48 Hours, Connections Emerged Between Dots | 2026 Su Kesong Retrospective
2026 Suzhou Hackathon
From October 30 to November 1, 200 creators from over 60 schools across 50 cities arrived in Suzhou with their own ideas.
48 hours later, more than 200 participants finished team formation, development and presentation, and 64 projects were born on site.

From the very beginning of preparation to the successful execution of the event, what we aimed for was far more than just a regular hackathon. Apart from providing a space for everyone to write code and build products, we also hope to offer creators an opportunity to meet each other, exchange ideas, and get access to real-world technology applications.
Looking back now, many things that happened in these 48 hours turned out to be even more interesting than we initially expected.
Let's start with getting to know someone new.
This time, we designed the participant badges in the shape of puzzle pieces. Four pieces put together form a complete square. We hope everyone can find their own missing puzzle piece here.

Besides, every participant also received a smart wristband. Based on the registration information, we matched partners with complementary skills who are suitable for team formation in the background. If two people are successfully matched, their wristbands will light up — this is the team-up signal from Suzhou Hackathon: Hey, maybe you two should get to know each other.

The wristbands do the matchmaking, and the rest is up to you.
There is far more than just code here.
On October 31, Halloween coincided with the harvest season of Suzhou hairy crabs. So we decided to hold a special "Crab Hackathon".

Trick or treat? At Suzhou Hackathon, we eat crabs first, then give out candies. 🍬

Even when staying up late for development, we still found time to have fun, and you might run into the 3D-printed version of Nai Long Jiahao on site. ⬇️

There were non-stop enthusiastic shouts from the booths: participants grabbed microphones to attract visitors, even "stopped" the judges right at the entrance, and warmly invited them to their own booths.

From product ideas to on-site demonstrations, every team tried their best to show their work to the judges, and win more recognition for the 48 hours of hard work.
