65% of high-end APDs rely on imports, and the pulsed laser market is dominated by overseas players. Guanghe Zhigan is committed to opening up the full chain "from components to complete equipment" to realize full domestic substitution of high-end laser sensing.
The core components of high-end laser sensing equipment have long relied on imports, and procurement costs and supply chain security have become common constraints for downstream users. Guanghe Zhigan (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Guanghe Zhigan") is promoting full domestic substitution of high-end laser sensing equipment and has launched a new round of financing.
The pain of import dependence in the high-end laser sensing sector
Laser sensing equipment uses laser as the measurement carrier, and converts physical quantities such as distance, speed and morphology into available data through principles including time-of-flight ranging, phase ranging and coherent detection. It is widely applied in scenarios such as industrial on-line inspection, power and rail transit inspection, environmental monitoring and scientific research metrology, and serves as the key perception link for high-end equipment and industrial automation.
There has long been a structural gap in this field. Data from industry research reports show that lasers and photodetectors are the links with the highest technical threshold in laser sensing equipment, accounting for more than 40% of upstream costs. Taking high-end avalanche photodiodes (APDs) as an example, the import dependence of the local market still reached 65% in 2024, and high-end pulsed lasers have also long been dominated by overseas manufacturers, with Chinese enterprises holding a market share of less than 20% before. For downstream users, imported equipment means higher procurement costs, longer delivery cycles and limited customized response, and some application scenarios also face supply chain uncertainties.
Certain support at the policy level is already in place. The Outline of the 14th Five-Year Plan proposes to focus on key fields such as high-end chips, operating systems, key artificial intelligence algorithms and sensors, and accelerate the R&D breakthrough and iterative application of basic theories, basic algorithms and equipment materials. According to data from CCID Consulting, the size of China's sensor market will reach about 470 billion yuan in 2025, and it is expected to maintain an annual growth rate of about 15% during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. Under the resonance of policy and market, the window for domestic substitution of high-end laser sensing equipment is opening up.
The full-domestication path from core components to complete machines
Industrial and commercial information shows that Guanghe Zhigan was established in May 2026, with its registered address in Beijing and Yan Zhanbiao as the legal representative. Its business scope covers integrated circuit design, optoelectronic device manufacturing and sales, and technology development services, which directly corresponds to the R&D chain of high-end laser sensing equipment.
According to the project party, Guanghe Zhigan is positioned as the only domestic project that has realized full domestic substitution for foreign high-end laser sensing equipment. Its technical route emphasizes full-chain independence: the laser source, photoelectric detection device, signal processing circuit and application-specific integrated circuit, complete machine system and demodulation algorithm are all completed based on the domestic supply chain and self-developed solutions, which enables the complete machine to match imported equipment in key indicators such as measurement accuracy, range and long-term stability, and forms differentiated advantages in cost, delivery and localized services with the help of the domestic supply chain.
The industrial value of this path lies in that most of the previous domestic substitutions were concentrated in the complete machine integration link, and core components such as lasers and detectors still need to be purchased externally. The realization of the connection from components to complete machines means that the reliability, supply safety and iteration rhythm of products are controlled by the project team, which is also the key difference between this project and most similar teams.
Business model and financing progress
In terms of business model, Guanghe Zhigan takes the sales of complete high-end laser sensing equipment as the core, targets customers in the fields of industrial inspection, power and transportation infrastructure monitoring, scientific research metrology, etc., and provides customized development and supporting technical services relying on its capabilities in integrated circuit design and optoelectronic device manufacturing, forming a revenue structure combining complete machine sales, customized development and technical services. Its target users are concentrated in scientific research institutions and industrial customers who have dual requirements for measurement accuracy and supply chain security. This part of demand was previously mainly met by imported equipment, with a clear substitution space.
In terms of team and progress, the company is led by Yan Zhanbiao, with its R&D direction focusing on laser light source, photoelectric detection and integrated circuit design. According to the project party, the products are currently in the stage of verification and market introduction. The company has launched a new round of financing, and the funds will be used for product R&D, supply chain construction and market expansion to promote the large-scale implementation of domestic high-end laser sensing equipment.
