The two-wheeled electric vehicle market is entering an important node of consumption upgrade. Currently, the native generation of the mobile Internet has become the main consumer force, and user needs have undergone significant changes.

Due to the flexible and convenient characteristics of two-wheeled electric vehicles, they have always been the main means of transportation for many users in daily scenarios such as short-distance commuting, picking up and dropping off children, and grocery shopping. However, with the diversified upgrade of travel needs, such as longer inter-district commuting distances or the expansion of weekend outings to the suburbs, more and more users have put forward clear demands for long-range capabilities. Long-range has become a key factor connecting daily transportation and diverse travel.

Han Yixi, the global vice president of product and technology at Yadea Technology Group, said in an interview with 36Kr and other media that based on a large amount of riding data and user surveys, it can be found that the current long-range needs are mainly concentrated in three core scenarios: practical long-range, high-power long-range, and all-scenario long-range.

Among them, practical long-range focuses on daily high-frequency travel, meeting the needs of short-distance multiple trips such as urban commuting and supermarket shopping; high-power long-range refers to the problem of balancing performance and range, ensuring continuous power output in high-load scenarios such as climbing mountains and high-speed driving; all-scenario long-range is aimed at all-terrain and all-weather adaptability, requiring two-wheeled electric vehicles to have stable and long-lasting range performance in extreme climates such as severe cold and heat, as well as complex road conditions in urban and rural areas.

On May 26th, Yadea officially launched the new models of the G5 S series. On the basis of continuing the long-range advantage of the G5 series, it more precisely covers the long-range needs of users in all-scenario riding, and takes the lead in the industry to put forward the product commitment of "three-year warranty for durable batteries", further expanding its "activity radius" from daily short-distance commuting to diverse scenarios such as inter-district travel and suburban outings, with an increasingly wide range of applicable groups.

In terms of batteries, Yadea has independently developed the Ivy II graphene battery. Through the breakthrough upgrade of the purity of eight major materials and the patented technology of slurry vacuum atomization, it constructs a long-life and stable structure, enabling the battery to effectively resist performance degradation and improve durability during long-term use. The upgrade of the internal structure also increases the volume utilization rate to 85%.

Facing the severe cold and heat climates in many regions, the battery activity of ordinary lead-acid batteries will decrease in low-temperature environments, resulting in a significant reduction in the range. In contrast, due to its material characteristics and structural design, the graphene battery is less affected by temperature. In winter, its capacity is hardly affected, the range changes little, and the battery damage is also smaller, extending the overall service life and improving the user's riding experience in different seasons.

In terms of algorithms, the range can also be effectively improved through intelligent functions.

Taking the Yadea G5 S White Shark 90 as an example, this model is equipped with the Yadea TTFAR Evergreen Range Extension System. Its built-in AI intelligent control chip can intelligently diagnose the health status of the battery. When the battery is fully charged, the charger will automatically stop charging to avoid damage to the battery caused by overcharging, thereby extending the battery's service life. When the user is riding, the TTFAR global controller continues the function of energy recovery and charging, which can convert the kinetic energy generated by the vehicle into electrical energy and store it during coasting, downhill and other scenarios, realizing charging while riding to increase the additional range.

In addition to the TTFAR Evergreen Range Extension System, the Yadea G5 S series is also equipped with technologies such as iRide intelligent experience and Ark safety technology. The iRide intelligent technology is equipped with functions such as inductive unlocking and locking, intelligent anti-theft, and cloud OTA remote upgrade, enriching the user's intelligent experience; the Ark safety technology ensures the stability and safety of the user's riding in multiple scenarios through the coordination of intelligent hardware and software control. The superposition of multiple technologies achieves a synergistic effect of 1+1+1>3, optimizing the overall performance of the product and truly solving the long-range needs of different user groups in various usage scenarios.

Currently, the number of Yadea's global terminal stores has exceeded 40,000, constructing a perfect sales and service network, and its channel coverage rate ranks first in the industry. As a Chinese electric vehicle brand that has ranked first in global sales for eight consecutive years and has a cumulative sales volume of over 100 million units, according to a report by Frost & Sullivan, as of April 2025, the cumulative sales volume of Yadea's G5 series has exceeded 20 million units, setting a new sales record for a single series in the industry.
