Lanyang Technology proposed the establishment of two liquid cooling industry standards at the ODCC Summer Plenary Session, promoting the standardization process of the industry.
On June 26th, the Summer Plenary Session of the Open Data Center Committee (ODCC) was successfully held in Hefei. Lanyang (Ningbo) Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Lanyang Technology") was invited to participate in the session. Lin Zijie, the Deputy General Manager/CTO, proposed the establishment of two industry standards, namely "Delivery Specifications and Test Methods for Outdoor Liquid-Cooled Data Centers" and "Delivery Specifications and Test Methods for Two-Phase Cold Plate Liquid-Cooled Systems", which attracted high attention from the industry. Meanwhile, Wang Mengcheng, the Deputy General Manager/COO of the company, was successfully elected as a member of the new ODCC Technical Expert Group, offering suggestions and contributing to the development of ODCC and China's data center industry.
Lin Zijie systematically explained the core content of the two industry standards in his proposal. Among them, the "Delivery Specifications for Two-Phase Cold Plate Liquid-Cooled Systems" clarifies the delivery methods, general requirements, and specific acceptance criteria for each subsystem of the two-phase cold plate liquid-cooled system, and details the test methods for key components. As an efficient heat dissipation solution, the two-phase cold plate liquid-cooled system has broad application prospects in the data center field. Lin Zijie took Lanyang Technology's independently developed "Lanyang New Intelligent-Drive Self-Circulating Liquid-Cooled Temperature-Controlled Server" as an example to demonstrate the practical application effect of the two-phase cold plate liquid-cooled system. This server uses the phase-change pressure difference of the two-phase insulating and heat-conducting liquid to achieve pump-free driving. Combined with AI intelligent control and micro-channel topology optimization, it reduces costs by ≥30% and energy consumption by ≥50% compared with products of the same performance, fully reflecting the advantages of the two-phase cold plate liquid-cooled system.
In response to the growing demand for edge computing and flexible deployment, the "Delivery Specifications for Outdoor Liquid-Cooled Data Centers" focuses on the acceptance requirements in special outdoor environments. This standard details the acceptance requirements and test methods for outdoor liquid-cooled data centers during delivery, and serves as a guiding technology for the delivery acceptance and testing of outdoor liquid-cooled data centers. The specifications cover the delivery details of subsystems from carrier levelness, lightning protection and grounding tests to fire protection, power environment monitoring and security, etc. It widely references many authoritative documents, including the "General Specifications for Containerized Data Center Computer Rooms" and ODCC's own immersion liquid-cooling standards, to ensure its rigor and applicability. Lin Zijie took Lanyang Technology's actual deployment project in Europe as an example to demonstrate how the containerized and movable outdoor liquid-cooled data center solution can adapt to the harsh environment of high temperature and high humidity.
A clear and standardized delivery process and rigorous test methods are the keys to ensuring the long-term stable operation of liquid-cooled data centers and reducing operation and maintenance risks, and they are also the cornerstone of the healthy development of the industry. As a national-level specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative "little giant" enterprise, Lanyang Technology, with its core technologies in the liquid-cooling field, continuously promotes the commercialization of efficient heat dissipation solutions. The proposal for the establishment of these two industry standards addresses the gap in the specifications of the delivery and acceptance process in the large-scale application of current liquid-cooling technologies. It aims to establish a unified and reliable quality benchmark for the industry, which not only demonstrates Lanyang Technology's technological accumulation and practical experience but also reflects its sense of responsibility in leading the formulation of industry standards. In the future, Lanyang Technology will continue to increase R&D investment, provide heat dissipation technology support for the construction of efficient, low-carbon, and safe new digital infrastructure, and inject new impetus into the green and low-carbon development of China's data centers.
