French AI startup Mistral announced that it has completed a new round of financing of 3 billion euros (about 3.5 billion U.S. dollars), led by Samsung, with a post-money valuation of more than 21 billion euros. The EU-backed "European Scale-up Fund" managed by EQT Group also participated in this round of financing, alongside existing investor PSG Equity. A year ago, Mistral was valued at 11.7 billion euros after the close of a financing round led by Dutch semiconductor equipment maker ASML. (Sina Finance)
