HardcoreTech has learned that recently, Nanjing Linear Control Robot Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Linear Control Technology"), a developer of new heavy-duty industrial robots, has completed a tens of millions of yuan Pre-A round of financing. This round of financing is led by Yunshi Capital, with the old shareholder Qingyan Tiansheng making an additional investment, and Yuanshan Capital serving as the exclusive financial advisor. The funds will be used to continuously explore the application of linear control robot technology in multiple scenarios and to continuously improve the talent team.
Linear Control Technology was established in Nanjing in 2023, mainly developing and producing new heavy-duty industrial robots for application in large workpieces and large-space industrial scenarios. Last year, the company delivered the first domestic linear control robot to Southeast University. Recently, it has achieved the world's first industrial linear control robot with a 3-ton load to be applied in a 1,200-square-meter working space. It has now signed or is delivering several projects in the shipbuilding, steel manufacturing and other industries.
Linear control robot is a new form of heavy-duty industrial robot. Compared with traditional industrial robots, linear control robots have greater advantages in many aspects such as control, load capacity, cost, and flexibility: its operating range can exceed 1,000 square meters, and the effective load can reach up to 20 tons. This enables the linear control robot to handle various complex application scenarios such as handling, palletizing, painting, testing, hoisting, grinding, welding, etc., with strong scalability.
In addition, in terms of the industry, linear control robots can be applied in heavy industrial fields such as steel manufacturing, rail transit, shipbuilding, aerospace, petrochemical, wind power equipment, etc. In large-space, large-load, and large-workpiece scenarios, it can improve multiple industry problems that have long been prevalent, such as low working efficiency, high safety risks, high automation costs, and difficult to ensure operation accuracy of the traditional solutions.

Dr. Yang Hai, the founder of Linear Control Technology, told HardcoreTech: "Most traditional robot solutions mainly plan products around a relatively small space and controllable range within 1-2 meters, emphasizing high-cycle, high-consistency batch production scenarios. However, such solutions cannot meet the needs of large working spaces, high loads, and high operational flexibility in industries such as shipbuilding, steel, and aerospace. If traditional solutions are used, the complexity will be greatly increased, and the cost will be increased, making the feasibility of the solution reduced."
At present, the linear control robot products launched by Linear Control Technology can be quickly deployed and efficiently operated in large-space and large-workpiece scenarios, allowing automatic and manual control; it has 6 degrees of freedom, which can achieve precise operation and attitude control, and can achieve a load capacity of up to tens of tons. Recently, the commercial solution implemented by Linear Control Technology can have a load capacity of up to 3 tons, and the effective load is more than 5 times that of the traditional robot solution.
In terms of cost savings, the products of Linear Control Technology have a cylindrical modular structure, small space occupation, relatively simple structure, and short installation period. Customers do not need to stop work, saving installation and time costs.
In 2025, Linear Control Technology will quickly sell and replicate in the same usage scenario based on the platform robot products that have been verified by customers, and achieve the first set of robot application implementations in more industrial scenarios and industries.
In terms of the team, Dr. Yang Hai studied under a French robotics authority professor and has been engaged in robot innovation research and development at the top European research institute Tecnalia for more than ten years, participating in and leading several EU Horizon and French national major robot field innovation research and development and industrialization implementation projects; the core executives of the company all have more than ten years of design and development, production and manufacturing, and operation management experience in the top companies in the industrial automation field.
Investor's Viewpoint:
Yunshi Capital said: "Linear Control Technology" provides a generationally improved solution in the production process and in-plant warehousing with its innovative automated robot technology, significantly improving efficiency compared to traditional solutions. With the linear control robot as the basic product grip, in the macro environment of pursuing high efficiency and quality in future production and manufacturing, the company is expected to open up a large market space in the heavy industry manufacturing field.
