HardcoreTech has learned that Guangzhou Future Power Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "VLAI Future Power") recently completed a millions of yuan angel round. This round was invested by MiraclePlus, and the funds will be used to increase the R & D investment in integrated joint motors, expand the joint matrix and hardware iterative upgrades, and accelerate the delivery of mass production orders.
"VLAI Future Power" is an embodied intelligence core component supplier, and the core team members are all from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). The company focuses on the independent research and development of lightweight, high-density, and highly precise control integrated joint motors, providing multiple series and standard hardware solutions for humanoid robots, quadruped robots, wheeled-foot robots, intelligent C-terminal and other products.

As the core driving component of the robot, the performance of the integrated joint motor is directly related to the flexibility, precision and efficiency of the equipment, in which torque and torque density are two important indicators to measure the performance of the motor.
The greater the motor torque, the more load it can withstand and the wider the application scenarios it is applicable to. For example, in humanoid robots or quadruped robots, the joint motor needs to have sufficient torque to drive the movement of the robot to ensure the stability and flexibility of the robot in actions such as walking and jumping.
Under the same volume or weight, a higher torque density is more likely to achieve a miniaturized and lightweight design, and a greater torque can improve the efficiency and performance of the motor, helping to reduce the overall weight of the robot and improve the flexibility and endurance of the robot.
Considering the compactness and lightweight requirements of the joint structure, in the R & D process, "VLAI Future Power" adopts a three-in-one mode of the motor body, planetary reducer, and driver (double encoding), reducing the connection points and potential failure points between components. By directly connecting the planetary reducer to the motor, the energy loss in the transmission process can be reduced and the transmission efficiency can be improved. At the same time, the double encoder driver can provide high-precision position and speed control, making the response of the entire power system more rapid and accurate.

For example, the previously released VLAI-8018 joint motor, which weighs only 600 grams and has a peak torque output of 36NM, can provide sufficient power support when the bipedal robot starts, stops or climbs a slope. The VLAI-8018 motor is easy to integrate and has strong compatibility. Its compact structure design and standardized interface can seamlessly connect with multiple robot platforms without the need for complex modification and debugging work, effectively saving development time and cost, and making it more convenient for customers and individual developers to integrate the VLAI-8018 motor into existing or newly developed robot products to achieve rapid deployment and upgrading of products.
Recently, "VLAI Future Power" released a new generation of embodied intelligence integrated joint motor models, of which the peak torque of B4 is 120Nm, the torque density is 85Nm/Kg, the peak torque of B3 is 36Nm, the torque density is 65Nm/Kg, and the prices are 999 yuan and 699 yuan respectively, achieving a further reduction in the price of the integrated joint motor. Both of these motors are equipped with multiple protection mechanisms and a wide voltage working mode, and support modular expansion.
