Außerhalb der Tiefkühlung bei -40 °C verändert die TCL Doppelmagnet-Frischhaltung die Logik der Lebensmittelkonservierung.

Everyone who has watched "Game of Thrones" will remember it. The special thing about the northern border is not the cold, but the feeling as if time had stopped, the blood flowed more slowly, and all things were "frozen".

In reality, this feeling is not science fiction. In the Arctic Circle, where extreme cold of -40 °C and a highly stable magnetic field come together, cells and water can be firmly "held". That's why the global seed gene bank is located in the Arctic Circle: Time passes more slowly here than elsewhere.

What if you could bring this "aging delay system" from the Arctic into your refrigerator?

TCL has created the solution: A black-box refrigerator that puts food in a "rest state" and keeps it fresh in the long term - the TCL 515 Double-Magnet Fresh Refrigerator.

Does it sound like science fiction? Don't worry, practice shows it.

How effective is the -40 °C low-temperature magnetic fresh technology? A beef steak stays frozen for 7 days without bleeding!

Freezing is often the part of the refrigerator that is most easily overlooked, but it has the greatest impact on the quality of food.

Have you also had the problem that you had to freeze uneaten meat, and when it thawed, it was tough, crumbly, and lost a lot of juice? It also doesn't taste fresh anymore. This change comes not only from the storage time but also from the destruction of the cell structure by ice crystals that form during freezing.

To better demonstrate the performance of the TCL 515 Double-Magnet Fresh Refrigerator, 36Kr directly compared it with other mainstream refrigerators in the same price segment. We conducted several comparison tests to see how well the TCL 515 stands up to the test.

We selected two beef steaks from the same part of the beef, weighed them before freezing, noted the color and texture, and measured the initial water content with a meat moisture meter. Then we put them in the freezers of two refrigerators and stored them for 7 days. The TCL 515 Double-Magnet Fresh Refrigerator was set to -40 °C, while the normal refrigerator could only cool down to -30 °C.

After 7 days, we thawed the two beef steaks under the same conditions. The difference was most obvious during thawing. The beef steak from the normal refrigerator quickly bled a lot, and the kitchen paper became wet quickly. The beef steak from the TCL 515 Double-Magnet Fresh Refrigerator excreted significantly less liquid, and the plate bottom and the paper remained almost dry.

The amount of excreted blood actually shows the degree of cell destruction. The larger the ice crystals that form during freezing, the stronger the destruction of the cells, and the more water and nutrients are lost during thawing.

In the pressure test, the beef steak from the normal refrigerator bounced back more slowly, and the tissue was a bit loose. In contrast, the beef steak from the TCL 515 was firmer. When looking at the cross-section, the normal beef steak was a bit darker, while the beef steak from the TCL 515 still retained the color of fresh meat.

The repeated measurement with the moisture meter also showed that the beef steak from the normal refrigerator had a greater loss of water, while the beef steak from the TCL 515 retained a higher water content.

The cause of the difference lies in the ice crystals.

Large ice crystals that form during freezing can pierce the cell structure. To better understand this process, you can imagine the cells as balloons filled with water. When the temperature drops slowly, the ice crystals become larger and can pierce the cell wall. In a faster low-temperature environment, the ice crystals become smaller and more uniform, and the destruction of the cell structure is reduced.

The freezer compartment of the TCL 515 Double-Magnet Fresh Refrigerator uses the -40 °C low-temperature magnetic fresh technology. The lower temperature allows the food to pass through the ice crystal formation area more quickly and reduces the time in which large ice crystals form. At the same time, magnetic control technology is used to transform the water molecule clusters in the food from a macromolecular state into a more stable micromolecular structure, further reducing the size of the ice crystals.

Put simply, normal freezing is more like "slow freezing", while the low-temperature magnetic fresh technology enables faster cooling and smaller ice crystals and reduces the destruction of the cell structure. In this way, seafood and meat can be kept fresh for 100 days.

Besides freezing, the other core function, cooling, is also very important for daily use. An important point is that fruits and vegetables continue to breathe in the refrigerator, consume nutrients, and gradually spoil. To extend the shelf life, this process must be slowed down.

For this purpose, we took two boxes of strawberries from the same batch, packed in plastic containers, as a sample. The strawberries were not pre-selected or treated but were directly placed in the refrigerators of the two refrigerators. After 10 days, the two boxes of strawberries were taken out of the refrigerators and compared.

The strawberries from the normal refrigerator had already become soft, excreted juice, and even got moldy, while the strawberries from the TCL 515 Double-Magnet Fresh Refrigerator still looked round and fresh, almost like when they were bought.

This difference comes from TCL's independent molecular magnetic fresh technology.

This technology generates a stable magnetic field through rare-earth magnets, which affects the movement of water molecules in the food. Under the influence of the magnetic field, the otherwise disordered water molecules are arranged more stably, reducing the cell metabolism and bringing the food into a state similar to a "rest state". In this way, fruits and vegetables can be kept fresh for 15 days.

Therefore, there are also obvious differences in the shape and water content of the food even with the same cooling time.

A good refrigerator must score on all levels

The user experience of a refrigerator depends not only on keeping the food fresh but also on other aspects such as disinfection, odor neutralization, storage space, and design.

A common problem with conventional refrigerators is the mixing of odors, which is essentially a problem of air circulation in the refrigerator.

Many conventional refrigerators have a unified cooling system, where the refrigerator and freezer compartments use the same circulating air duct. The odors of the food are distributed through the air duct and create a "mixed strange smell".

The TCL 515 Double-Magnet Fresh Refrigerator has a double-system individual circulation structure. The refrigerator and freezer compartments each have their own evaporators and circulation systems, so that the air cannot flow between the two compartments, and the mixing of odors is avoided from the structure.

If you put ammonia water in the refrigerator compartment and measure the air change with an ammonia sensor, you can find that the odor concentration in the refrigerator compartment drops quickly, while no ammonia diffusion is detected in the freezer compartment. This means that the air circulation in the refrigerator and freezer compartments is independent of each other, and the odors are not transferred between the compartments.

In addition, the T-Fresh multi-point ion active odor neutralization technology is installed in the refrigerator compartment of the refrigerator. This system continuously releases ions that decompose the odor molecules in the air and at the same time quickly kill bacteria. In this way, it can reduce agricultural residues, eliminate ethylene, eliminate mold and viruses, and keep the environment in the refrigerator compartment stable.

According to official data, this technology can neutralize 99.9% of the odors and achieve a bacteria killing rate of 99.9999%. Of course, there are also many cold-loving bacteria in the cold. The freezer compartment of the TCL 515 Double-Magnet Fresh Refrigerator is also equipped with the T-Fresh cold bacteria inhibition technology, which is also effectively antibacterial, odor-neutralizing, and mold-preventing.

In terms of system development, TCL has not only solved the problem of keeping food fresh but also comprehensively managed disinfection and odor neutralization.

Besides the core technologies, this refrigerator also has a high degree of user-friendliness. In daily use, it is very practical: With a thickness of 59.4 cm, it can be perfectly installed in the kitchen cabinets and provides a real "seamless" solution. The 90° angle door opening allows the drawers to be fully opened even in small kitchens. It has an energy efficiency class of A and only costs a few cents per day in electricity. The noise level is only 34 dB, which is quieter than in a library.

In the daily household environment, these details are often perceived more as a single technical specification.

This is what a household refrigerator should look like

After all these tests, it has been shown that the TCL 515 Double-Magnet Fresh Refrigerator not only keeps the food fresh for a longer time but also redefines the logic of household food preservation.

During freezing, the -40 °C low-temperature magnetic fresh technology reduces the destruction by ice crystals, protects the cells, and retains the juice. In the refrigeration area, the independent molecular magnetic fresh technology enables the food to remain in a "rest state" and slows down the cell metabolism. Both technologies together reduce the losses of the food fundamentally and enable the transition from "delaying spoilage" to "active freshness preservation".

This may be related to TCL's philosophy. In TCL's view, food preservation is not only limited to cooling fruits and vegetables, and freezing food should not only aim at preventing it from spoiling. Compared with the industry, which mainly focuses on refrigeration and freshness preservation, TCL pays more attention to the needs of users in all food preservation scenarios and provides a new solution from both dimensions, freezing and cooling.

Many people don't know that TCL is very consistent and powerful in the electrical appliance industry. Instead of relying on elaborate marketing campaigns, TCL focuses on technology and research. But from the actual product performance, it can be seen that TCL's technological accumulation and R & D investment are much more solid than many people originally thought. Especially in the core function of "freshness preservation", which is highly competitive in the refrigerator industry, TCL is not only on a par with others in refrigeration and freshness preservation but also far ahead in freezing and freshness preservation.
