Double Hemisphere has secured angel round financing, and will iterate its AI learning products to expand distribution channels among colleges and universities.

Beijing Shuangbanqiu Technology recently completed its angel round of financing, with the investment from an unnamed investment firm based in Shenzhen. The raised funds will be mainly used for the iterative upgrading of its existing AI learning products and the expansion of distribution channels across universities nationwide.

Founded in September 2025, Beijing Shuangbanqiu Technology is an AI product and service company focused on the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies, which primarily launches the AI learning entry product "Xueshenbao" for undergraduate students in universities. Centered on the final exam review scenario, the product uses AI structured analysis on teaching materials, PPTs, past exam papers, handouts and other materials to generate localized review paths that match the characteristics of courses in different universities, forming a complete closed-loop learning experience. At present, the product has covered 40 universities, more than 8,000 courses, with over 10,000 cumulative paying users, and more than 70 campus co-operation partners have been signed in Jiangsu Province alone.

The question that general-purpose AI cannot answer

General-purpose AI learning tools only stay at the level of information retrieval and question answering, and cannot adapt to the exam characteristics of different universities. A survey of 2,000 university students shows that 66% of the respondents will buy university-specific review materials 3 days before the exam, and 49.1% of the students said that their biggest difficulty is no longer the lack of access to materials, but the inability to judge which materials truly correspond to the exam points of their own courses. At present, the total number of students enrolled in higher education in China is 48.7257 million, and there are 3,167 higher education institutions across the country.

The core competitive advantage of Shuangbanqiu lies in its data flywheel, and its content sources are divided into three tiers: licensed content, which is used after obtaining authorization in cooperation with content institutions and teaching research parties; self-built question banks and knowledge graphs, which are independently organized, propositioned and labeled by the team; user-uploaded content, which enters the analysis process after authorization confirmation. At present, a considerable proportion of the content on the platform is spontaneously contributed by users. The three-tier structure sets clear boundaries for content use and also shares the cost of long-tail content coverage. Calculated based on the full coverage of more than 8,000 courses in a single university, the market size of a single university in one semester is about 240,000 RMB. Its replicability comes from the standardization of headquarters capabilities: entering a new university only increases local operation costs rather than R&D costs.

Full refund if you fail the exam

This is the first public financing disclosed by Shuangbanqiu. Previously, it has run through the commercialization closed-loop based on small-scale verification, and its core revenue comes from C-end single-course paid subscriptions. For users who complete the specified learning path, the product promises "full refund if you fail the exam", which is not only an endorsement of effect, but also a self-discipline rule. The current challenge is that its coverage is currently centered on Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces, and a national campus operation network still needs to be built.

In September this year, Shuangbanqiu established its wholly-owned subsidiary Ciyuan Tongxu in Nanjing, extending its business from final exam preparation to AI capability training and employment connection for college students, providing engineering capability training and industrial post matching services.

From one single course to four years of university life

Zheng Hanchen, Founder and CEO of Shuangbanqiu, graduated from the Master of Supply Chain Management program at MIT. In his view, the core of supply chain management is to standardize non-standard resources and then complete performance through a distributed network, which follows the exact same logic as the company's co-operation model of "headquarters delivers products while local partners implement landing". Zheng Hanchen said, "We are not aiming to develop a general-purpose question drilling tool. Instead, we want to truly stand in the rigid demand scenario of ordinary college students' final exam review, use AI to organize scattered information into efficient learning paths that truly adapt to their own universities and courses, and make technology land in the real demand for efficiency improvement. However, we prefer to call ourselves a product and service company that is willing to pursue dreams together with young people. The mindset and needs of current and future college students in this specific stage are what Shuangbanqiu truly aims to capture."

After the injection of this round of funds, the team will improve the granularity of AI scenario intelligence, and replicate the co-operation network verified in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui to universities across the country. Final exam review is the highest-frequency rigid demand contact point for college students. Shuangbanqiu hopes to take this as an entry point, extend from the exam preparation entrance to capability training and employment services, and build an AI service entrance for undergraduate students across the country.
