Beijing Unicom and Huawei have jointly released the world's first 5G-A Smart Network.

At the "5G Capital on the Road - 5G-A Lighting Up the Whole City" event held in Beijing, Beijing Unicom and Huawei officially launched the world's first 5G-A large-scale three-dimensional smart network. This innovative network has achieved full 5G-A continuous coverage in areas such as within the Fourth Ring Road in Beijing and the sub-center of the city. In the Workers' Stadium, a high-low frequency networking is used to create a world-leading 5G-A smart commercial complex. At the same time, the industry's first 5G-A 10-gigabit air-ground integrated large-scale networking demonstration has been deployed in the Great Wall scenic area, creating a "5G-A Low-altitude Economic Innovation Base". This innovative launch has brought a more "excellent" experience to the citizens.

 

Ultra-large-scale commercial 3CC network, covering tens of millions of people, 5G-A lighting up the whole city

Beijing Unicom continues to promote the 5G-A large-scale networking demonstration, and together with Huawei, it has built the world's ultra-large-scale 5G-A 3CC commercial network in Beijing, covering various key scenarios such as stadiums, schools, scenic spots, subways, business districts, and residential areas, achieving continuous coverage in areas such as within the Fourth Ring Road in Beijing and the sub-center of the city. The 5G-A activation ratio exceeds 85%, providing a strong 5G-A 3CC network capacity support for immersive videos, ultra-high-definition live broadcasts, cloud games and other services. At the same time, Beijing Unicom combines the 5G-A 3CC network capability with traditional phone booths to realize services such as one-click navigation, one-click car-hailing, one-click alarm, and one-click medical assistance, benefiting tens of millions of people in Beijing.

Beijing Unicom, in collaboration with Zhonghe Group, Jitewosi - Workers' Stadium Metaverse, and Huawei, has built a world-leading 5G-A three-dimensional networking super network in the Workers' Stadium. Based on the large-scale deployment of 5G-A 3CC sites inside and outside the stadium, the world's thickest 5G-A 10-gigabit collaborative networking is realized, with a measured downlink peak rate of 11.2 Gbps, which can effectively meet the needs of 68,000 audiences in the Workers' Stadium to simultaneously watch 1080p high-definition videos smoothly. The uplink peak rate can reach 4 Gbps, enabling businesses such as CCTV's ultra-high-definition shallow compression and helping with intelligent event management. In addition, Beijing Unicom actively innovates and practices in areas such as the Internet of Vehicles, the Internet of Things, and XR separate rendering, demonstrating the potential of the 5G-A network to empower thousands of industries.

In the Great Wall scenic area, the Beijing Yanqing District Government and Beijing Unicom have closely collaborated to deploy a large-scale 5G-A 10-gigabit base station, achieving continuous coverage of the ground and low-altitude areas of the Great Wall region, meeting the integrated coverage within 300 meters below. Through high-low frequency collaborative networking, a highly reliable and high-quality deterministic network is provided, and in-depth exploration is carried out in scenarios such as low-altitude tourism, low-altitude logistics, low-altitude emergency rescue, and scenic area protection, helping the high-quality development of the low-altitude economy.

5G-A site full-process automation, minute-level activation, AI-driven intelligent optimization

Based on the 5G intelligent operation platform, Beijing Unicom has established a complete end-to-end self-activation process for 5G-A sites in a lightweight scenario. The activation time of 5G-A base stations has been shortened from the day level to the minute level, with 0 manual interventions, significantly reducing the network security risk. At the same time, combined with AI, activation optimization, business optimization, and iterative patrol optimization are realized, and a full-process automatic optimization of 5G-A base stations based on user business big data is constructed. As the world's first operator to achieve network self-activation and self-optimization in a lightweight scenario, Beijing Unicom also realizes distributed AI management by sinking computing power to the base stations, building a cloud-edge collaborative digital intelligence ecosystem.
