On September 8, French artificial intelligence company Mistral announced that it has completed a 3 billion euro Series D financing, with a post-money valuation exceeding 21 billion euros. This is the largest equity financing ever achieved by a European technology enterprise. Samsung Electronics led this round of financing, and Scaleup Europe Fund under EQT and existing investor PSG Equity co-led the investment. Mistral stated that the new funds will be used to expand investment in computing power and infrastructure, strengthen the R&D of cutting-edge AI models, and promote commercialization and international expansion.
