SK Group's semiconductor wafer manufacturer SK Siltron announced on November 14 that it has received a loan financing of 544 million US dollars from the US Department of Energy. SK Siltron CSS will complete the expansion project of its Bay City factory in Michigan by 2027 based on the financial support from the US Department of Energy and the Michigan state government. After the expansion is completed, SK Siltron CSS will rely on the technological achievements of the Auburn Research and Development Center to vigorously produce high-performance silicon carbide (SiC) wafers.
