36Kr has learned that Zhejiang Sankai Electromechanical Co., Ltd. recently announced the completion of over 100 million yuan in Series A financing, led by Dachen Chuangzhi, followed by Sanhua Hongdao and Zhegu Kunxin. The funds from this round of financing will be used for R & D investment, expanding the production scale of precision planetary reducers, as well as the R & D and production of harmonic robot joint reducers and drivers.
Zhejiang Sankai Electromechanical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Sankai Electromechanical") was established in 2007, specializing in the production of precision reducers, servo motors, servo drives and other products, providing products for the fields of automated production lines and automated equipment. It has collaborated with many well-known manufacturers at home and abroad.
Sankai Electromechanical is one of the early domestic manufacturers to develop precision planetary reducers, which were mass-produced in 2012. Planetary reducers have become the core product of Sankai Electromechanical. Jiang Jianbin, the founder and CEO of Sankai Electromechanical, said that currently, the planetary reducers of Sankai Electromechanical are widely used in the domestic automation field.
Planetary reducers can reduce the speed of the motor, increasing the output torque while maintaining the operating accuracy. As a core supporting component, planetary reducers have been widely used in the new energy industry, semiconductor equipment, intelligent logistics, 3C and other automated industries.
With the rise of humanoid robots, Sankai Electromechanical has also established a robot service team to develop planetary reducers and harmonic reducers suitable for robots.
There are three mainstream structures for humanoid robot reducer joint drivers, namely planetary reducers, harmonic reducers, and ball screws. Jiang Jianbin said that the market maturity of planetary reducers and harmonic reducers is relatively high.
Jiang Jianbin told 36Kr that Sankai Electromechanical has successfully developed an integrated device of drive, motor, and reducer, and it has been mass-produced.
He said that the integration of drive, motor, and reducer first solves the problem of after-sales responsibility division that may arise from the cooperation of multiple suppliers; secondly, it can improve the compactness of the equipment and save equipment space. In addition, the integrated design reduces the demand for couplings, reducing the failure rate and cost. Jiang Jianbin predicts that the demand for integration in robots and robot dogs will continue to increase in the future.
Currently, Sankai Electromechanical has two core manufacturing bases and has set up a sales and R & D center in Hangzhou. The products have been exported to many industrialized developed countries and regions.
Jiang Jianbin said that with the commissioning of the new factory, in the next three years, the annual output of reducers will increase to 800,000 units, and the annual output of permanent magnet synchronous motors, servo motors, and servo drives will each increase to 100,000 units. From 2023 to 2027, the goal of "increasing the annual income to 800 million in five years" is expected to achieve an annual income of 800 million yuan in 2027.
