Blackstone Group expects that Anthropic may not obtain an investment-grade rating after its listing, leaving it facing upward pressure on financing costs.
On October 31, it was reported that Blackstone recently told investors that artificial intelligence startup Anthropic may not immediately obtain an investment-grade credit rating after going public, with the expected rating likely in the "BB" range. Previously, Blackstone had expected the company to secure an investment-grade rating by the end of the year. Anthropic is pushing forward with a $63 billion chip financing deal, including $18 billion in subordinated debt backed by its lease payments. If it fails to obtain an investment-grade rating, Anthropic's future financing channels may be restricted, and its borrowing costs may also rise. (Jiemian News)
