On February 20, OPPO released the new dual-fold flagship OPPO Find N5, claiming to be the thinnest folding screen phone in the world.

It is reported that the thickness of the OPPO Find N5 after unfolding is 8.93 millimeters, almost the same as the height of the Type C interface, while the thickness of similar products in the industry is generally more than 10 millimeters.

Liu Zuohu, the Chief Product Officer of OPPO, introduced that the key to making the folding screen thinner is to control the thickness of the hinge.

OPPO Find N5

It is reported that OPPO has doubled the mass production process limit of the titanium alloy 3D printing industry through material application, structural design, and system simulation verification. It has also broken through many limits in the precision manufacturing industry and created the "Titanium Alloy Sky Dome Hinge", with the thinnest part of the hinge flap being only 0.15mm. At the same time, the overall thickness of the hinge is reduced by 26%, and the overall stiffness is increased by 36%.

The OPPO Find N5 also has a good screen flatness. After testing, the crease depth of the Find N5's screen is controlled within 0.15mm after being closed continuously for 14 days, and the crease angle is ≤2.5°, which has passed the German Rheinland TÜV non-sense crease certification.

Another major selling point of the OPPO Find N5 is the office interaction and AI functions.

Chen Xi, the Design Director of OPPO ColorOS, introduced that if you urgently need to use a Mac computer that is not with you, you can remotely control the computer through the Find N5 without turning on the computer, and you can also directly drag and transfer computer files to the phone.

The Find N5 and the computer can also establish a near-field connection through the O+ Interconnection Client to achieve real-time synchronization of files on both ends, and files on the opposite end can be viewed on any device. For the problem of slow video opening, OPPO has developed a self-developed near-field streaming multimedia framework. No matter the size of the video, it can be opened and previewed without loss on the computer in seconds.

In order to improve office efficiency, OPPO has launched "OPPO Docs" this time, providing users with functions such as document format conversion, page scanning, content generation of mind maps, and AI polishing for free.

If you need to find a file, the Find N5 supports AI intent search without keywords. Users only need to describe the content of the document, and the AI can automatically find the relevant files.

Currently, the OPPO Find N5 has three storage capacities: 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB. The starting price is 8999 yuan, and it is expected to be officially launched on February 26.
