Hard Kr has learned that "Meiweisi Matrix Power", a provider of full-stack computing power power supply solutions for AIDC, recently completed its Series A financing. It was exclusively invested by Xingxing Charging with an amount of tens of millions of yuan. Zhizhen Consulting served as its long-term exclusive financial advisor. Previously, the company had received angel-round investment from a listed company and Pre-Series A investment from Yushan Capital. The funds from this round will be mainly used for the continuous R & D of power supplies for AI data centers, the expansion of overseas markets, and the replenishment of working capital.
Meiweisi Electrical Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was established in 2020. It is a solution provider focusing on computing power power supplies for AI data centers (AIDC). The company focuses on the R & D of high-efficiency and high-density power supply products. Its product line covers from traditional 54VDC in-cabinet power supply to the next-generation ±400V/800V HVDC out-of-cabinet architecture, and then to cutting-edge technologies such as solid-state transformers.
With the explosive growth of AI computing power demand, the power of a single cabinet is leaping from dozens of kilowatts to the megawatt level. The traditional power supply architecture of UPS plus lead-acid batteries has difficulty supporting the operation of high-density GPU clusters in terms of space, energy efficiency, and dynamic response. The global data center power equipment market is expected to approach 700 billion RMB by 2028. However, the domestic and foreign markets show completely different rhythms. The US market leads far ahead in terms of technology application and investment intensity, and its market size is expected to reach 40 billion US dollars by 2030. Although the Chinese market is growing rapidly, due to the limited access to high-end GPUs, its market size is about one-fourth of that of the US. Currently, Delta occupies about 80% of the global market share with its acquired communication power supply technology, followed by Lite-On. However, most manufacturers are either limited to the traditional UPS field or have rushed to transform from industrial power supplies, lacking the genes to truly understand the high-voltage DC architecture of AI data centers.

In response to this market gap, Hard Kr has learned that "Meiweisi" has built a complete full-stack power supply solution for AIDC from the present to the future. Its existing and under-research product lines comprehensively cover 54VDC in-cabinet power supplies, including PSUs (Power Supply Units) supporting 5.5kW and 12kW, BBUs (Battery Backup Units) integrated with lithium battery management, CBUs (Capacitor Backup Units) that combine supercapacitors to achieve an ultra-fast response of 500 microseconds, and BBSs (Battery Backup Systems) of 240V DC. For the next-generation data centers, the company plans to launch ±400V/800V HVDC out-of-cabinet power supplies. The maximum power of a single cabinet of its HVDC Sidecar module can reach 1.2MW, the system efficiency is between 97.3% and 97.7%, and the load dynamic response time is 500 microseconds. Furthermore, the company has begun to layout solid-state transformer (SST) technology, aiming to directly convert from the 10kV medium-voltage power grid to 800V DC in the future, eliminating multi-level conversion losses and providing the ultimate power supply solution for GW-level AI factories.

In terms of market verification, "Meiweisi" verified its technology and delivery capabilities through its communication power supply business in the early stage and accumulated a good customer base in the Southeast Asian market. As of now, the company has nearly 100 million yuan in hand orders. After this round of financing, it will accelerate the layout of the North American market. Technological iteration and market speed remain the core challenges in the industry. The company will speed up the R & D progress of AI power supplies and promote the productization of cutting-edge technologies such as 800V HVDC and solid-state transformers to cope with the large-scale commercialization trend of 800V DC native servers starting from 2027 promoted by giants such as NVIDIA.
According to Jackie, the person in charge of strategic development and financing of "Meiweisi", the company is currently actively promoting cooperation with North American Internet giants such as Google and Meta on computing power power supply business. At the same time, the team is also carrying out R & D cooperation with domestic leading computing power server manufacturers on the power supply design of ultra-high computing power AIDC servers at the 860KW level.
Hard Kr has learned that the "Meiweisi" team is a rare Huawei-based power supply team in the market. The founder, Li Xiaohua, once served as the vice president of the North American region of Huawei's Network Energy Department. He led the Huawei team as the leading party of the OCP organization's power supply architecture. Based on more than 20 years of experience in communication power supplies, he designed the world's first distributed OCP data center power supply based on 54V DC and lithium battery architecture for Google and Meta. The CTO is a former executive of Huawei's Digital Energy Module Power Sub-business and Huawei's Digital Energy Comprehensive Smart Energy Sub-business. The technical director is a former technical supervisor of Delta, with 22 years of experience in the power supply industry. The core technical team members of the company have more than 20 years of technical accumulation in enterprises such as Huawei, Delta, Emerson, Eltek, and Tyco, and are one of the few domestic teams deeply involved in the design of the OCP power supply architecture.
Views of the Investor
Xingxing Charging: As the exclusive investor in this round, Xingxing Charging highly recognizes Meiweisi's technical strength and market foresight in the field of AIDC computing power power supplies. We can see that with the explosion of AI computing power demand, the traditional power supply architecture has difficulty meeting the industry's development. Meiweisi, with the profound accumulation of its Huawei-based core team, has built a full-stack power supply solution covering the present and the future, especially showing a leading edge in the high-voltage DC field. This investment is not only an affirmation of Meiweisi's power supply technology route but also an important move for Xingxing Charging to layout future energy infrastructure. We believe that Meiweisi will occupy an important position in the AIDC data center power supply market and contribute key strength to the construction of global green and efficient computing power infrastructure.
