, and the plaintiff lost the case. The court has rejected all the plaintiff's claims. Unitree Technology does not constitute infringement.

The court's judgment mentioned that Luweimei's claim that the alleged product constitutes infringement is unfounded. Since Luweimei's alleged infringement cannot be established, the court will no longer comment on other disputed points.

Previously, Tianyancha's risk information showed that Hangzhou Unitree Technology Co., Ltd. had a new court session announcement. The plaintiff was Hangzhou Luweimei Daily Chemical Co., Ltd., and the case was a dispute over infringement of an invention patent. The case was heard in the Hangzhou Intermediate People's Court on August 26.

Business registration information shows that Hangzhou Luweimei Daily Chemical Co., Ltd. was established in June 2005. The legal representative is Zhou Jianjun, and the registered capital is 550,000 yuan. Its business scope includes online food sales, agricultural and sideline product sales, and daily necessities sales. It is jointly held by Zhou Jianjun and Xu Yan. In 2024, the number of insured employees in the company was only 2.

The company has two patents: one is a patent for "an electronic dog" applied for in 2016 and authorized in 2018; the other is a patent for "a conference simultaneous intelligent system" applied for in 2023, which is currently in the substantive examination stage.

Among them, the "electronic dog" patent involves a household intelligent robot device, providing an electronic dog that imitates a biological pet, can perform various monitoring and control functions, and can also cooperate with the owner for entertainment. The electronic dog is equipped with a high-definition camera, a gas sensor, a microphone, and a speaker on its head and neck. When the user is away from home, they can remotely connect to the electronic dog through a mobile phone or computer to keep track of the situation at home.

According to Hongxing News, the "electronic dog" patent was published on February 8, 2017, and was authorized in 2018. The inventor is Zhou Jianjun. Unitree Technology's first quadruped robot, Laikago, was released in October 2017. From the timeline, it was later than the publication time of Luweimei's patent. However, there is no public information about the sales of Luweimei's "electronic dog" so far.

Unitree Technology was established on August 26, 2016, and its headquarters is located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. The controlling shareholder, actual controller, and legal representative of the company are all the founder, Wang Xingxing. The company focuses on the independent research, development, production, and sales of consumer - grade and industrial - grade high - performance general - purpose legged/humanoid robots and dexterous robotic arms.

On September 2, Unitree Technology issued a statement on social media, announcing that it is expected to submit listing application documents to the stock exchange between October and December 2025.
